Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

The Aqua Wolves dropped like flies, never to rise again.

“It’s pretty decent.”

When they were so bunched up, it was more efficient to use the skill than to kill them one by one.

He walked up to the corpses and began to gather the loot.

-You have obtained the Pelt of an Aqua Wolf.

-You have obtained the Fangs of an Aqua Wolf.

.

.

.

-You have obtained the Liver of an Aqua Wolf.

“Hmm…”

Myeonghu was surprised by the number of drops. The Fangs and Livers which he expected to be quite scarce actually appeared in decent numbers.

“Isn’t this easier than I thought?”

He had killed 17 wolves, but gained 15 Fangs and 10 Livers.

“Only 5 more Fangs, as for the Livers…”

He needed 20 Aqua Wolf Fangs for his quest, but had already obtained 15 of them. He had also obtained more than enough Livers, having two times more than necessary.

Myeonghu went back to exploring the Forest, but was unable to find any more traces of them.

“Do they always gather in packs?”

His instinct was telling him that it was the case.

Grrrr

Aoooo

Myeonghu suddenly heard some new sounds. They were a bit different than the simple howling of the Aqua Wolves he had heard previously, and sounded more like they were involved in some battle.

Myeonghu picked up his speed as he dashed towards the source of the sound.

“OMG”

He arrived a couple minutes later and was stunned by the sight before him.

“An Ogre!”

A single Ogre was facing off against dozens of Aqua Wolves.

Quaaaaaa

It wasn’t even a battle, but rather a one sided massacre by the Ogre. Despite being severely outnumbered by the Aqua Wolves, It stood strong, wielding an uprooted tree as a club and killing the wolves with a single blow.

“…”

At first Myeonghu was unsure as to how to proceed, but soon shrugged it off as he realised he had nothing to worry about.

“Quake Strike”

Myeonghu muttered under his breath as he formed a fist. The white light began to gather in it and he rushed towards the scene of the massacre.

Bang!

After getting close enough, he punch the ground with full strength as the earth absorbed the white light.

UwoOoong!

Less than a second later, that majestic sound rang out.

Quaaaa?

Grrr?

Aoo?

The remaining 9 Aqua Wolves along with the Ogre which was still holding onto the tree, were sent flying into the air.

Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

They all fell down to the ground soon after as corpses.

Myeonghu then went up to collect his spoils.

-You have obtained the Pelt of an Aqua Wolf.

-You have obtained the Fangs of an Aqua Wolf.

.

.

.

-You have obtained the Fangs of an Aqua Wolf.

“Great!”

Myeonghu exclaimed after confirming the loot. He had now managed to collect all the required Quest Materials.

“Finished the Quest!”

He then turned to look at the Ogre’s body and approached it.

“What might it drop?”

He had arrived to collect the items expecting something great

– You have obtained the Ogre’s Tendon

“Huh?”

There was nothing else besides that and he was disappointed by its lackluster drops.

“Surely there must be more, right?”

He still couldn’t believe his bad luck and tried to search more thoroughly around the corpse. However fate was unkind and there wasn’t anything else to be found. He sighed as he looked at the drop.

“Just a single Tendon….”

Of course an Ogre’s Tendon might still be quite valuable, so he didn’t dwell on it too long.

“Let’s head back!”

Myeonghu made his way back to the village and didn’t meet a single Aqua Wolf on route.

“I think I should be able to cross the Boros Mountains.”

His recent hunt had given him confidence in his ability to cross the mountain range, as long as he exercised some caution.

“This river is just….”

He followed the river on his way back to make sure he didn’t get lost, and was once again appreciating its beauty.

“What? Its You!”

The sudden voice snapped Myeonghu out of his trance.

“Hey!”

Walcha and Luna were making their way up the river, no doubt heading towards the Aqua Wolves.

“Did you just come the Aqua Wolves’ Forest?”

“Yeah”

Myeonghu nodded back.

“Oh, then you must have seen them!”

“…?”

“Haha, the pack of Aqua Wolves.”

Walcha talked continuously, and Myeonghu could only nod back in response.

“Yes I found them. At first they were nowhere to be seen, but it seems that they just gather in large packs.”

“Yes, we also never found them wandering by themselves. That’s why we both died last time.

Agh!

Luna prodded Walcha hard in the ribs, before asking Myeonghu.

“I guess you also weren’t able to hunt them, want to join us?”

“Ah, about that….”

Hearing Luna underestimate him made him feel a bit awkward. Luna saw his expression and cried out in surprise.

“What! Where you able to hunt them?”

“Yeah”

Walcha immediately followed up with a look of incredulity.

“Were you really able to go up against a pack of Aqua Wolves by yourself?”

“Yeah”

“…”

“…”

Luna and Walcha just stood, gaping as they came to terms with my recent revelation.

“Can you easily hunt Aqua Wolves?

“Yeah pretty much.”

He was able to kill over a dozen Aqua Wolves with a single skill, so he could only reply with a yes.

Tak!

Walcha reached out and decisively grabbed Myeonhu’s hands.

“…?”

“Can you please help us out?”

Myeonghu saw Luna staring at him expectantly and then turned his gaze back to the pleading Walcha. The two of them hadn’t hesitated to share such a good quest with him last time without having asked for anything in return. Myeonghu replied with a smile.

“How many more did you need?”

“Just seven more!”

Myeonghu then opened up his inventory to see how many he had in his possession. There were 17 of them, so he took out 7 and handed them to Walcha.

“Here, use these.”

“Oh, will you have enough?”

“Yes, it’s fine.”

Walcha briefly hesitated before receiving them in the end.

“Thank you!”

Thanks!”

The pair of them earnestly thanked Myeonghu.

“Is that it?”

Luna asked Walcha, to which he nodded and then turned back to Myeonghu

“Thanks to you we’ve completed the quest! How about you, have you collected everything?”

“Yeah”

“Then let’s head back together!”

On their way back to the village they talked about many things.

“Ah, congratulation on finishing your military service. what are you planning to do later on?”

“ Oh, I’ll be going back to school and maybe working out a bit to stay in shape.”

“Ah, school… it brings back some old memories. By the way, if you want to work out, why don’t you join my dojo? I’ll make you strong!”

“No, don’t go there! Come to mine, I’ll make you stronger!”

“Why would you say that!”

Myeonghu smiled as he heard them argue. He had learned that they were both martial artists, and not just somer average ones, but those at the very pinnacle.

“Oh, we’re already here!”

Walcha exclaimed as the village came into view.
