The Ruthless Dragon God

At night Rex was lying on the church bench in daze as he tried to make head or tail of the situation. His present situation was similar to an abandoned dog.

His room was snatched, his food was taken away and due to the fear of Bracken nobody was willing to help him. Nobody allowed him to enter their room or give him any blanket or anything.

So Rex was out here in church sleeping in open on an empty stomach which he somehow tried to fill with tap water. The cold wind was hitting him as he huddled his body to reduce the shivering.

The hungry stomach and the cold wind kept him awake as he lay thinking how to change his situation. Father Wilfred as usual din't care and went on with his work.

With this Rex knew it was going to be hard to live out here. ' Just because I couldn't awaken today I am facing this, otherwise not a single one would have dared to cross my way.

You all wait I will awaken and teach you a lesson you all won't forget in your whole life.' he thought as suddenly a growl came from his stomach. Hunger was uncontrollable as his stomach produced growl upon grow.

That's when the door creaked as a small girl entered the church. Rex sat up on the bench to see who had entered as he saw a small fairy entering the church.

'Am I dead? I died from a day's hunger WTF!!' he saw the fairy clad in white descend into the church from the door making his mouth stood aghast and open as he looked at her and said, "Fairy".

The girl suddenly slapped his face as he woke up from amazement, " I didn't knew that hunger can affect a person's sanity so quickly."

With that light slap Rex woke up to find that girl standing in front of him talking, "Umm, who are you? Why are you here?"

Hearing this question she looked at him in annoyance with a glare in her eyes, " Seriously... don't you know I am? Wow.. just wow Rex!!

Here I am bringing you food hiding from the sights of people, but his holy highness Rex doesn't even know who actually I am.. wow just wow!!"

Rex stood there embarrassed as he didn't even know the person who stayed along with him in the orphanage, "I.... I..."

" Yea.... yea don't even try." without bothering further she gave him a small loaf of bread and a light blanket.

"Have this stuff and remember tomorrow morning before everyone wake up place the blanket below the counter in dining room. If caught you don't know me otherwise I will make you regret it."

"Thank you , I..." before Rex could continue she started walking towards the door.

"Also don't this to be a daily service, it was only for today. From tomorrow on you and your requirements can have a ball dance. And remember the name is Angel, Angel Reid and now you owe me one" saying so she shut the door behind her as she left.

Angel was the daughter of the cook of the church. After her mother's death the cook who was in deep depression on losing his wife, he was brought back to health by the church in the city.

From then he left all worldly matters aside and decide to follow the teachings of the church wholeheartedly. He then as per orders from the church was sent to manage the church and orphanage of Kronor along with Father Wilfred.

Angel also came along with her father and soon got mixed with the kids staying over here. Even though she was daughter of the cook she didn't have any special privileges.

But being the daughter of the cook she could enter kitchen under the pretext of meeting her father and could get some foodstuff lying over there.

This made her a lot special in the eyes of others children, and no one ever offended her and always tried to be her friends.

Rex on other hand due to being a loner never tried to maintain friendly relations with people. And previous to these he never had any requirements so there was no common mode of intersection with her.

On getting bread, he rushed to the tap as he wolfed down the bread with water so that it won't be that dry. His stomach showed faint of relaxation as the bread gave a bit relaxation to the hunger.

Returning he dr.a.p.ed the light blanket around him as he sat on the bench thinking about his next step.

'The money procurement plan will have to be delayed as at first I should get my 3 basic needs stable'
