CEO Husband Please Be Refrained

The manager arranged for Xia Weilan to meet with some celebrities. When she learned that she would be meeting Han Yishi, she was surprised. 

She went to the restaurant that they had booked. Instead of going for business negotiation, it felt more like she’s being treated like a guest.

“Weilan, have a seat and eat first. I’ll just follow what you want in the partnership. If I dare to pull any tricks on my Uncle’s company, he would surely kill me. You can go ahead and draft the proposal as you wish, I’ll be at your office to sign it once it’s ready.” Han Yishi said arrogantly.

Xia Weilan smiled, “You have risen to fame recently. You’re now a lead actor on the movies and TV series that are on air now. Hehe, you’re doing well. Your payout should be much higher than before.” 

Previously when Xia Weilan worked together with Han Yishi, he was already a celebrity with a huge devoted fan base. Now, he is even more remarkable. He is simply the nation’s male God. Many popular TV series invited Han Yishi to be the male lead. This shows how popular that Han Yishi has become now. 

Han Yishi didn’t dare to be presumptuous in front of Xia Weilan. He couldn’t help but lift his chest and say proudly, “Hehe, my Uncle had trained me well and I’ve worked very hard.” 

“Weilan, please order something first.” Han Yishi placed the menu in front of her and he looked a lot calmer than before. He had the style of a famous celebrity.

Xia Weilan figured that there is a reason why Han Yishi is so popular. He could be as active as a rabbit on the loose but when he was quiet, he possessed a reserved temperament. 

After she finished placing the order, she noticed that the waiter placed an extra set of cutlery beside her when he served the dishes.

“Is there anyone else coming?” asked Xia Weilan.

At this instant, the door opened slowly. She heard steady footsteps coming from behind her. By listening to the sound of the leather shoes clicking on the floor, Xia Weilan immediately figured out who was walking in.

“Uncle, you are here. Come, have a seat.” Han Yishi immediately turned into an obedient child. He stood up immediately from the chair and stood straight.  

“Yeah.” A deep and sexy voice was heard. Mo Beichen pulled the chair beside Xia Weilan and sat down beside her. 

Xia Weilan lifted her head to stare at him and at the same time, he was also staring at her. His eyes were as deep as the ocean, mixed with a complex emotion that Xia Weilan couldn’t read. 

Xia Weilan let out a sigh and whispered, “What brings you here?” 

“I happened to pass by.” Seeing that Xia Weilan acted calm on his sudden appearance, he was in a better mood. He continued, “I also swung by to see you.”

Han Yishi swept a glance at them and secretly mocked that his Uncle is really good at lying. This lunch appointment was in fact set up by his uncle and yet he deliberately showed up late and even claimed that he just happened to pass by only. 

However, he also remembered what his uncle had instructed him. He quickly said, “Uncle, my latest movie is about to be released in the cinema. This time, you must make some free time to watch it. And Weilan, this is for you. You must come and support me.” 

Han Yishi took out the movie tickets that he had prepared beforehand. He passed each of them a ticket and his eyes flickered like shining stars.

Xia Weilan took the movie ticket in her hand. She already figured that she will be seated next to Mo Beichen, but this is Han Yishi’s latest movie after all. Moreover, the ticket is for the evening show, there’s no reason for her not to go, “Okay, I’ll definitely be there.”  

As soon as she finished her words, the two men were relieved. 

Mo Beichen took the movie ticket with satisfaction. His gaze became a lot softer when he looked at Han Yishi. 

Han Yishi secretly curled his lips and covered his mouth to hide his chuckles. 

This is a rare opportunity for him to help Mo Beichen. Previously, it had always been Mo Beichen controlling him and now, Mo Beichen asked for his help. He felt as if the table had turned and he had become the master. There is no mention of how cool it is.

After they finished having lunch, Mo Beichen wanted to drive Xia Weilan back, but she rejected his offer. 

Mo Beichen stared at her deeply and asked, “Are you still angry at me?” 

Obviously, Xia Weilan was in a good mood during lunch just now and she even talked a bit with him.

Xia Weilan gritted her teeth. If she says she is not angry, wouldn’t it seem like she had forgiven him too quickly? But if she said she is still angry, she is worried that it would make Mo Beichen disappointed. 

She twitched her mouth and took out her keys, “I drove the company’s car here.”

Mo Beichen let out a sigh of relief, “I’ll get Xu Wei to drive your car back. Let me drive you back.” 

Xu Wei immediately took the key from Xia Weilan and drove the car off with the speed of a rocket.

Mo Beichen took Xia Weilan to his car and sent her back personally.

“Grandpa wants us to go back for dinner tonight.” Mo Beichen said as he drove.

“Okay.” Xia Weilan couldn’t refuse the request of the Old Master.

“Then I will pick you up at night.” Mo Beichen said quickly.

Snow was drizzling outside the window and it was cold outside. However, it was warm inside the car. Xia Weilan had long forgiven him. She figured that she must have fallen headfirst for Mo Beichen as she couldn’t even stand to stay angry with him.

She peeked at Mo Beichen’s side profile and curled her lips. 

Mo Beichen caught a glimpse of her smiling face through the rearview mirror and his mind went blank. He almost wanted to stop the car to give her a big hug. 

But he knew that he still needed to do more. Although Xia Weilan had forgiven him, he still felt guilty and wanted to make it up to her. 

That evening, when Old Master Mo saw them walk in together, he knew that they had mended their relationship. The old master was happy for them. 

Mo Donglin came in after them. The moment he walked in, he suggested to the old master, “Grandpa, it’s getting late. Can we let Yinyin have her dinner and allow her to continue with the kneeling tomorrow?” 

After he got approval from the old master, Mo Dong ran to the ancestral hall immediately. 

“This punk. He was usually calm and collected. But when it comes to Liu Yinyin, he was like a lost deer and he forgot all the etiquette.” 

Mo Donglin and a maid helped Liu Yinyin make her way to the dining hall. Her legs were totally numb and it felt as if there were a thousand ants crawling up her legs. She felt so uncomfortable that she was breaking cold sweats on her forehead and even her face looked a little hideous now. 

The moment she entered the dining hall, she immediately noticed Xia Weilan sitting on the dinner table and she almost let out a scream. 

“Yinyin, are you feeling unwell? Why are your eyes all red?” Mo Dongling noticed that Liu Yinyin’s eyes suddenly turned bloodshot red and he couldn’t help but ask. 

Liu Yinyin was so angry that she couldn’t speak. She dare not say out loud that she hated to see Xia Weilan’s face. She could only let out a cold snort, “My legs are numb.” 

Mo Donglin was relieved and he helped her sit on a couch and reached out to massage her legs and flexed her muscles and bones. 

They went to the dinner table after Liu Yinyin was feeling a lot more relieved. 

At the dinner table, Old Master Mo asked Xia Weilan how she is doing at the company. 

Xia Weilan replied to him, “Not bad.”
