Chris, Max and Cassie went to meet with Cathy who was sitting in the bowling zone, watching them as some people played it.

"Sister! Look what I just got!" Cassie happily went to Cathy and showed her the new plushie that Cassie had just acquired.

"That's really cute. It suits you." Cathy smiled and stroked Cassie's hairs who giggled back in response.

"Chris, I want to go bowling." Cathy pointed at the bowling alley's lanes where some of the people were already playing.

"Sure, we can do it after we do bumper cars, we have a lot of time to spare, haha." Chris chuckled at her demand.

"Anyways, you remember we also made a bet to that orange guy, right?" Max reminded Chris.

"To Taylor, right? Of course I remember." a small creepy smile creeped up Chris's lips as he looked ahead to the bumper cars arena.

"Good. So how about we both team up our cars and beat him, then we both will duke it out amongst ourselves?" Max proposed his plan after thinking how to win in the bet. After all, the 500k dollars on the line was a lot of money.

"Sounds like a vile idea. I am in." Chris smirked as he imagined himself winning. Sportsmanship? Honor? They only sound good in theory.

With hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line, Chris was surely not planning to hold back on his cards for goody two shoes crap like honor and equality.

"You guys…" Cathy sighed in disbelief as she walked along with Chris to the bumper cars arena, but reaching there, Chris was shocked.

Normally about 6-8 cars drove in a single match, and the whole match lasted for 10 minutes. And after the 10 minutes, if still multiple players remained, the winner was decided according to the damage dealt on their own target.

So, the lesser the damage received, the higher the chances to win.

Chris already knew of these, so he wasn't surprised by that. However, what surprised him was the number of cars in the arena.

There were only four cars in the whole arena, their cardboard targets were vividly visible in different colors above the car, while the water gun at the passenger seat was raring to blow some steam- or rather, water in this case.

On the gate Taylor was standing tall with his strong palpable aura demonstrating his authority. His girlfriend, Alia was also standing next to him, her hands were intimately locked with Taylor's while he paid no mind to it.

But, Chris couldn't recognise the other two people who were also along with him, standing with him and chatting to him casually.

They also had a palpable aura around them, but it was much weaker than that of Taylor's or Chris's. So, they were most likely C-Grade Awakened.

"Did I keep you waiting?" Chris asked with a polite look on his face.

"Yes, for 74 seconds." Taylor casually checked his golden wrist watch and answered.

"Sorry." Chris didn't know whether to laugh or cry, he had just asked him that rhetorically, not expecting an actual answer. After all, he was just being polite.

"Haha, I was just kidding, hahaha." Taylor suddenly laughed seeing Chris's stiff reaction to his joke.

"Ah, I see." Chris's eyelids twitched at Taylor's awkward sense of humor.

"Anyways, I have booked the arena for a match. So, we are making it a team battle, right?" Taylor smiled at Chris as if he already knew what was in his mind.

"Team? Why team all of a sudden?" Chris played dumb.

"It would be better. You have 4 people, I have four people." Taylor shrugged and pointed at the two men who were standing alongside him.

"It does sound fair indeed, I guess." Chris sighed with a nod. It seems his plan to gain advantage over Taylor wouldn't come into fruition.

Well, that was to be expected though. Taylor was an heir to the Opera company, if he was tricked by such a lousy trick, it would have been a disgrace to his family's overbearing name.

"Well, press the red button on your cars to signify that you are ready." Taylor informed and walked off along with Alia to seat himself in a red coloured car.

His unknown teammates also followed along with him and say in the white coloured car and instantly pressed the red button.

// Team-2 has been marked ready. Team-1 kindly hurry up. //

A monotonous robotic voice blared into the arena as Chris took the black car along with Cathy while Max and Cassie took the blue car.

"Hm~ this car is interesting." Chris hummed in amusement as he ran his hand over the leathery steering wheel and set his legs on the pedals below.

Surprisingly, there was no clutch in the car, thus only two pedals were present, namely, accelerator and brake.

"Yes, I agree." Cathy didn't show much emotions on her charming cold face, but Chris knew that she was just faking it. There was no way she wasn't excited by the futuristic water gun that was connected to the bumper car.

After settling his hands properly on the steering and pedals, Chris also presses the red button, leaving only Max remaining, who also presses it just a few moments later.

// Both Teams are ready for the match. Match starts in 10 seconds…

Note: Use the water gun attached to the bumper car to shoot the targets over the cars.

This is a team battle, thus, the team with most players remaining till the end of the timer wins.

For the custom team battle, the timer is set to 15 minutes rather than normal 10 minutes.

Kindly fasten your seatbelts and avoid shooting directly at players, that may result in immediate expulsion and penalty fees.

Good luck to all the players, Fight! //

The monotonous voice kept speaking the rules of the game for ten seconds till the countdown ended, and as soon as the countdown ended, Chris immediately pressed his leg on the brake, which also served as reverse for the car.

For the starters, he wanted to gain some distance from his enemies rather than charging cluelessly.

And luckily, it seems the team two had same plans as him as they backed off to a safe distance as well.

Cathy just for fun, pressed her finger on the trigger of the water gun, causing a high speed laser of water to shoot towards Taylor's red target.

Alas, since the distance was too far away, the water just ended up hitting the windshield and causing some of water to splash on the Taylor's clothes.

'Shit… did we forget about the over clothes we were supposed to wear…' everyone who were currently playing say Taylor's expensive getting wet and thought collectively.

They all instantly glared at the worker who was incharge of the game, causing him to sweat uncontrollably.

"You. You were supposed to give us overclothes to wear over these so our clothes wouldn't get soiled." Taylor glared at the worker.

"S-Sir, you said to hurry up and just set the game… and the over clothes are kept behind the seats in the car…" he murmured back meekly.

"It is your work to remind us." Chris glared at the worker as well, "And why the fuck is timer still on when we obviously have taken a pause?"

"W-Well, s-sorry, sir!" the meek worker quickly pressed the pause button that caused the timer to pause, "I will keep the game paused until you all change…"

"I don't fucking care about you will keep it paused or not. What about my clothes now?" Taylor hissed coldly at the worker, "You are fired. Call your manager."

"S-Sir, I am really sorry… p-please forgive me…" the meek worker tried to beg for his job, after all, a job opportunity in a such big establishment like this doesn't come often.

"..." Taylor glared at him for a few seconds and then suddenly peeked at Cathy, thinking something in his mind.

No one really noticed a small peek like this, as Taylor had acted he was simply sighing to the workers' pleading.

But Chris noticed it clearly, he saw how that bastard had a small smile while looking at her.

Maybe it was all just a coincidence, but Chris would rather not believe in such crap when it came to his sister.

Taylor just casually turned back to the worker after faking a sigh and answered to his pleas…
