The Zombie Queen’s Second Chance [Rewrite Ongoing]

A few more days have passed since they've decided to go outside. During these couple of days a few things happened. The biggest surprise was, that when Chu Lixue finally managed to chase Mu Ruqin out of her house and get her to rent the apartment next doors, she finally noticed that perhaps Mu Ruqin's problems could be a little bigger than she thought before. After all, she even used a fake name to register herself in the base...

Their group also got bigger. From the original six people they grew to eight. When they were leaving the City Hall, they noticed Lin Qiao and Zhao Yun making their way inside together. Turned out these two somehow clicked together and have been a pair for some time now.

Somehow, after talking here and there, not only had Lin Qiao forced Zhao Yun to get an apartment in the same building as Chu Lixue, but even on the same floor! A few days later, the unwilling Zhao Yun already boarded the pirate ship under Lin Qiao's nagging.

They've also slowly prepared for going outside. Since their plan was to get a large amount of resources, both for themselves and for sale, they needed a way to move them. When they were thinking about how to resolve their problem, god knows from where Mu Ruqin bought 2 large trucks, similar to these used by military. When asked about it, she would only show them a smile and turn silent, so the group slowly decided to let the matter rest.

Most of them also resigned from their current work. After all it's not like they were working because they wanted to. Once they went outside and managed to get some money, they wouldn't need to continue losing time doing monotonous work...

Their cars slowly approached A City's Military District's entrance.

A group of soldiers pushed some metal parts, large plates to the wall then another soldier touched some metal which twisted and condensed in his hand. The soldier then placed his hand against the wall and the pieces merged into a crude metal wall.

So, it turned out the army had metal ability users, but they seemed weaker than Hu Wei. He could freely manipulate the metal, if he was there, he could have probably built the wall much quicker than the ability users from military.

That's right. Hu Wei was a metal ability user. Since they formed a group, everyone gradually opened up to each other and some things about them became known.

Lin Qiao was an earth ability user, while her lover, Zhao Yun, turned out to be a person with two abilities. Aside from earth element, he also had a space dimension ability. While he couldn't carry much in it, it would still slowly grow as he progressed further.

When it comes to the student group, aside from Hu Wei, there was also Ren Ming with her lightning power, which Chu Lixue couldn't help but think was similar to her temperament. Chubby Su Chang turned out to be similar to Chu Lixue, as he also had a plant type ability. However, at least for now, his ability only allowed him to make use of plants and move them according to his own will.

Chu Lixue wasn't jealous of him, oh she definitively was not jealous!

Anyway, Chu Lixue's power was very close to breaking through to Tier 2. Perhaps by then her plant ability would also evolve. Their group actually had a pretty good combination of elements. They had earth, fire, water, plant, lightning and space type of abilities. Even if they weren't the strongest of all ability users, they could at least safely move outside of the base.

The only downside to their current group was the lack of a team doctor. Even if they were strong, it was still possible to get injured during the fights. If someone's injuries were bad, probably nobody in the group could predict if his ending would be good or not.

Chu Lixue thought that perhaps when they come back, she might find a way to recruit a doctor or someone with healing abilities to their group. If not, then learning a little herself would be good too. After all, they couldn't just relay on their luck and hope nobody would get injured....

Mu Ruqin put binoculars to her eyes and shifted her gaze to the other direction, sure enough another group also had a metal ability soldier whose power was similar and needed to be in contact with the material to shape the metal. A slight sneer appeared on her face as she thought it was truly ridiculous how many ability users joined the military...

Soon, they managed to pass the gate and their cars made their way out of the city. Looking around they could see dozens of people living inside their cars or tents around the streets. If one were to closely count all of them, he would probably get a number of at least a few thousands of people. The sight of it was a little shocking.
