The Time When Me And My Family Went To Other World

While I was nearing the Outpost I saw it so tightly shut and silent it was extremely eerie comparing to the usual rowdy atmosphere of Jivs and Metania shouting at each other.

So I went towards the door and knocked on it for them to let me inside.

"It is me, Amatiron! Let me in to change equipment!" I shouted at the door.

Suddenly the door opens and I am pulled inside very quickly. What the hell?

"Get inside, slowpoke! We can't have the gate open for a lot of time, there are beast out there!" Granny Rir was complaining at me.

"Yes, madam. But I would wash your hands I have a bunch of poison spewed at me today, tough I burned it with the Eruption, I still am using it, actually." I said worried about her.

"This level of poison can barely resist my Mana, so go inside and change so you can go back to work, chop chop!" Ms Agnes said, so it was her who pulled me in, makes sense because of her great strength.

I started with the shield bringing it to the corner and laying it down, close to the forge, since I would use it to burn the poison completely, I also took of my sword and the metal half-plate, boots and gauntlets to do the same as a measure of precaution, so I burnt everything with some coal and hot sand and the flames from the forge, also I went on a bedroom on the side to take off this poison heavy, gambeson armor I had under the metal armor, I also took some of the spares made by my lovely wife and Mr. Guido, as soon as I walk of the room I am greeted by a sudden kiss.

Such blessing...

"Take care... I love you..." she said with the smallest voice I have ever heard, she looked so small right now, she must be heavily worried about me.

I wanted to reach out to her and then tell her that every single thing will be fine. But it wasn't the time to comfort her, it was time to protect her and our baby from dangers of this world.

So I turn around saying to her:

"I also love you, take care of both of you."

Grandpa cleaned the burnt dregs on my equipment and oiled it up again, while giving my boots,, gauntlets, half-plate and shield together with some spears to bring up the scaffolds again, restocking for anyone out of those.

Running towards the north, with a bunch of spears in tow, I get up to the scaffolds trying to see our situation, everyone was waiting for something, since they all were looking towards the forest, it was really weird.

"Hey, Jivs... Jivs!... What the heck is happening here, man?" I asked while whispering at him.

"We don't know, we just heard a loud noise and one big a.s.s tree in the forest seems to have been a uprooted from the ground, look up there at the line of the trees. We are still observing." he pointed at it and looked like those giant sequoias but it's trunk and leaves were way above the remaining trees and a large space under it like a meadow appearing because the tree was uprooted.

That is one humongous tree coming at us, it seems to be moving very slowly, almost like it wasn't, but the only reason I could discern the movements was the increasing noise of cracking trunks, it looks like there are more Vagrant Trees coming out into the village direction, running from that huge thing that is also coming here, this time there was only the small ones, without any Red Maned Vipers atop their canopies, for my luck, but there were hundreds coming, moving faster than their venomous mutated cousins which came earlier, without any eye either.

"This time we are coming down and holding them back! Amatiron you will be our lumberjack before that huge Mana sponge mutated thing come our way! All hands, go!" Elder Brontus bellowed from the Outpost, maintaining the security towards the no fighting force of the village, while we jumped down towards the border of the illusion barrier and started our strike operation, or should I say our "chop" operation.

Anyone engaged with the trees before I came in and cut it from their back while using the Ki Gathering strike from the hammer version, I did it first with Captain Vermont, which was the closest to me, next I struck the one pestering Jivs with its roots, one slash kill, I felt like I wouldn't lose the tempo and kept increasing the speed, roughly after the fiftieth strike I mysteriously felt like I could breath in with one lung while exhaling with other, which made me able to pump oxygen to my muscles all the time, making the Ki flowing in countinously as well, so I was striking seamlessly at every tree while using the reinforcing Eruption technique on my body and equipment, since I didn't have to worry about not having Ki anymore.

"Gahahahahhahaha, see that Vermont! My Ta has already reached mastery with the sword version of our family heirloom, gahahahaha! He is a damn good apprentice" Ti'oh was really happy and kept bothering Captain Vermont while keeping three trees at the same time on his hold.

"It is just beginners luck, you old tart! Mine will definitely catch up with him, even more quickly, just wait!" he shouted back at Ti'oh while holding two with his spear after tripping one on the ground, well since they could shout like that at each other they probably don't have that much pressure on them, so I am going to help Metania first which was sweating against two other trees.

I kept trying to go faster and faster with the continuous alternating breathing and the Ki went simultaneously inside my body towards my Nucleus through my lungs while the blood carried my own Ki transported by the bloodstream and Erupted with the complete Presas de Lycanrir Espada de Lamúria, I felt the world slow down a little bit and my legs flashed with strength propelling me quickly towards Metania side while cutting easily through both Vagrant Trees with the complete Ki Tempering Method, my body still wanted more and I went towards the ones binded by Captain and slashed through all three of them with three consecutives slashes on the diagonal to make sure the trunk would fall on its own and went after the ones that were held by Ti'oh, too.

I went and did a full spinning slash, since I positioned myself between all of them for they were too slow, but my body still wanted to reach bigger heights, I felt amazing and I would keep doing this, so I went after the other trees inside the barrier which didn't made it to our barricade, slashing their trunks easily, after slicing the last one I felt exhilaration like never before!

I just basked on that feeling for some time... Gah, there was someone choke holding me now! I tapped the arm which was fluffy for some reason.

I kept tapping for about thirty seconds, feeling more and more weak, before I passed out I was let go. Gulping air as if there was no tomorrow with tears streaming down on my face, Ti'oh was there looking at me, smiling.

"Sorry, Ta, it was a precaution measure for you to not go after the barrier, since we wouldn't want to lose you to a horde of vicious beasts" he said while smiling "I am proud of your achievement"

Behind him I saw over thirty Vagrant Trees that had stopped moving and suddenly their trunks seemed to have split in half, breaking apart.

I was surprised, I didn't think I cut them so cleanly, with a heavy and even thick sword.

"You have stepped on the bounds of what a Warrior truly is." He said tapping my shoulder and going back to the village, I also followed him back, to safety, it would be dangerous over here.

We may not have defeated the huge thing, but at least it looks like we are free from Vagrant Trees for now, so I go back towards the Outpost to eat something, since I was overburdened, being responsible for killing all the monsters took a toll on my body, I went from feeling amazed to feeling sore and destroyed, while weirdly being very hungry, too.

I must not overuse the full Ki Tempering Method, while in a prolonged battle or successive ones at least, since it will make me really tired and needing some rest just after using it.

The loud noises stopped as the sun went down completely, it must have gone dormant without the sun, or it should be asleep, I don't know, but watch duty is going to be tense tonight, since no one can scout out the nature of these quakes, it is best to do what we can.

We finally made it to the Outpost, Metania and Jivs were keeping watch while bringing inside the logs from those Mana rich trees and from the snakes too, all the materials would go inside Jivs barn for now, we also need to give some Mana rich meat to the puppies, to save on our Mana supplied by the contract.

They were big, but to bring them for an out war was simply demanding for they to die, that is why they were lazing around in the Outpost.

Me, Ti'oh, Captain and Elder Brontus sat at the table, extremely tired from dealing with so much poison, enough to fill the whole north walls and scaffolds, it was creepy and disgusting at the same time.

Nordya and Granny Rir were quickly making some grub for us to rest, since there were a great amount of danger today, also filled with many mutated trees to deal with.

I just wanted to eat and sleep, I didn't notice what everyone were discussing, I only remember Elder Brontus hugging Elder Kavko passionately, while Ti'oh was getting on the table with Captain Vermont shouting at him on the other side, while Granny and Grandpa grabbed his tail so he wouldn't go over there, they probably were drunk bickering or just actually bickering while sober and honey was with me, making sure I didn't pass out with a spoon in my mouth. After that I think I was dragged to my bed by my wife, she sure has gotten stronger.

I rested a good deal and in the middle of the night I was awoken by Ti'oh with a concerned face, he thinks I must have slept a lot, so I just tell him I was fine and went towards my post without any armor, since I was still feeling like I was carrying the world on my shoulders, so heavy, so I went with him, to watch duty atop the Outpost maintaining a semblance of overworked and tired through this watch.

Again, thankfully, nothing has happened at the night which is a heavenly sent, since all I wanted was to keep resting.

After returning, to my bed all I did was sleep till the morning and what morning it would be.
