"Woagh, big sister Mei, where did you kidnap this girl?" A tall guy that was standing in front of receptionist's desk asked Wu Mei while looking up and down to Mingyue. He had been a mercenary of this city for more than ten years and this was the first time he saw this event. Hewas clearly surprised by this view.

A new receptionist and a little girl on the top of it.

Mingyue felt the awkwardness for being stared by unknown peoples.

It was not weird for the mercenaries were interested in Mingyue since the youngest in the Mercenary Guild would at least had a big body or scar.

"Isn't she cute? Who said that I kidnap her! She is very willing to stay here" Wu Mei was actively responding to anyone who was talking and asking her.

". . . Isn't she an underage?" There were some people who didn't believe Mingyue's age. But since it didn't disturb anyone, no one cared too much about it.

"Nah, she is properly ten years old. Currently, she is in my care. So, if anyone dares to do something stupid. . . " The working Wu Mei suddenly cracked her fist while giving a threatening smile. Every people in the Mercenary Guild suddenly felt a cold-chilling murderous intent from Wu Mei.

All the people immediately shook their heads. After making sure that everyone heard her warning, Wu Mei returned to her works.

This place was in a mess, thanks to the number of mercenaries that were doing their job. Their job was like subjugating some Fierce Beast, escorting some caravan, guarding the city, harvesting herbs in a dangerous place, and even scouting and information gathering about the Fierce Beast movement. Well, that is the most basic job of a mercenary.

There is also a miscellaneous job type. For example, delivering a message, gathering herbs around the city, cleaning the city, or even sending items. But unlike the delightful state of big sis Mei, I am in a headache.
