VIP System: The Top-Up Paragon

Aphis watched as the Crimson-eyed Horned Rabbit sauntered towards him with a clear intent to fight.

Though, having chugged down a double experience elixir, and was currently wielding his recently obtained cleaver, the lifetaker, Aphis was not ready to battle against this demonic beast. He did not know anything about fighting, let alone a demonic beast… but it would be something he would have to learn as he went along…

The Crimson-eyed Horned Rabbit possessed a superior cultivation base, and had a smaller body able to run away if things went astray.

The Crimson-eyed Horned Rabbit continued to think, a cultivator at the Qi-shaping realm was nothing to worry about. 'It would be an easy meal' thought the Crimson-Eyed Horned rabbit.

Aphis brandished his cleaver and ran towards the horned crimson-eyed Horned Rabbit. When they were in short proximity to each other, the two began to clash. Aphis chopped down with his cleaver, the sheen of the cleaver glistening as the air was split in two. The crimson-eyed rabbit shook its head. It took note of Aphis's slow movements as it skipped to the side dodging Aphis's inept cleaver-mastery. The rabbit moved noticeably faster than Aphis who was at the Qi-Shaping Realm. The demonic rabbit beast rebounded off one of the towering trees shooting towards Aphis like a bullet. Aphis had a mere moment to block the crimson-eyed rabbits attack, hardly shielding himself by putting forth the blunt edge of the cleaver like a shield.

The Crimson-eyed horned rabbit crashed into the base of the cleaver's blade, believing the weapon would be broken apart. Instead, Aphis's cleaver withstood the attack, not even being dented. The Crimson-eyed horned rabbit bounded back from the blade to the ground. Aphis however crashed to the ground from the impact, coughing up a mouthful of blood. He pushed himself off the ground in a hurry, his entire body trembling.

The Crimson-eyed horned rabbit was quick to jump back into it swiftly dashing towards Aphis with increased impetuousness. Unlike Aphis's gaze which had been shaken from the blow, cursing: "That… f.u.c.k.i.n.g… hurt!" Aphis's words broken, droplets of blood swimming down from his mouth. Already upon him, the Crimson-eyed rabbit belted Aphis's gut before Aphis could lift his cleaver. Aphis was thrown few feet away a second time. Blood droplets had spritzed the grass from his mouth before his body met the ground. A loud crunch was heard when Aphis's body hit the ground along with a loud agonizing scream.

Content with the one-sidedness of this battle, the Crimson-Eyed Horned Rabbit reaffirmed the cultivator as prey losing the hesitation that it had been clinging to. Ready to finish off the weak cultivator, swiping its clawed feet on the ground, it charged at Aphis like a bull.

Aphis was overwhelmed with pain which was coming from his entire body, not able to even turn his head, let alone move his body out of harm's way. He would have fallen into despair if he did not have hope of turning the situation around.

"How about you try that again? You f.u.c.k.i.n.g rabbit." Aphis grunted. His words although not directly understood, the vague meaning could be inferred by the horned rabbit.

The rabbit believed the cultivator was a sadist that was now nearing death and was only spouting bullshit. The Horned Rabbit was happy to fulfill such a request. It believed that prey tasted better if they did not have any regrets. A smirk lit up the horned rabbits face as it looked at Aphis. 'Your wish is granted human' the horned rabbit thought, dashing towards him. 'I this rabbit shall kill you!'

When the horned rabbit was only a couple of inches away from Aphis who it had deemed as prey something surprising happened. The fat cultivator on the ground began laughing. "Hahaha, good timing. Good timing."

At this, subconsciously the rabbit took a few steps back, as something else even wilder happened. The cultivator's body glowed a bright azure, and the wounds that the rabbit had dealt to the cultivator were disappearing. The rabbit did not like where this was going ready to pierce the cultivator with the horn on its head and pounced! Running towards The horned rabbit covered the few inches of ground between it and the cultivator in a second.

As swift as a sudden morning breeze Aphis's qi surrounded Lifetaker, Aphis stood before the horned-rabbit once again as straight as a sword and cleaved down!...

Aphis barked: "Its round two!" His body now fully healed as he had leveled up from fighting the demonic beast even if it was a one-sided beatdown.

The rabbit didn't hesitate to put its horn forth. Their horn wasn't so weak as to break before a Qi-shaping cultivators weapon! Aphis's cleaver met the horn of the Crimson-eyed Horned Rabbit!

Suddenly, a loud sound rang out as the two's attacks met. Crack!

The rabbit too engrossed in the fight than about the sound applying more force and pushed out with its horn. Aphis did the same but with his cleaver barely holding his ground his body sliding the dirt farther and farther back, his arms as heavy as lead.

Crack! The loud sound stirred in their ears again.

This time, the rabbit saw something that caused its heart to freeze, the source of the noise! Its horn had been cracked in their duel! Before it could stop what it was doing, a large chunk of the horn crashed to the ground. A rage boiled in the rabbits heart like never before, it thought 'I shall feast on your bones human!' A loud growl and aura that was of the Body Tempering Realm was let out!

It was going to kill that damn human for breaking its horn!

Aphis despite having the upper hand in the clash there, was suppressed when the entirety of the might of the Crimson-eyed Horned Rabbit was unleashed! The power of a Body-Tempering cultivator was heads and shoulders over the might of a Qi-Shaping cultivator.

But as the battle continued, Aphis was improving his willpower and technique, and through the system his cultivation. Aphis had everything he needed to overpower the Crimson-eyed Horned Rabbit! A bit longer and he would win!
