Uchiha's Butterfly

Anko was woken up by two women's mad laughs, opening her eyes she saw now destroyed training ground in the middle of it Kaname and Pakura were standing with big grins on their faces. In Kaname's hand was a white-red orb of swirling chakra stopped a hair's breadth away from Pakura's face. The green-haired woman had an orb of scorching orange flames in her hand placed next to Kaname's body.

"Let's call it a draw Kana-chan? I will get chewed out by Yondaime-sama for the damage we did already"

"Hehe, okay Paku-chan I can agree for a draw. But the damage was mostly done by you"

"*Ehem* You created a new tunnel" Pakura pointed her finger to the destroyed wall behind her back.

"Okay, I overdid it that time. But this cave's roof was taken out by you"

"Naruto-kun, what has happened?" Anko asked the blonde boy hiding behind her back.

"You miss Sasa kickass"

"Anko you woke up! Did you see our fight?" Kaname asked.

"Nope, I was awakened by you cackling like madmen"

"Pity, It is hard to find a kunoichi that I can fight almost without holding anything back. Right, Kana-chan?"

"Yep, I could put some more oomph behind my attacks…"

"This is you two holding back?!" Anko pointed at the training ground full of new craters.

"Hmm, I don't remember that one" Kaname replied brainstorming.

"Wasn't this your Rasengan Barrage Kana-chan?"

"Oh, right! But half of them got the scorching marks from your orbs of firey doom"

"... Whatever. The chūnin exams will start in three hours, but before that Kazekage asked me to bring him to you. I talked with him yesterday's night, it seems he decided about you examining his son. Get yourself a shower, I will wait for you" she replied with a blush on her face.

Twenty minutes later Kaname stood in Kazekage's office.

"Hello, Kazekage-sama. How can I help?" she bowed her head in a greeting.

"I heard what you did yesterday, I find it troubling that you have so much control over my village greatest weapon. I hope you will never use your Sharingan in my family's presence if you do I will order your immediate removal. That will be all"

"Eh?" Pakura was perplexed, "Rasa-sama, don't you want Kaname-san to examine your son?"

"No, I do not" his eyes wandered to the blonde boy sitting on Kaname's arm.

"You and your Hokage almost destroyed the alliance between our villages bringing in Konoha's weapon inside my village" his voice was full of venom.

"His name is Naruto, and neither he nor your son is a weapon" Kaname replied, turning her back on him and going to the doors.

"Wait! I can let you examine Gaara"

"... Hurry up Kazekage, I don't have all day"

"I will let you study Gaara's seal if you let my village examine the seal on this blonde brat"

"Yondaime-sama…" Pakura murmured behind his back.

'Breath Kaname… Breath…' Kaname was barely holding back.

"Is this your offer for me saving your son from his impending psychosis Kazekage? I hoped you loved your son, sorry for the misunderstanding." Kaname bowed her head and left the office.

"Yondaime-sama, Karura-sama would be outraged with you..." Pakura whispered.

"How dare you speak her name! I will not let anyone examine the seal we use to hold the Ichibi!" he shouted at her.

"*Sigh* Do you think Konoha wants that seal Kazekage-sama? They have got better ones holding back at least nine times more powerful Bijuu in reins. Kaname-san offered you help, in response, you asked her to give her child away for experiments."

"It killed Karura, I will not let anyone close to the seal"

"Karura-sama was killed by the Council's and your decision to seal the bijuu in the fetus, Gaara-kun is innocent. Do you even remember what she said before her death?!" Pakura shouted at him.

"To protect Gaara, which I'm doing right now"

"No! With a smile on her face, she asked us to love and protect him. Making him live through the torture of barely sealed tailed beast is neither. I had enough, for now, we will meet at the exams Kazekage-sama"

Pakura found Kaname sitting on a bench of the nearest playground, Naruto was playing tag with other kids.

"I'm sorry for this Kana-chan"

"Not your fault, but please be careful. Jinchūrikis should be raised with love, in my opinion, hate will only lead to a self-fulfilling prophecy"

"What do you mean?"

"Everyone has a breaking point Paku-chan, if Suna population will treat Gaara-kun as a monster he will become one. You are on the brink of fully releasing the Shukaku upon the village."

"I understand, I will protect him as long as I can"

"And what if the dork orders you to stop?"

"Heh, I'm loyal to the village, Kazekage doesn't need to know everything" Pakura smirked.

"Good luck Paku-chan. Be careful around him as well, it seems like he doesn't like competition"

"I was his wife's step-sister, I doubt he will do anything to me, but I will keep my eyes open"

"Let's change the topic. Any interesting candidates for the chūnin this time?"

"Couple of Suna ninja will most likely get the title. Thinking now isn't an Uchiha taking part in the exams, family of yours?"

"A clan member, one of my students in the academy"

"So you are a teacher?"

"I was, for one and a half years. Anyone else?"

"Hmm, a team from Kumogakure came as well" Pakura replied.

"Kumo? What are they doing on the other side of a continent?"

"Most likely they're looking for impressing our clients and removing them from our market. The Kumo team came with two boys, a girl, and their sensei. The worst part is that they stormed through the preliminaries. As of yet, they have got the best chances to win the tournament"

"You couldn't pull some strings, like making them fight each other?" Kaname asked.

"How dare you ask my village to cheat Kana-chan? In full and transparent randomness two of them are fighting in the first round"

"Heh, is the Raikage coming here?"

"Nope, too long of a trip for a single team"

"Good, the meeting between three Kages would be like a powder keg…"

"I think it's time for you to go prepare, the exams start in an hour Kana-chan. We will see each other there"

"Nah, I will let Naruto-chan run around for a little while longer. It's his only chance to play with other kids"

"What do you mean?"

"His status as a jinchūriki is an open secret in my village. The a.d.u.l.ts can't tell anything to their children, but they can tell them to ignore and bully him. You know the way Gaara is looked upon by others right?"

Not a full hour later Kaname stood before a massive round building of stone measuring approximately 150 by 150 meters (~500x500 ft) in diameter. The exterior had four stories of archways propped up by columns and leading inside the building.

(AN: Thought of The Colosseum, but more rounded. And if you did not understand yet I do not acknowledge Boruto as a continuation of the original story, more like a spinoff :-P)

"Majestic as always, it always takes my breath away," Hokage said.

"When Suna raised such structures? I always thought of them living in houses made of mud and stone" Anko replied.

"They are one of the Great Hidden Villages, Anko-chan. It's a pity that the last war left them on the brink of collapsing" Kaname explained.

"True, their Kages were legendary, in terms of the power they easily stood with our Hokages."

"Were, Hokage-sama?" the Uchiha asked.

"*Cough* Don't repeat it. Rasa is powerful, but he lacks the mind and leadership needed for his standing. Ruthlessness is good at times of war but in peaceful times it creates more problems for the village, that's why the title of Kazekage is getting less splendor than it should"

"Wow, Jiji. You are confident in yourself aren't you?"

"Hehe, maybe a little, wisdom comes with age after all"

"As well as dementia Hokage-sama"

"Ouch, nice one Kana-chan. Are you up for my position?"

"Take the cap of yours and stick it where the sun never shines Hokage-sama. I will not drown myself in the sea of paperwork"

"That would be something… Kana in your position would burn half the Konoha down in a matter of days"

"I want the Hokage!" Naruto shouted from Kaname's arm.

"Hehe, maybe someday Naruto-kun. Ōnoki is older only by six years. Kana-chan I have a job for you" he patted Naruto's head and replied with a dangerous smile on his face.

"Yes?"

"I want our ninjas to make a good impression. When they finish their fight I would like for you to nab them away and recover their injuries"

"In front of everyone? Do you want me to cheat?" Kaname asked.

"Is that a problem?"

"Not really…"

"Okay, let's enter, stay in my shadow, I don't want people to notice you are gone" he ordered.

Entering the arena they were instantly guided to the Kage VIP terrace. After quick greetings between Kages Kaname stood next to Pakura.

"What's up Paku-chan? Everything is ready?"

"I hope so Kana-chan. Let's see how it goes"

Soon a man in jōnin uniform walked forward, half of his face was hidden by a cloth piece.

"Kazekage-sama, Hokage-sama, ladies and gentlemen, I would like to welcome you at the chūnin exams. My name is Baki I will be the proctor of today's matches" he loudly bellowed, the building let his voice reach the furthest seats.

"So he is Baki…" Kaname murmured sizing the jōnin with her eyes.

"You know Baki-san?"

"He fought my older brother for their chūnin exams, from what I know they fought to the draw"

"Wow, so you're His sister? A fan club was created dedicated solely to your brother a couple of years back. How is he?"

"Why are you interested in this Paku-chan?"

"*mumble-mumble*"

"Louder"

"I created the fan club"

"Eh? Ehm... wow? Well, I'm sorry he has got a girlfriend"

"Shit…" Pakura murmured under her nose.

"...Without further ado. The first two examinees: Darui from Kumogakure will fight with C also from Kumogakure" Baki's voice interrupted them.
