The Rebirth Of Feng Xi

Feng Xi's whole face blushed at her father's question as she quickly shook her head and said: "No we haven't not until we get married! But we are sharing a bed at night..." 

Feng Shun looked deeply at his blushing daughter then at Prince Jin who's gaze was on Feng Xi looking at her warmly and nodded his head. "I see. If! And I mean if by chance you two cross the line..." Feng Shun's gaze turned sharp as he glared at Prince Jin "You better take responsibility!"

"Father in law does not need to worry. I will never leave Xi'er even if the heavens themselves tried to intervene." Prince Jin made a promise. He had already decided that Feng Xi was the only woman for him and he would never betray her. 

Feng Shun studied Prince Jin's gaze and saw his unwavering determination and finally formed a smile on his face. "Then I leave my daughter in your hands. If you make her cry, you better run and hide because I will not let you off easy."

"This son in law understands." Prince Jin said as he bowed his head.

 Feng Shun nodded in approval, he was happy with Prince Jin's promise. Since that was settled Feng Shun turned his attention back to Feng Xi. "So you really want to go with this plan?"

"Yes, if it works out we can pull a lot of people out from behind the scenes. But that is only if I put myself in danger. Do not worry about the details now father we will go over them with the emperor tomorrow. We will need him for this as well." Feng Xi adjusted the blanket on Feng Shun's bed and stood up.

"Alright, we will discuss it tomorrow then." Feng Shun really enjoyed seeing his daughter like this. It was much better than how she was before.

Feng Xi looked at Fang Ai who was standing nervously at the side and smiled. 'I guess I will give her a little push and help her out a little bit.' "Father, this here is Fang Ai. She will be here to take care of all your needs. From feeding you by hand to sponge baths. If you need anything at all just ask her." She then leaned over to her father so no one else could hear and whispered: "I also wouldn't mind if the two of you locked the door for a while to get to know each other better." 

"You! Brat! You dare tease your father!?" Feng Shun's face showed a tinge red as he slightly glanced at Fang Ai who was blushing away. He had noticed this young woman's gaze since he woke up and how meticulous she was being when caring for him. His first thought seeing her was "It wouldn't be so bad to have a woman like this." He was up in age and Feng Xi was to move out soon so he knew the house would be very lonely soon. 

Feng Xi saw her father's gaze move to Fang Ai and smiled. She turned to Fang Ai and said: "Please take good care of my father. If anything happens come and get me right away, I will not leave the palace at all until I know for a fact that he won't have any further issues. I will be back around three for his last CT scan. So until then, it will be just the two of you"

"Yes, Princess, Leave it to me. I will make sure he gets the best of care." Fang Ai said with a flushed face.

Feng Xi nodded her head and walked out of the room only to stop and stick her head back in to say: "Father remember what I said. And remember I will be back by three this afternoon so make sure… Ahh! Haha!" Feng Xi stopped her words as she let out a scream and laughed as she quickly dodged the pillow. She grinned mischievously and then ran off. 

"That damn brat!" Feng Shun said in a huff. He had never been teased so much in his entire life! He was a general who had killed many and yet here was his own daughter, his own flesh and blood, was teasing him! Only after calming down did he sneak a peek at Fang Ai who had her hand over her mouth trying to cover her smile. Seeing Fang Ai like this caused Feng Shun's heart to stir. 

Prince Jin silently left the room after giving a bow. When he closed the door behind him, a figure jumped up and wrapped her arms around his neck. Kissing his lips. "What do you think. Do you think my father and Fang Ai will hit it off?" Fenxi asked with wide excited eyes.

"It seems to me that Fang Ai does indeed like your father and it also seems your father might be attracted to her. He is getting on in years so he would not waste time. If he likes her I am sure he will make a move soon. Especially since you have already given your consent." Prince Jin gave his opinion.

"Let's hope so. It won't be long before we get married and the General's Manor gets rebuilt. I don't want him to be alone and It seems Fang Ai is a good catch. So I hope he does make a move soon."Feng Xi said as she dangled from Prince Jin's body. Her feet barely touching the ground. 

"I don't think you will need to worry. I am sure they will work out just fine." Prince Jin said reassuringly. "What do we do now?" 

"I just need you to get your father here tomorrow. Once you do we can finalize all the plans. Until then we can spend the rest of the day together. Like we used to do in the courtyard at the academy. I am sure Ru'er and Xin'er must be wondering what's going on. Let's get them first before going to have tea in the garden. Oh and the Qiu Sisters as well!"
