He couldn’t believe it.

He was hit by another slash and he once again checked his health.

“Ridiculous….”

This time it shaved off 250, but it was still an insignificant amount.

‘The only difference is the armor…’

Compared to last time around, the only thing that had changed was that he now wore a new armor, but that alone made world of difference.

Pak! Pak! Pak! Pak!

The other Monstrous Foxes which arrived shortly after unleashed their flurry of strikes, but Myeonghu nonchalantly kept an eye on his health bar which barely budged.

‘They do less damage as a whole than 1 Monstrous Fox before my armor.’

The Foxes attacks stopped coming, but it wasn’t because they had become afraid.

Myeonghu smiled as he saw the fox before him enter a stunned state after its futile attack. He didn’t hesitate to drop it with a single punch

The messages popped up once the fox collapsed and Myeonghu was relieved to see them after all this time.

Another fox encountered his fist and it died with a whimper.

Rawr!

The two remaining Monstrous foxes finally snapped out of their stunned state and backed away from him. No doubt the sight of their dead comrades setting them on edge.

The two of them began to growl at each other, seemingly communicating in some way.

Soon after they rushed towards Myeonghu in unison. On his end, Myeonghu was relieved as for a second there he had been worried that they might run away, but it seemed that the Monstrous Foxes did not frighten easily.

The two foxes hit their stride as their speed picked up. Just a couple meters out one of them leaped into the air while the other continue to run on the ground.

Myeonghu proceeded to ignore the one in midair and punched the other one straight in the face.

Pak! Bang!

Myeonghu was sent flying through the air by it last paw strike before dying. Actually this had been part of his plan as he wanted to be sent up in order to catch the last Monstrous Fox.

Rawr!

Their bodies collided in the air and they fell down together. The fox took the chance to kick and scratch him a few times, but the damage was negligible due to the armor. Immediately jumping to his feet, Myeonghu ended its life with a single punch.

Myeonghu then took a moment to collect himself, before moving on to gather all the loot.

“If I were to sell all these, the four Pelts, two Steel Tails and 2 Steel Claws….”

A pelt went for 230 gold, the tails 130 and the claws 140.

“1460 gold! If don’t count the Claws, I’d still have 1180 Gold”

As he tallied up the prices, he couldn’t help but smile. It would result in 1180 gold, which was 11.8 million won in cash. Even if he were to lose some of it to fees, that still meant he just made more than 10 million won, which simply felt too easy for him.

“I still can’t quite believe it.”

He closed his inventory and took a look at his stats.

He has levelled up 7 times in such a short period. He then thought about whether or not to distribute his Bonus Stats, but ended up differing it to later.

Myeonghu proceeded to search the area, trying to find another clearing.

While he was walking around, he smiled upon hearing the familiar roars of Monstrous Foxes. Judging by the sound of it they couldn’t be too far.

Myeonghu began to walk in their direction.

“…!”

Upon arriving he couldn’t help but be embarrassed by what he saw before him.

He had come across a large group of 10 Monstrous Foxes, all seemingly communicating with one another. Although he was surprised, he didn’t feel at all nervous.

His surprise was merely at the fact that 10 of them were together in a group, since he had never seen them in such high numbers.

“So she’s here?”

The reason he felt embarrassed upon arriving was the sight of the Nine Tailed Fox which rested in the middle.

‘…’

Myeonghu stared at her in silence. Unfortunately unlike the time they had met by the waterfall, she was now wearing clothes.

‘…huu’

Still, even if she was wearing clothes it couldn’t hide her perfect figure. If anything the clothes which covered only parts of her body was even more alluring than that time in the water as it left more to the imagination.

“Huh? Wait a minute.”

The Nine Tailed Fox had stopped roaring and Myeonghu had a bad premonition so he hid himself behind a bush.

“Something’s strange….”

However their roaring soon started up once more, and Myeonghu let out the breath he had been holding in.

Raawr Rawwr!

Hearing their roars, Myeonghu carefully lifted his head to once more have a peek inside the clearing.

Grrr?

“Ah!”

However upon sticking his head out he bumped into a Monstrous Fox. At least he was quick to react and instantly struck out with a punch.

The fox slumped to the ground and Myeonghu turned to look in the clearing, only to see the nine other Monstrous Foxes and Nine Tailed Fox staring at him.

“Oh shit”

Myeonghu instantly turned around and ran as hard as he could. He wasn’t the least bit afraid of the 9 Monstrous Foxes, it was only the Nine Tails which scared him. After all, its attacks could completely bypass his new armor seeing as they weren’t Physical Attacks, but rather dealt Magic Damage.

As he did his best to escape he heard the sound of his pursuers getting ever closer, but there wasn’t anything he could do about it.

After running for some time, he caught a movement from the corner of his eye and saw a Monstrous Fox trying to outflank him. Upon seeing it, he immediately realised something.

“You’re alone.”

At this point he could no longer hearing the sound of his pursuers.

Tsschh!

Realising that he no longer needed to run run away, he skidded to a stop and turned to face the incoming Monstrous Fox.

Rawwr!

The fox roared, evidently content that its prey stopped fleeing.

“…”

Myeonghu simply stared at it approaching with a sinister smile.

Raawr?

The fox was surprised by the unexpected reaction. Upon seeing his prey attempt to punch him, he slashed out with his claws to strike Myeonghu.

“Kukuku.”

Myeonghu laughed it off as he ignored the incoming strike and landed his punch on its face.
