The Rebirth Of Feng Xi

That night was a bit awkward for Feng Xi as she climbed into bed. Especially after letting Prince Jin hear her do 'that'. But at the same time, during 'that', she felt even more excited and was more vocal than usual. She climbed into bed only wearing her u.n.d.e.r.w.e.a.r and covered her head with the blanket not letting Prince Jin see her face. But she still scooted over to Prince Jin and snuggled up next to him. Prince Jin did not say a word, he only put his arm around Feng Xi and closed his eyes. This was one of the things Feng Xi loved at Prince Jin the most. He knew when to tease and when to let things be, he was always considerate of her feelings which made her smile. 

Early the next morning Feng Xi and Prince Jin were woken up by a knock at the door. Feng Xi rubbed her sleepy eyes and not even thinking climbed right over Prince Jin to go answer the door only to be pulled back into bed giving her a start. "Jin'er?"

"Put something on before answering the door!" Prince Jin said as he poked Feng Xi's stomach. 

Feng Xi looked down and blushed from ear to ear before hurriedly climbing out of bed and running into the bathroom to get a bathrobe. Only after putting one on, did she go and answer the door. When she opened the door to her surprise, it was Fang Ai. "Miss Fang?"

"Princess! Your father has woken up!" Fang Ai said excitedly. She was in the middle of changing Feng Shun's bedpan when she heard Feng Shun call out Feng Xi's name causing her to almost drop the bedpan onto the floor. After which she quickly put it down and ran to inform Feng xi.

"Okay, I will be right there. Let me get changed first. For now, just make sure all his vitals are stable." Feng Xi said with a bright smile. She was not able to hold in her excitement. Her father was finally awake! She had thought it would take another day before he woke but he woke up a day early! This was good news!

Feng Xi ran inside the room and stripped down to nothing before grabbing clothes and running into the bathroom to get change. Leaving a stupefied Prince Jin and her standing at attention Little Jin in her wake. Ten minutes later after cleaning up a bit Feng Xi came out of the room and only paused to give Prince Jin a peck on the cheek saying: "My father is awake so hurry up and come!" 

Inside the room, Feng Xi walked in to see Fang Ai carefully feeding Feng Shun some water. The look in her eye could not mask the love and affection she felt for Feng Shun. Feng Xi smiled warmly seeing this scene in front of her. She could tell now that she knew what love was that Fang Ai was in love with her father. She waited for her father to finish drinking before finally interrupting the two. "Father, you're awake."

"That I am and from what I hear it is all because of you that I am alive today. I thank you but Xi'er, where did you learn how to do operations not only on the body but on the brain as well?" Feng Shun so far was the only one to ask this question.

 No one else had questioned her abilities. But Feng Xi had expected this much and knew he would ask this question at some point. But she did not expect him to question her as soon as he woke up. Figuring it was not the best time to be discussing such things Feng Xi calmly said: "We will talk about that later for now let me check your pulse." 

Feng Shun only nodded, he also felt this was not the time to discuss such things. All he knew was it was thanks to his daughter that he was alive right now. He obediently held out his arm and allowed Feng Xi to take his pulse. After getting a good reading Feng Xi let out a sigh of relief. "You shouldn't have any more issues. But to be on the safe side I will run another CT scan on you this afternoon. I would rather be safe than sorry. The blood clot I removed before, was what put you in a coma. I want to make sure that there are no further dangers now that you are awake." 

"Then we will do as you say. Xi'er you have made your father proud. Not only did you save my life but you protected the Feng family. Although they destroyed our house that does not mean we can not rebuild it. As for the command token, I will speak to the emperor about it." Feng Shun said in a tired voice. He still did not have much energy in his body yet after waking up. 

"Do not worry Father, I will have Jin'er call the Emperor here tomorrow. I am sure the emperor wants to speak to you as well. But be careful… Imperial Consort Yun is the one behind all of this. She was already here yesterday trying to get me to return you to the Imperial Hospital. She doesn't know that you were already saved. So, for now, it would be best if you did not show yourself in public. I will have the Emperor keep it a secret as well. Actually… I have a plan..." Feng Xi's eyes lit up and a sly smile formed on her face. 

Feng Xi leaned over and whispered into Feng Shun's ear. Feng Shun's eyes went wide in surprise after hearing what she had to say. But he truly felt this was a good plan. But he still had some concerns. "Xi'er if we do this your life will be in serious danger." 

"Father in law does not need to worry. No one is allowed to touch my Xi'er." Prince Jin's voice sounded out as he walked into the room. 

Feng Shun looked over to see Prince In walking in, his gaze was as sharp as ever. Feng Shun smirked when he heard Prince Jin call him father in law. "You brat! You are not married to my daughter yet but you are already calling me father in law?"

"Father just get used to it because I plan to marry Jin'er when I turn eighteen. Everyone in this palace already calls me Princess." Feng Xi answered for Prince Jin.

Feng Shun looked at his daughter who was smiling sweetly, his eyes narrowed as he asked bluntly: "You and him already screwing each other?"
