An Inevitable Fate?

Chapter 50 - 50: There's no future for us. (13)

Jane got pulled away from the random guy by Ren. Before she could understand what was going on, Ren gave a hard punch onto that guy's face. The entire dance floor fell silent.

"What the hell man?" The guy who got punched gritted his teeth, holding his left cheek.

"Get the f.u.c.k out of here!" Ren shouted.

He rarely lost temper. A few minutes earlier, he had seen Jane pushing the guy's hand away from her, but when he saw the guy forcing himself on her again, he lost it.

"Who the hell are you?" That guy went forward and landed a punch on Ren's face. Though Ren tried to avoid it, he got hit. Jane finally came back to her senses and tried to separate them. But both of them had started to exchange heavy blows already. She was at loss and turned to look at Edwin who was standing not too far.

"Are you enjoying the show?" Jane shouted at him.

"Totally!" He even had the nerve to order a drink to enjoy the show.

"Damn you!" She was about to look for Alan, but a loud noise stopped her.

"Clank!" Two beer bottles were smashed on the floor.

A girl was standing on the first floor, with her hands on the railing. She was in a black sling top and jeans shorts.

"Crysta?" Jane almost felt like crying, seeing her. She was like a savior.

Both the guys had stopped fighting and now, they were looking at the girl. She looked like a bad-ass in those tight shorts and loose hair. The guy who had got punched for touching Jane had started to drool again.

On the other hand, Ren was burning with fury. He saw a guy holding Crysta's waist tightly from behind. And, she was standing there as if she wasn't the one who was being held.

When she tried to move away from his grip to climb down the stairs, he held her back, even more tightly. This scene made Ren burn himself down. He held his fist tight to control the unknown emotions.

He felt that this anger was different from the one before. He clenched and unclenched his fist several times.

Crysta came down towards them and stood in front of the two guys, glaring at them.

"Kids, go out and fight. This is not one of your school playgrounds to play." She was least bothered about the cause of the fight.

Jane smacked her head.

'What did I expect from her?' She soon regretted meeting her.

"Excuse me? Kids? Hey, babe, you are-"

"Tsk!" Crysta didn't even wait for that guy to finish, she turned and started walking.

Just as everyone thought she would leave, she spoke without turning back.

"Don't come to such places if you can't protect yourself. If I see you next time, Rachel will take a class for you. Mind it!" Then, she left.

Of course, Jane understood that it was meant to her. She covered her face with hands to avoid the embarrassment.

"Babe, you are now making it obvious," Edwin whispered from behind. Jane turned and started beating him.

The other guy said something like an arrogant bitch before leaving. Ren without knowing himself ran behind Crysta.

Avery and Alan had stood up from their place when the fight broke out. Seeing that both Ren and Edwin were there for Jane, Alan didn't go.

Now that Avery saw Ren following the girl desperately out of the club, she felt disappointed.

Jane and Edwin came back to their table, quarreling.

"It was your fault." Jane smacked Edwin's head.

"How in the world is it my fault?" Poor Edwin rubbed his head.

"You left me alone to dance with some red-haired girl!"

"Oh yeah, she was hot." Jane rolled her eyes.

"Why did Ren go behind that girl?" Edwin asked when he remembered Ren following Crysta.

"Right, I forgot. She's Crysta, my sister's friend." She said in a matter-of-fact.

"So?" Unexpectedly, it was Avery who asked.

"I don't know." Jane paused before answering. None of them continued the conversation.

Outside the club, Crysta was leisurely walking along the road. Suddenly, she felt someone grip her hand and forcefully turning her around.

She was met with piercing eyes, which were filled with nothing but anger. She waited for the other party to speak.

"Were you alone there?" Ren still didn't know why he had followed her.

"How is it any of your business?" She tried to get her hand back but to her surprise, his grip was tight.

Ren frowned but didn't free her hand.

"You don't remember me?" He unknowingly held his breath.

What makes the writers happy? Of course, it is readers' constant love and support. Not for us but our book. Creation is hard. But surprisingly, readers' motivation makes it easier for us. Encouragement is what the writers ask for! It's not too much, right?!!

We have completed fifty chapters. It may be not a big issue for others but, for me, it is huge! My first work! I am thankful to each and every reader for accompanying this novel till now. I hope this continues until the very end of the journey.
