"Okay okay, sis con! I will check her first. Give some food to this one though." Claire facepalmed and opened her aid kit to take some of her medical tools which Chris didn't have much knowledge about.

"Thanks." Chris nodded in a bit of a worry as he looked at the ongoing checkup.

…

"She is alright. Though she has some injuries and marks… which doesn't look too pleasing. She needs some rest and she will be fit and fine… at least physically." Claire murmured with a look of worry, "You should have some psychological test for her since you know, these types of incidents can cause long lasting effects."

"I see…" Chris nodded, his hairs still covering his eyes which were raging in anger as he heard each and every word spoken by her.

Why… why did this happen to Cathy?! Was it his fault? Should he have stopped her in time before she went on a lunch?

His mind was in a turmoil as his self doubt and guilt ate him. Was he even qualified to protect his two dear sisters…?

Cassie went to the school where the bastard Caster was a teacher. Was she fine… she should be… right?

Chris instantly took out his phone and called Cassie. He didn't care if she was in class or she might get punished for this. All he wanted to hear was that she is fine.

// Beep! The person you are trying to reach is not answering, please try again later. //

He instantly called again.

// Beep! The person you are trying to reach is not answering, please try again later. //

Again.

// Beep! The- //

And again and again till…

"Cassie! Are you fine?!" the moment Chris heard Cassie pick up, he shouted in a worried and crazy voice.

"No! No brother, I am not!" Cassie shouted back.

"What?! What happened!? Tell me!"

"I was thrown out of the class since you wouldn't stop calling. And now I need to be on the cleaning duty for a week just because I had to pick up your phone!" she shot back, a little annoyed.

"So… you are fine, right?"

"Huh… yeah. I am completely fine. I am in school, did something happen, brother?" Cassie heard his voice crack as she sensed the tension in her brother's voice.

Ok"No… nothing happened… I will come to pick you up, okay?" Chris held back his tears and bursting emotions as he faked a smile, "Sorry for troubling you, haha."

"Brother… something surely happened. I am not that dumb. Are you fine? Is sister fine?"

"Yes. Everyone is fine, just focus on your studies okay? I will be there by the time of your departure." Chris smiled and quickly ended the call as he silently hugged his phone and kept it in his pocket.

"Chris… you okay?" Claire patted his back, for the first time the sadistic nurse was showing her worry.

"Mm." Chris gave her a curt nod, his mind already in a turmoil by the recent turns of events.

"I see…" Claire chose to stay silent as she began to check the living skeletal girl.

…

"Chris… it's a miracle in itself that this girl is even alive… she is starving, have pneumonia, her body is injured while she also have frostbites… she needs immediate treatment." Claire turned to Chris in shock after checking the girl he had brought along with him.

"Treat her, I will pay." Chris quickly said hearing Claire's words, who knows what else this poor girl had suffered in that hellhole.

"It's not about money, I can't treat her here. I will give her some nutrition shots and anesthesia." Claire smiled, "You should admit her to a hospital, well, her injuries however, are superficial so even if you like to keep her away from so many people of hospital… for obvious reasons, you can keep her at your house after I do some checkups and give her some meds."

"Why at my house? I don't even know her name."

"You brought her out and she seems to trust you a bit, your house will be the safest and comfortable for her." she shrugged.

"I just helped her out because she looked pitiful. We don't even know each other, I will admit her in a nice hospi-"

Chris's annoyed retorts were cut off by a soft feeble voice as she spoke in a low, nearly inaudible voice.

"Mia… name… Mia." the dying skeletal lady spoke with great difficulty, trying her best to pronounce her name.

Chris heard her soft voice as he got astonished, she… she didn't want to go into a hospital? She was introducing herself. Trying to show that yes, they knew each other and there is no need for her to go to a hospital.

"Christopher. My name is Christopher." Chris smiled at Mia and sighed, "Okay, treat her Claire, she will be staying with me till she is alright."

…

Chris drove his car in silence, car's speed going slower than a walking oldman on the road as he drove the car at snail's pace.

Claire and the rest of them had been left behind at the crime scene by Chris as he left along with Mia and Cathy.

There were many more hostages to save there, many illegal businesses to close in that district, and much more malice that hid in it. However, Chris didn't care about any of those. He only wanted to save his sister, and so he did.

Chris checked out the system panel again which showed he had completed the mission.

However he didn't feel as happy as he thought he would. He felt empty. Yes he did save her, but at what cost?

She was injured and most probably traumatized, he was too weak and had nearly got his sister killed in front of his eyes. Was this what was supposed to make him feel happy?

He still didn't even know how he was alive, all he remember that he had suddenly passed out, the beeps of system where echoing in his mind while he was drowning.

But what else happened, he had no idea.

But, before he can think more, the world suddenly quaked. Or that's how he felt like it.

But, the world wasn't quaking, it was his mind as it was again assaulted by foreign memories, getting filled to the brim with more power and knowledge.

*Skidd*

His car which was already driving at a slow speed suddenly drifted, throwing Mia's asleep body down the backseat.

Memories being transferred ]

The torture went on for a minute as Chris was finally left alone with his quickened ragged breaths, his eyes red in anger as he vividly felt all the evil deeds that Vincemt had did all his life.

Starting with the murdering of his own birth parents to forming his team in juvie.

He had done many evil deeds as he got stronger and stronger, out of the reach of the laws and jurisdiction.

Chris's eyes darted to uncomfortable Mia who was sleeping soundly on the floor of his car, his eyes softening at her face.

That girl… she was a poor girl like Cathy who had fallen in the trap of human trafficking.

But, that wasn't all as her earlier beautiful figure and visage caught eyes of the lusty devils as they tried out to force themselves on the poor girl.

But, she was able to save herself and resist them somehow, getting locked in the cellar as her punishment for denial. A cellar where she was left to die of starvation and thirst…

Chris gently picked Mia's body up, placing her back on the seat and tucking in the seatbelt so she doesn't fall again.

Finally he had decided to take care of this poor girl who was betrayed by her own loved ones, thrown into the deep pits of hell to die and suffer…

And finally, his slow car soon reached the house, stopping in front of the huge villa as Chris looked at the police officers that stood by villa's door.
