The Master of Strength

Myeonghu expected she would be surprised if he were to be the first to strike, but it turned out that he was the one that was shocked instead.

‘Can I not attack her?’

Myeonghun felt awkward, was he unable to attack her because he as currently in the shape of a fox? He tried swinging his paws once more.

‘This…’ The same message was repeated and he was now certain that as a fox he wouldn’t be able to damage the Nine Tails. Myeonghu then went ahead and confirm how much time was left, and saw it was just 15 seconds.

‘Shit’

There wasn’t much time and he was going to transform while be cradled.

‘Oh? It might work out no?’

Now that he thought about it, the situation might work in his favor. If he were to suddenly transform into his human self while still in her arms, she would surely panic or at the very least be confused.

‘… this could work.’

He decided that the moment the transformation took place, he would attack the Nine Tails.

Meanwhile she looked him in the eyes and locked gazes.

“What’s wrong, are you unable to breath well?”

She thought that the reason he had pawed at her was that he was suffocating.

The Nine Tails held him up over her, playing with the little fox as she swung him air in the air. On Myeonghu’s end it was great since from this angle he had a perfect view of her cleavage, it was just too bad that the there wasn’t much time left.

‘Wait, what would happen if I transform form this position?’

He just realised that he was currently held in midair. He tried to find a solution, but time was up and he transformed.

Fuuut!

Myeonghu resumed his human appearance.

“Gah!”

The Nine Tails was clearly surprised by the sudden change and let go, causing Myeonghu to fall down on her.

Puk, soft

‘Huh…?’

As they both fell down to the ground, he landed on top of her. He felt a unusually soft sensation coming from his hands so he looked down to have a look. He swallowed down hard upon seeing both his hands firmly grasping her chest.

“…!”

Myeonghu looked up to the Nine Tails face and couldn’t help but feel ashamed as she began to scream.

“Well, this is….”

It was a monster, and enemy he had to kill, but unknowingly he was already making up excuses in his mind so as not to harm her.

“You pervert!”

The Nine Tails covered her chest with one arm and slapped him across the face with the other.

Smack!

“Waaa!”

Myeonghu was sent sideways, literally flying through the air.

Wack!

His momentum was only cut short when he encountered a tree.

As Myeonghu struggled to stand, the first thing he did was look at the Nine Tails.

“You…”

Seeing the her there covering her breasts with her hands only reminded him of the soft and bouncy sensation.

‘She was a lot more forward back then!’

He thought back to the first time they had met by the waterfall. He soon got rid of such useless thoughts and took a look at his HP to see how much damage the slap had caused.

‘…. OMG’

He was shocked to see how much life he had lost.

‘5,000, and from a physical attack?”

That slap had clearly been a physical attack, but he had still lost 5,000 health. This was after the incredible defense which his new armor provided, one that all but nullified the attack power of the Monstrous Foxes.

‘If it had hit me without the armor….’

If he had lost 5,000 despite enjoying all these added defenses, he couldn’t possibly imagine how he’d fare without it.

He immediately dodged upon hearing that sound.

‘It’s that one.’

Myeonghu saw the white plasma ball pass right beside him, and knew that it would also return along the same path.

Shortly after it indeed returned to the Nine Tails, but Myeonghu had been too focused the white ball and missed her next spell.

Fuuwoong!

A pink heart came flying right at him and he had no way to dodge

Pak!

[For the next 20 seconds you can no longer control your character.]

[For the next 30 seconds, -30% to all Resistances.]

‘Shit!’

What he was most worried about actually ended up happening.

Myeonghu tried to stop himself from getting closer, but he couldn’t control his body and simply looked up at the Nine Tails.

Suk! Suk! Suk! Suk!

White flames appeared on each of her nine tails.

Fuuuu!

They each rushed towards him in succession, cutting through the air with great speed.

Pung Pung Pung Pung

‘Ha…these continuous attacks….’

Myeonghu could only sigh upon seeing his remaining health. When he had been struck by just one of her white flamed tails, it had hit him for 22,000. However now all 9  of them struck out one after the other resulting in a total damage of 220,000.

Fuuwoong!

‘I’m done for….’

He saw another White plasma ball flying towards him. Form his experience he knew that it would usually do around 40,000 damage, whereas his current Health was just over that. If it were to only hit him once he’d be fine, but that skill would surely return for a second pass, and with his current immobility he had no way of dodging.

Suwook!

The plasma ball finally zoomed through him and he looked at the pitiful 5,000 or so health which remained. That was all he had out of his original 300,000 as he heard the ball coming back for another pass.

Suwook!

His death message appeared and his vision began to fade.

As soon as the death penalty timer was up, Myeonghu logged back into the game and spawned in Himise’s plaza.

“Fuuu….”

Myeonghu let out a sigh as he pulled up is character page.

By increasing his Wisdom he would boost his resistance to Illusion and Enchantment spells. Not to mention that it would also raise his Magic Defense as well as increase his Mana pool, so boosting his Wisdom was fast becoming a priority.

“What to do…”

Despite the fact that investing in Wisdom was the obvious choice, Myeonghu truly wanted to continue down his path of focusing solely on Strength. Unfortunately he had encountered an obstacle which wouldn’t allow for it.

“I guess I can’t help it….”

His thinking was beginning to adjust. After all it had been a great shock that he had died twice now without once being able to act, despite having a tremendous 300,000 healthpool.

“I’ll first hand in the quest.”

Myeongu regained some motivation as he closed his character page and headed to the blacksmith. On his way there he checked his quest window.

“Ah, I’ll need to make a trip to the butchers later.”

Since he was already headed to the blacksmith, he decided to stop by after handing in his quest.

Once he arrived, he walked past the door and went straight to the counter to see Tilto.

“Hello”

Tilto simply nodded back as usual. Myeonghu the proceeded to take out the 30 Steel Claws from his inventory and place them on the counter.

“Here are the 30 Steel Claws you wanted.”

“…!”

Tilto’s eyes grew large as he extended a trembling hand to grasp a set of claws.

“Ohhh…”

He examined them closely, pouring over each and every one of them before looking back up to Myeonghu.

“Thank you!”

[Quest Complete]

Just as the message appeared, Tilto spoke up.

“Wait here one moment!”

Tilto went past the back door and return shortly after holding a small box. Myeonghu licked his lips excitedly, assuming that he would be receiving his big reward.

Tick!

Tilto placed the boc down on the counter.

“This is my small compensation for bringing me these claws!”

He lifted the lid and Myeonghu peered inside.

‘What?’

Unexpectedly the box contained three pills. As Myeonghu reached out to grab them, a message popped up.
