The Master of Strength

In a secluded room, four men sat around a table and were discussing.

“When should we start?”

“Is it time?”

“Yes I think so”

“…”

Three men spoke up, but they were all looking to see what reaction the last one who kept silent had.

“Huu..”

The man only let out a sigh, causing the other three to shiver

“Let’s wait a bit more, at that time we will be able to make twice as much. For now we focus on build up our strength so that we can protect our interests.

“Yes”

“Alright”

“Okay”

The other three answered calmly.

“Then this meeting is adjourned.”

The man stood up and left the room.

“…”

“…”

As soon as the guy left, the others stared at each other.

“What do you think?”

The biggest on there broke the silence.

“What?”

“…?”

The other two guys were uncertain as to the meaning of the big guy’s question.

“About what Kaiser said”

“It just isn’t the right moment no?”

“I agree we should wait some more.”

“..Huuu”

The man sighed as he shook his head.

“You guys are fools. Do you have any idea how much money Kaiser is making?”

The other two stared each other and answered together.

“50,000 Gold a day.”

“Right! That’s 50.000 per day!”

He finally seemed to get the reaction he wanted.

“Kaiser just said that we could get twice as much if we just wait a bit longer. That’ll mean 100,000 Gold per day. That’s why we need to increase our strength, or else it’ll be hard to stop others from snatching a piece of our pie!

“Right…”

“So what are you trying to say?”

The big man stood up from his chair.

“That it’ time to go hunting.”

Rawrr!

Grrr!

Four Great Fox Kings roared menacingly towards Myeonghu. There was no one else here since Walcha and Luna had already gone ahead back to town.

‘Looks like they are the ones that want to initiate the fight.’

He instinctively thought about how to deal with the foxes, but in truth it was completely unnecessary since he only required a single punch to put them down.

Raawwr!

One of the Foxes lead the attack as it lunged towards him.

Grrr!

Was it some sort of signal? The other three growled as they soon followed after the first, coming at him from all sides. Myeonghu simply ran up to the closest fox and punched out.

Bang!

The Great Fox King died immediately upon contact, at which point Myeonghu instantly turned around.

As he turned back to face the other three, he heard the sound of a corpse falling down behind him, but he just ignored it. He instead charged at the three foxes and let loose a flurry of punches.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The foxes each died immediately upon being hit by his fist.

“Hmm, The experience isn’t nearly as interesting.”

He had killed quite a few of them but had yet to gain a single level.

“Oh well, at least I can probably still gain a few levels by hunting the Monstrous Foxes….”

He walked over and looted the dead corpses. Smiling as he picked up the much needed items.

“Good, that makes 18!”

Including his recent loot he now had 18 Inner cores.

“Let’s collect two more.”

The quest asked for 10 Inner cores, but since it was repeatable, he figured it would make sense to collect at least 20 of them while he was already here.

He then continued walking around the forest, searching for more prey.

Grrrr..?

It didn’t take long for him to come across a clearing in which three of them were resting.

He rushed out from behind the treeline and immediately punched out.

Bang!

Naturally it fell down and died.

Myeonghu then turned to face the last two.

Rawwr!

One of the Great Fox Kings was terribly enraged as it charged him after releasing a deafening roar.

Pak!

It struck him with a slash of its front paw, but naturally it was because Myeonghu didn’t even bother dodging. The attacks of a Great Fox King were so insignificant that it wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that he could just stand there and let it strike him over one thousand times and still come out fine.

Bang!

It died as it was preparing its follow up attack, falling down after receiving the blow.

“Hmm?”

He was confused upon seeing the last Great Fox King.

Rawwr!

The last of the three appeared quite nervous, almost as if it wanted to escape.

‘Hmm.’

If a Great Fox King chose to flee, there was nothing Myeonghu could do as it’s speed was superior and he could never catch up.

Rawr!

As he stepped forward, the fox would quickly take a step, demonstrating its nimbleness.

“…”

Myeonghu thought for a moment and chose to retreat into the bushes.

Rawr?

The Great Fox King appeared confused as its most hated foe chose to run away rather than attack.

Grrr…grr! (phew..)

The Great Fox King approached its fallen brethren.

Grrr…Grrr….Grrrrr!

Shortly after arriving beside the corpses of his best friends Toto and Tutu, it roared in sadness.

Crack!

The sound of branches breaking caused it to turn to look at the nearby bushes.

“I had never left.”

It gulped nervously as it saw the man step out from the bushes.

Rawwr! (I need to escape)

Tete tried to turn tail and run, but  he was frozen in fear and his legs wouldn’t move .

“No can’t escape!”

Myeonghu ran towards it and Tete closed his eyes upon seeing the much feared fist coming his way.

Bang!

It died and Myeonghu quickly collected all the dropped items.

“Done!”

Myeonghu shouted excitedly as he had just gathered the 20 Inner cores. After closing his inventory he looked out towards the forest and thought.

“Should I continue and hunt the Monstrous Foxes?”

He would only need to walk a bit further to arrive into their territory.

“Might as well go and try out the new armor!”

He made up his mind as he walked deeper into the forest

It didn’t take long to come across a clearing, he stopped advancing and looked inside.

‘Four of them…’

There were four Monstrous Foxes in total, two sleeping and two prowling around.

“Should I just go?”

Myeonghu stepped inside and the two alert foxes instantly spotted him.

Rawwr!

Raaawr!

They roared upon catching sight of him and woke up the two which were sleeping right before rushing towards Myeonghu.

“…”

He in turn simply stood still, doing nothing and allowed it to attack unimpeded.

Pak!

It didn’t take long for its claws to strike his left flank, and Myeonghu quickly checked his health

bar.

‘…!’

He couldn’t help but be surprised by what he saw.
