Sumire swiftly left the ground and went to the locker room to change. By the time, the rest of the class-girls were there, she was nowhere to be seen.

All of them were confused.

"Ano, where do you think Azumi-san might be?" Uraraka wondered.

"Truthfully, I have no idea at all." Yaoyorozu mused.

"But she was awesome right!" Ashido chirped.

"En! I agree. She was able to answer in front of everyone...I would get really nervous, if it was me, even though no one can see me." Hagakure admitted.

"That means she's got nice confidence, rabbit." Asui...croaked?

'As expected of the topper in the practical exam.' the girls thought. And like any other girls, they liked to talk about someone who's not present.

Sumire completed her 'work' and went towards the cafeteria and grabbed some food. As she was late to come, the place was jammed. Sighing about her bad luck, she started hunting for some empty place…

Uraraka saw a slender figure holding a food tray and seeking an empty seat to eat. She noticed it was Azumi from before. She wanted to call for her, but she noticed the seat was taken by Iida.

'I hope she gets a place quickly, there's not much time left after all.'

Uraraka's wishes always come true. Sumire found a seat, in fact an entirely vacant table, well there was one person sitting in it.

"Excuse me, can I sit here?"

"F*ck off." the person clearly didn't want to be disturbed.

"Thank you, I'll sit here then." Sumire had little to no shame, sometimes.

"Huh, what? Don't you understand human-" The person was about to curse some more but the words didn't come out when he saw Sumire, he seemed even more annoyed?

"...Demon, get out."

"Give me ten no, five minutes, I'll eat and go away, okay?"

"Tsch."

Sumire started eating her lunch and soon finished it.

"Thanks, Bakugou-kun. I'll be leaving now."

"Whatever."

"Oh, and my name is Azumi Sumire, not Demon. Farewell." With that she walked away.

'Damn woman.' Bakugou thought, finally relieved that she was gone. He didn't know why, but he constantly felt at an edge around her.

The afternoon classes were normal. Time passed and the day ended. Everyone were heading home. Sumire and Bakugou moved at the same time, both were early birds after all.

Soon, the streets were less crowded or rather empty. Hence, Bakugou finally noticed another person walking alongside him.

"Hey, why the hell are you following me?"

"My home's this way too."

"Damn."

"What's your problem really?"

"None of your f*cking business, you Demon." Sumire hated the word. Taking a deep breath, she tried calming herself.

"I'll say it again, my name is-"

"Shut up, you noisy Demon."

Sumire stopped walking. She just grabbed the boy by his collar and dragged him into an alley. She pinned him to the wall and looked into his eyes. Her eyes contained no single emotion and were cold, like ice. She started speaking, her voice too, was devoid of emotions.

"What did I say?"

"W-What's wrong with you?"

"Didn't I tell you not to call me 'Demon.' I think I did."

"Kuh...like I care." Bakugou was struggling under her grip, which was gradually tightening around his neck.

"You should." Sumire strengthened her grip. Bakugou was suffocating at this point, but still refused to back down. When he was merely seconds away to die, Sumire left him and went her way.

Bakugou fell down, gasping for air. He looked at the vanishing figure in the slightest trepidation.

After a long time, he got up and went home.

His mother opened the door with a smile, but he just ignored it and went towards his room.

"Katsuki, how was your first day at school-, you brat, answer me first!" His mother was fuming mad, but she also noticed he was a little off, by this point, her son would've shouted something in return.

She was right, but wasn't just a little off.

Bakugou entered his room and closed the door. His face was dark, and very dark.

'Damn'

'Damn...damn, damn it, damn it all!!'

For the first time, Bakugou only screamed in his mind.

.

.

.

Sumire flash stepped. Her destination was not the orphanage but somewhere close to it.

She ultimately stopped at a place what looked like an underground bas.e.m.e.nt.

She seized a wooden sword and started slashing the air. She kept slashing.

All the memories she didn't want to recall were gushing forward like an unstoppable torrent.

{

'Kill him.' The man sternly ordered.

'But I-I, t-there's no need to k-kill him…' the demented man looked at the young girl and slapped her.

'Remember, you are not allowed to disobey me, you understand?'

The pain was too much for the young girl to bear, but still refused to reply to him.

The man sneered and continued punching her. He fractured every bone and continued doing till there was nothing left to be damaged.

'I'll ask you again, do you understand?' the helpless girl still didn't say anything, she was going to die anyway, at least she'd did with what she believed she was doing right.

When she was about to die needlessly, all the ghastly wounds on the girls body faded. The deranged man sneered at her and started brutally torturing her again. The process repeated for countless times. The girl's earnest spirit broke till there was nothing left, much to the man's satisfaction.

The girl walked towards the person lying on a table. He was experimented on and scarcely survived. She had to kill him now. She took a surgical blade and moved towards him.

The person was awake and looked anxiously at her. He was clearly begging.

But the girl didn't stop. She slashed his neck. Blood splattered on her face. The girl overheard the last things the dying person said dully.

'...you demon.' The words caused a little emotion to appear in the girl's eyes.

'I'm sorry.' The girl whispered.

The girl thought it would be over if she just closed her eyes.

But no, it was never done. Every thought of rebelling was curbed. Her movements were controlled. Before she knew, even her emotions were controlled.

Her life, what meaning does it have? Was there any meaning at all? She only knows that she has to follow the man's command.

}

"Remember Nemu, I created you. The reason you exist is for my dream of evolution. Never forget that."

The man's words echoed throughout Sumire's mind. She wanted to scream but no voice came.

[Why, am I becoming like him again?]

[No! I will never let it happen. Ever. I am Azumi Sumire, not Kurotsuchi Nemu. I am free.]

Sumire told herself again and again.

Taking a deep breath she went to the orphanage. Mrs Sakaki knowing about the place was the last thing Sumire wanted.

After a bath, she lied on her bed.

"How was your day? Mine was horrible, my new classmates are really dumb."

"Mine too. But my classmates are a little less dumb."

"Lucky you. Do they teach quantum Mechanics in high school?"

"No, it's thought in University."

"Ah, then I have to wait a decade to learn it? Life's so boring, I should probably sleep."

"It's 4:30 pm, Kiyoko-chan. Mrs Sakaki would definitely wake you up for dinner."

"I could skip for one day."

"No."

"Don't you see it? My dreams about learning advanced studies was completely crushed! I'm being thought counting numbers! What happened to the 'premium primary school'? That's ridiculous and I'm upset. Nothing's going to make me feel better."

"How about some cookies?"

"Sure!"

"Here then, have some."

The girl who was upset and dissatisfied a moment ago changed to happy and content.

It's all the magic of cookies. They're miracles.

"Munch...So, why are you so down? Mimoka and Shikari won't come till next week to 'torture' you(?). Don't tell me you're sad cause you miss them!" Kiyoko was horrified at that thought.

"Wha...No! I mean yeah, I do miss them, but-"

"Thank all gods in the world."

"You sound mean, Kiyoko-chan."

"I'm just happy that you don't have Stockholm syndrome."

"What? Of course I don't have it. Wait, how did you learn the word?"

"From society. Please alienate me from it. I'll be grateful."

"More like Internet. I can alienate you from that."

"Gosh, I read it from the newspaper. Do you even have any idea what kind of people are out there?"

"For one, you don't read the newspaper."

"You have no idea. Mrs Sakaki didn't allow me to sleep, so reading the newspaper was a desperate way to avoid boredom. The crime section was a treasure, you see."

"You're unbelievable."

"Same to you. But now, tell me what's bothering you. Don't underestimate me just because I'm 6 and a half years old"

"Haha, fine. I hurt someone today."

"What's there to be sad about it?"

"Kiyoko-chan, why is your worldview so...twisted?"

"For the record, it's the world that's twisted not me. And basically, as the person you are, you won't hurt someone without a reason, hence there's no reason to feel so bad about it. See? As simple as a cookie."

"...you're exactly wrong, but not right either you know?"

"Yeah. How do you expect a 6 year old to understand a teenager's problem. That's like asking Madonna to become Einstein."

"You behave like a drunk when you're sleep deprived."

"Yeah and it's not my fault. But you know, just apologize to the person, that's what Sakaki baa-san made me do when I hurt a boy from kindergarten last year, which was also not my fault."

"You know what? You're right, I'll try that,"

"Good and also give the person a kudos behalf of me."

"Why?"

"It's not a rare thing, the person, whoever it is, making you this angry. He deserves praise for the effort."

Sumire never agreed to that.
