He had finally completed the quest and now that he was in possession of the 30 Steel Claws, it was time to go hand them in to Tilto.

In the process of gathering the 30 Steel Claws, he had also amassed and impressive 42 Pelts and 26 Steel Tails, but that wasn’t all.

Myeonghun took out a mask from his inventory and examined it while smiling.

This mask is a work of wonder.

The mask was the only item which he obtained after hunting dozens of Monstrous Foxes, and it would allow him to take the form of a fox for 10 minutes time.

When he first picked it up he had looked down on it, not seeing the point of being able to become a fox.

But the truth was that it was a super useful, at least in this forest there was no better item for hunting.

One of the Monstrous Foxes spotted him and showed some interest, but soon lied back down to sleep.

The Monstrous Fox which was about to sleep looked up and asked. Indeed, while in Fox form he was able to understand their speech, but he was able to speak himself so he didn’t reply.

Myeonghu ignored and simply jumped and smacked it the face with his paw.

The Monstrous Fox’s neck twisted as its head faced the wrong way and it collapsed to the ground.

After taking care of the second fox, he landed back on the ground and dashed towards the last one.

– Huh? What!

The previous fox had made some noise while falling down to the ground, which alerted the last one.

– Just what are…

Myeonghu leaped gracefully into the air and proceed to slash down at its face

Maybe it was because of his appearance of a common fox, but it didn’t even bother to dodge or defend itself

It let out groan as it was flattened down to the ground, never again to rise.

The message appeared as the last Monstrous Fox died. Myeonghu looked around the clearing at the three corpses which had all died in a unique way.

‘Let’s pick up my loot.’

He was about to release the transformation to collect his items when…

“Huh?”

Just as he was about to turn back into a human, he heard a voice which didn’t belong to a fox. Myeonghu slowly turned towards the source of the sound.

He stayed there, frozen in shock.

“Why are they…?”

The one who had just arrived was the Nine Tails. Myeonghu gulped as he assessed the situation. There were currently 3 dead Monstrous foxes around him. Although he had the appearance of a common fox, that wouldn’t last much longer.

“… Huh?”

The Nine Tails spotted him and he trembled upon coming under her gaze.

As the Nine Tails walked towards him, Myeonghu didn’t know how to react.

‘Ok, this is my chance!’

He had wanted to deal with her after handing in the quest, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to finish her off first either. As the Nine Tails walked closer to him, he swallowed nervously, but it had nothing to do with his desire to attack.
