An Inevitable Fate?

Jane who had seen Rachel avoiding Darren went to search for her. When she saw her turning towards the corridor, she tried following her only to get blocked by a handsome guy.

Alan stood in front of her. "Hey! ..hey! where are you going?" He was panting. He had a hard time catching up with her.

'How can anyone walk so fast. That too, wearing such long gown and some ridiculous heels'

[A/N: I guess, you should be careful with Jane.]

She ignored and tried to walk past him.

Seeing her going towards the corridor he panicked. "Hey, I'm speaking to you. Stop right there. Can't you hear me? HEY!!" All his shouting went into thin air.

When she saw two people kissing, she panicked thinking it could be Rachel.

Alan who followed her also saw what those two were doing. His heart almost came out of his mouth. If he doesn't stop her from recognizing them, then he would lose his head for sure. Without any other option, he grabbed Jane's hand and dragged her.

She was shocked to see some random guy behaving like this. She yelled at him.

"You stupid moron! What's the matter with you? No, tell me, who the hell are you first?"

He tried covering her mouth using his hand to stop her shouting and said, "Shh! Don't shout! Why are you disturbing....."

He stopped speaking suddenly. Why?

"Ahhh! You d*mn girl. Are you a dog? How can you bite my hand like that?"

There was a proud smile on Jane's face. "That's what you get for treating me like that. Hmph!" saying this she turned back towards that corridor again.

Without any other option, Alan held her neck from behind, turned her towards him and leaned his face to kiss her.

'ah, my kiss is getting wasted with this girl.'

What he didn't expect was to get slapped right across his face. Stunned! He stood there with his eyes wide open.

"How dare you! what do you think of me? huh? You pervert! I guess you have escaped from a mental hospital. Get out of this place while I'm still being nice to you. If I see you again then you are D.E.A.D! got it?" she left without glancing back.

Alan slowly lifted his hand to touch his burning cheek. It was so painful.

'When a guy tries to kiss a girl, after refusing for a few seconds, she would close her eyes and kiss him back right? She would be blushing after that. They would deepen the kiss I guess? This is what happens in movies. But in reality....'

He mumbled, "I got slapped. Why did it not work in my case? And it is so painful! ahhhh!"

He gritted his teeth and thought 'My new goal is to make your life hell. Haha! Wait for it, you .. mm...I should know her name first. D*mn it!'

Jane after dealing with him went back to find her sister. But she could only return to her parents without her.

Rachel stood from the ground. It took all of her energy to reach the washroom. Seeing her face in the mirror, all she could think of was a 22-year-old boy's face from four years back. She took a deep breath. To calm her trembling heart, she splashed cold water onto her face. After fixing her makeup, she left.

When she entered the hall, Jane came running towards her. "Sis, where were you? I searched everywhere. Dad and mom were scared thinking that you might want to cancel the engagement. What happened?"

"Nothing. Let's go. It's almost time" saying this she went towards the stage.

On her way, she searched everywhere but couldn't find him. This made her believe as if everything was just her illusion. But she knew it was not.

Darren was already waiting for her on the stage. Though he was irritated because of her behavior he didn't show it on his face. All the guests surrounded them and waited eagerly.

She put the diamond ring onto his ring finger. He also did the same. After putting the ring, he held her hand and kissed it gently. Cheers erupted inside the hall. She felt relief as nothing happened.

'Finally, everything got over. I guess it was just my guilty conscience. Why would he come here all of a sudden? That's highly im....'

Her thoughts stopped right there. She saw a familiar face standing at the end of the hall with some other guy. He was standing with the same evil grin he had on that day.

She changed her thoughts.

"Possible".
