The Ruthless Dragon God

There was a small fishing village of Kronor in New Zealand. Kronor was located on the south-eastern coast in the state of Otago on South Island of New Zealand.

The major source of income of this village was fishing and the salt pans located on the sea coasts. But this village was still better than the nearby villages located, the major reason for this was the well established school built in this village.

Though nothing about this school was better than the educational campuses built in cities and towns but for the villagers it was a big deal.

The revenue paid by the school, fishing business and salt pans was well enough to have built a good enough road for transport carts.

Confused? Well you have to be.. Hologram watches on one hand but carts instead of trucks on other.

Well this was the situation of the whole Earth where in both modern and traditional old equipment were being used.

After the explosion of Pandora's flower the pollen spread in the air mutating or powering all living and non living things. The trees grew more taller, bulkier and stronger than the original selves.

Animals, birds, fishes, etc all were affected by the pollen which had caused mutations which caused them to gain abilities (will be explained later).

Not only living beings but non living things such as metals and stones and rocks which were still present in ore form had gone modifications. Their nuclear structures had changed all together. Some metals though had retained their older properties but their strength had changed.

Similarly compounds created from them were different than their original counterparts like wisely.

But what changed the most were the human beings.

Though they didn't changed in size or grew furs or something they had gained an amazing ability of summoning out beasts from their bodies. These summoned beasts were called Spiritual-Beasts.

These spiritual beasts were integrated with a human's body dormant from birth. Sending them enough energy or as we call it 'Mana' one could wake these beasts up. These beasts when woken up would give their owners with ability, power, strength, etc.

Also if enough Mana was given to these beasts one could summon them out to help you do work, tasks or even fight. Even though these spiritual beasts were a part of you, they had a mind of their own. They felt hunger, thirst, emotions just like normal animals.

Pandora's explosion took place in Indian Ocean, its effects caused the whole of Asia to be wiped out. But Africa and Europe also had to be evacuated due to being immediate neighbors and even those land masses were filled with mutant animals and overriding and taking control of these continents.

But the ones that most benefited from this incident were the continents of North and South America. These continents faced Pandora's pollen after a long time and had seen the effects of calamity.

So the armies of these countries were not only ready to take measures but the pollen count in air also had diluted leading to less mutations. Though they faced destruction but was taken care by the authorities.

So the amount of resources in the world changed according to the pollen count their land region faced. The highest being Zone 10 and lowest being Zone 1.

Due to the wind current Australia and New Zealand were the last to face the challenges of Pandora's pollen. But the count was so low that amount of mutations occurring was similarly low.

Though they were happy at that time due to not facing the beast hordes, but later when the new elements and spirit beasts were found their countries didn't have the same.

Due to the absence of such resources due to less pollen count, not only the economy collapsed but migration of majority population took place leaving these with major deficit.

And after more than 1200 years the traditional way of living had taken hold in New Zealand. The holowatch rule was imposed together by all the governments of the world. Every person born on Earth was issued a holowatch at their birth which would remain with them throughout their life.
