Aphis stared down the Crimson Eyed Horned Rabbit which was angrier than a man-eating ghost. Aphis's clothes despite being bloody were otherwise in perfect condition.

It was time for Aphis to finish this fight!

Determined to win, Aphis clenched the handle of Lifetaker. He threw himself towards the horned rabbit who had released its aura which was at early stages of the body tempering realm.

The crimson-eyed horned rabbit wore a vicious expression on his face that betrayed its primarily innocuous appearance. It was going to teach a lesson to Aphis that it he would bring to his grave, thinking: " My horn! How dare that mere human do that to my precious horn!" It did not care about the other beasts in the forest, Aphis was going to pay with his life!

Bounding towards Aphis, the horned rabbit unleashed a kick that was many times stronger than before. Not daring to take the hit directly on, Aphis moved out of the way. His body reacting slower than the crimson-eyed horned rabbit was scr.a.p.ed by its attack. A gash opened on Aphis's waist launching a stream of fresh blood out of the wound.

Aphis winced, letting out a curse. Before refocusing himself by biting down on his tongue, the pain centering his thoughts. He was not going to be a coward, not anymore.

Aphis chopped at the horned rabbit with all the strength that his body was able to muster. He was hurting like hell, but dying would not even allow him to complain. He could complain after he beat the crimson-eyed horned rabbit into the ground.

Aphis now wounded had his mobility limited. Not able to move as fast Aphis didn't wait for his death, and he threw a handful of healing pills into his mouth. As to not waste his supply of them, he consumed only the lowest quality one's he had currently stored in his inventory.

The prowess of the healing pills went to work and the wound began to visibly close up. The Blood-eyed horned rabbit was extremely displeased by this development. It had landed a solid hit on the cultivators body, and before it could follow up and end the cultivator's life, the cultivator consumed pills. This only caused the rabbit to become more infuriated.

This cultivator was no good. This bumbling lard broke its horn, and had pills? Retaliation from Aphis's possible background did not cross the Crimson-eyed horned rabbit's mind. It wanted devour Aphis's flesh! That would not make up for the loss of its horn, but it would feel good.

Aphis didn't want to meet his maker there, he had to do what he could to win. Thinking about how the rabbit felt? That was laughable. He would not die to please the horned rabbit. He would end the crimson-eyed horned rabbits life, and that was that.

The Lifetaker Cleaver at his side, Aphis made his move now that his mobility was restored. He had received too many wounds it was time to end this childish farce.

Aphis dashed towards the rabbit. This was the start of his journey. This crimson-eyed horned rabbit? Not even a pebble on his path.

Aphis didn't hesitate to slash down at the horned rabbit. The horned rabbit possessing greater power and speed did not put the cultivator before him in his eyes. A Body Tempering Realm Cultivator, afraid of a Qi-sensing Cultivator, what a joke.

The crimson-eyed horned rabbit waved its paw to redirect the path of the cleaver. Though it was stronger, technique and power created a larger chasm than if the components remained separate. It would show itself as superior in any way that it could to the fat cultivator. Just thinking about its broken horn made the crimson-eyed horned rabbit gnash its teeth.

Facing the bladed edge of the cleaver rather than the blunt side of the cleaver was able to cut through the fur of the crimson-eyed horned rabbit like a lawnmower cuts down grass. Without difficulty, and with terrifying ease.

Having superior reflexes and speed, it avoided having its paw being split into two, if by a hair. A chill crawled down the spine of the rabbit.

Was the cleaver that sharp? What grade of weapon was it? It looked normal. But that sharpness… Another chill wept down the rabbit's back.

Not believing it would be outdone in power, the rabbit smacked with all its power this time towards Aphis. The other time was just luck. That is what the crimson-eyed horned rabbit believed. At least, the cultivator was far behind the prowess of the weapon otherwise the rabbit would have run away. As the cultivator was that weak, and luckily so unskilled, it stood a chance at overwhelming Aphis.

The rabbit sprang towards Aphis. Seeing the sharpness of the cleaver in action, Aphis wielded the cleaver with both hands to increase the power behind his strike.

The horned rabbit honed in on Aphis's location with incredible speed! It moved in a zigzag pattern not daring to stop for even a second. It would not stay still as to let the cultivator exploit the piercing power of the cleaver which could kill him if it landed.

Aphis had thought of a plan to win this battle. His cultivation base was lacking behind the horned rabbits, so he had to use strategy to supplement his inferior strength.

As if he was going fight with his cleaver in his hands, he gripped the hilt of the cleaver harder.

The Crimsoned-Eyed Horned Rabbit neared closer and closer. Its body basically a blur.

Aphis did not let himself be a sitting duck. He would die if he stayed still. Aphis quickly threw the cleaver like a tomahawk which shot towards the Crimson-eyed horned rabbit head on.

The Crimson-eyed horned rabbit laughed at this. This fatso was weak, and an idiot. Such an attack would never land… the Crimson-eyed horned rabbit was able to nimbly avoid the cleaver by dodging to the side with time to spare.

Unexpectedly, immediately after he saw a spear-like weapon appear in Aphis's hands which took no time at all to take to the skies towards the crimsoned-eyed horned rabbit!

The Crimson-eyed horned rabbit did its best to dodge the spear, however, the spear pierced the Crimson-eyed horned rabbits body all the way through without any resistance.

The Crimson-Eyed Horned Rabbit coughed raggedly before breathing its last breath. Watching the scene, Aphis felt a tug on his heart in two directions. One, he had killed someone and two, he had protected his little life.

Using the system for his goals would require effort and sacrifices on his part. Killing was something he had to get used to. However, having been taught that killing is wrong by his parents had put a bad taste in his mouth when what he had just done began sinking in.

He may have killed someone… but… holding back the bittersweet tears, Aphis lightly smiled as he looked towards the skies that were pierced by the brilliant green trees.

He had survived!
