Lu Yan couldn't take his eyes off Shi Han for a moment. He watched as she gradually relaxed, bringing her legs together and placing her half-clenched fingers obediently on her legs.

She was clearly struggling.

The impact of today's performance was enough.

"Thank you," Lu Yan pushed back the bank card, "I can't accept this kind of arrangement!"

Shi Han looked at those slender fingers, blinked her eyelashes, and said, "I didn't mean anything else. I just want to give it to you for emergencies."

Lu Yan pushed the door and left. After a while, Shi Han also left the meeting room, but she didn't see Lu Yan again. She glanced around the hall and left.

From the top floor of the hall, Lu Yan watched Shi Han get into a taxi.

Deep down, Zhang Yu hoped that Lu Yan would find happiness. After all, he had seen firsthand the hardships and struggles his boss had endured. If someone like Shi Han could bring some light into Lu Yan's life, it would be a welcome change.

Zhang Yu didn't understand why Lu Yan had to disguise himself as a poor boy when he could attract a woman like Shi Han.

"Yes." Zhang Yu hesitated for a while but couldn't bear it any longer. He asked, "Mr. Lu, why didn't you just agree to her?"

Lu Yan looked out the window and replied, "She forgot about me, and she's also very clever."

Though she played the role of a wretched and greasy rich woman who lusted after fresh meat, her salary was extremely high.

If Lu Yan could help her secure the piece of land on the outskirts of the city, her company would surely be revived.

She anxiously touched the gold ring on her hand and said, "Are my acting skills okay?"

Zhang Yu looked at the gold all over her body, and the corners of his mouth twitched. "What Boss Lu promised you will definitely be done."

"That's good, that's good," the rich woman glanced into the office again.

Zhang Yu frowned, "Mr. Zhao, I advise you not to have thoughts that you shouldn't have."

Zhang Yu's eyes widened as he listened to the conversation. He quickly snatched the phone from one of the employees and turned off the volume.
