Assassin Initiate

After the discussion, we all went to doing our stuff like usual. During that I got to know that Desmond is currently viewing Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Apparently Ezio was a Master Assassin active during 1459-1524 in Italy.

Ezio Auditore da Firenze was born in a noble family during Renaissance. Ezio lived a noble's life, full of luxury with his father and mother with three other siblings. The older brother Federico, the younger sister Claudia, and younger brother Petruccio. As a young man with hot blood, he had his encounters during youth. A love story, group of enemies, bunch of loyal friends etc.

Until the year 1476 came. Ezio became 17 years old. His father, Giovanni Auditore gave him a task to deliver two letters, and bring one back.

Completing his tasks, Ezio returned home and found his house ransacked with his father and brother missing, mother and sister hiding at his maid's house. Her mother, Maria, told her father and brother were arrested. Ezio pays a visit to the prison tower and was told by her father to not worry, the letter he send had proof of their innocence. His father also mentions a secret area in his study, and instructs to take everything from a c.h.e.s.t in the area.

Ezio returns home and directly went inside his father's study. That's where he found his father was an Assassin.

Next morning, he witnesses death of his father and brothers by public execution even when they were innocent.

Ezio swore to get revenge for it.

Only this much data was uncovered. After some time, I went home.

Around 12:30 at midnight, a van stopped at front of my house. I knew it was Shaun with Desmond as they texted me to come down. I went down and quietly left. I directly went towards the back of van and opened the door. I was shocked to see Rebecca there. She even waved at me.

"What are you doing here, Rebecca??" I asked her.

If she came, means the info was leaked to both girls. How will this even be a secret anymore.

"What? Of course I'm joining you guys. I saw Shaun behaving different than normal or suspiciously to be exact. So, I just asked him. Although I had to use some 'unusual' methods." She said with an expression of matter of fact while shrugging her shoulders.

I looked towards Shaun who was driving and he pretended to not hear us.

"So, what did Shaun told you?" This was the most important question.

"He said, you were taking those two on an adventure. So, I joined."

*Sigh* I sighed in relief when I heard that. At least Shaun is not as unreliable as he looks.

"Okay, fine. Now that everyone is here, we should hurry to the location."

After one and a half hour.

We reached a place resembling an old village and stopped there. The surroundings were dark. Fortunately, the sky was clear currently, and the moon was bright just enough to see things near us clearly. In this light we were able to make out silhouette of mountains surrounding the village.

"We can't go any further than this with van." Desmond who went to see the road further came and told us.

"So, let's continue on foot." Rebecca declared with excitement.I already told her the same story as I told Shaun and she happily agreed.

I looked towards Shaun who was currently looking at a device for locating the Vault. He said after looking for a while,

"Ok, the Vault should be around there somewhere. Lets search for it while walking." He pointed at the mountain in front of the van.

While walking, we passed the village, but it looks like it was abandoned. Broken buildings, trees and grass everywhere, etc.

Passing the village, we entered the mountain and started searching for anything out of place here. We don't know what we were looking for so, we took our time.

After about 40mins of searching, we gathered together.

"There is nothing here." Rebecca said while leaning against a tree.

"I just think, we are not looking carefully." Shaun said while replying.

I had no particular things to say, I just had a feeling that we need to find whatever thing here is.

I looked towards Desmond who seems to have grown silent after entering the mountain,

"Hey Desmond, you okay?"

Desmond looked like he just broke out of a trance and replied with a pause,

"Um,....I'm fine, it's just when I entered, I saw some .....images or patterns. Although it was only for a moment. I thought I was just imagining things. But, I saw something just now too. So, I think it might be more than just imagining. I also faced the same situation before once."

"What did you just say??" Shaun who came suddenly, asked Desmond with a serious expression. I chose to keep quiet watching this.

Once Desmond finished explaining things, Desmond and Rebecca had a complex expression. They exchanged glances with each other. After some time, Shaun said,

"It might be the Eagle Vision ability of Assassins. As we both are not true Assassins, we don't know much about it, just that it lets you see more than normal. This ability seems to be inherited."

"We should hurry, we also need to reach on time." I said to them. Everyone agreed.

Desmond took us to the place where he found the pattern. It was a small cliff, and we were standing while facing the cliff at the bottom. Desmond seems to be struggling with the Eagle Vision. I told him,

"Desmond no need to be this nervous, just calm down. I don't know how that ability works, but I think you should try to concentrate" I can only advice him this much.

Desmond calmed down a little, and started to knock, touch and rub the cliff. After some time,

"Looks like it has some kind of lock and I was unable to find any solution for it."

"We should head back. Although I know everyone is a little disappointed, but its time to leave." Shaun said while checking his phone.

I still felt like we should try once. There must be something here. Thinking like this I slowly started walking towards the cliff. I did the same thing as Desmond, knock , touch, rub. Suddenly my hand felt slight bump while rubbing, I pushed it.

*click* krrrrrrrrrrr......

Others, who were watching quietly revealed astonished expression.

The pushed button made click sound after which came sound of gears moving.

After few seconds, A door was revealed from the cliff, it was big and looked like a cave entrance.

We entered the cave and the entrance behind us closed.

The moment cave closed, the whole cave brightened up. The space inside the cave was not much, just 8 sq ft. We found ourselves inside a room. Grey color came into our view. The room was illuminated by several white light streaks running along the room. In the center was something resembling hand scanner by the hand print on the glass. It was above a stand.

I don't know what came into me after looking at it, I directly put my hand on it.

*hmmm* *hmm*

This time the sound was of the scanner scanning my hand. After which, the wall in front of us started going up, into the ceiling.

What came into our view was a humongous space, bigger than a football stadium with a height matching it.

But all our eyes were fixed on something in front of us.

There was an animus in front of us. And there was someone on it.
