‘Just who is the one messing around?’

It could only be some kind of prank. After all what he had posted were just Rare items and not Uniques, the price was simply too high.

“What a ridiculous sum of money….”

When bidding one had to first have that amount of money on your account, and after placing the bid it would become frozen until the auction was complete or you’d get outbid. That meant that whoever was pranking him had at the very least 70 million won lying around.

“He’s just trying to get me excited….”

Even if he knew it could only be as some kind of joke since on this platform one could cancel their own bids at the last minute, he still couldn’t help but have gotten excited, even if just for a few seconds.

“Looks like I’m better off auctioning them of on a more secure platform.”

He couldn’t trust the internet platform, thinking the offers to be a fake. Instead if he were to place it with the NPC in the ingame Auction system, he could feel secure. Unlike online, once it was bid on it would no longer be possible to take it down, and would end up being sold at whatever price it finished at.

“Regardless, if it wasn’t just a prank, then they will just bid on it once more. Let’s just take down the items.”

He quickly cancelled the online transactions and instead handed over the physical items to the NPC and had them registered for auction.

“What about the Earthen Bracelet of Patience….”

As he was registering the items he thought of his second bracelet which he was currently using.

“Might as well sell it too.”

He eventually took it off and also handed it over to the NPC in charge.

“Fuuu… I’ve put them all up now.”

He now had a total of 8 Rare items up for auction, but what made him smile was that despite taking those items out, his inventory was still filled with a bunch of other items.

* * * *

“What!”

He was confused as to why the Rare items disappeared.

‘Why’d they cancel?’

Since the Item had disappeared before the auction time was over, the only possible explanation was that it had been cancelled by the owner.

‘Shit… were they just testing the waters to gauge a price?’

It wasn’t the first time experiencing this kind of price fishing, but it still felt bad to be caught since he had wasted too much time on it.

‘I have to go back to hunting.’

Gunma turned around to leave the auction house

“A bunch of huge ticket items just appeared on the auction!”

A player shouted excitedly causing Gunma to stop and once again go visit the NPC to have a look.

“…!”

He couldn’t help but be shocked since they were the same items which he had spent his time bidding for online.

“So they were real… all seven of them.”

Of course he had suspected that someone was just fishing for some price information, but he couldn’t resist the chance and bid. In the end when they were cancelled he thought his fears had been confirmed, but it wasn’t at all the case.

“Oh, two Earthen Bracelets of Patience?”

Previously there had been 7 Rares, but there was now a new one for a total of 8. It was even an extra bracelet which he had originally been super interested in. and they both had great properties.

“…”

Gunma once again compared the two with the current Braceleto of Patience which he was currently wearing and came to the conclusion.

“I must get all 4 of them”

He then confirmed how much time remained in the auction.

“I guess I might as well do some hunting first, right?”

There was still plenty of time left and he had no reason to just stay here in engage in a fierce bidding war. At the end of the day it was only the highest bid which counted and not how many times you bid.

“I’ll have to go big at the very last minute.”

He would simply take a break from hunting in time to arrive right before the end of the auction.

Myeonghu closed his inventory as he set off to find the NPC in charge of selling miscellaneous items.

It didn’t take long to spot him in the corner of the Auction house.

“Welcome”

The NPC greeted him warmly as he approached.

“Hello, would you happen to sell stalls over here?”

“Sure, right over there.”

Myeonghu’s gaze followed where the old man was pointing, and after arriving saw a few stalls for sale.

“They’re all mostly similar, albeit for some small differences.”

They would differ slightly in sizes or colors. Some even had special options.

“This one looks good.”

After looking through a few he found one he liked.

<Solid Street Stall [Magic]>

Limit: None

Maximum number of displays: 10

Glittery display board available (max 100 characters)

“Should I buy this?”

A maximum of 10 displays was quite nice compared to some of the others he had seen, and the glittery display board might work well to attract attention.

He picked it up and approached the NPC.

“How much for it?”

“20 gold!”

Hearing the price he took a look how much gold he had left.

“Barely enough”

He currently only had 20 gold and some silver in change. Still, he didn’t hesitate to fork over the money to the old man.

“Have a nice day.”

Myeonghu walked out the store and went searching for a nice little spot to set up shop.

“Where would the best place be?”

He wasn’t necessarily looking for best place, just finding a spot with decent foot traffic was enough.

“Uhg…”

However the reality was that even finding simply a mediocre spot was hard because they were all occupied by players.

“I guess I’ll have to settle for some corner.”

Arriving at a rather desolate corner, he set up his stall on the ground and took a seat. He then began to take some swords, placing the maximum 10 swords down on the mat. Once he was done he used its special glittery display board in an attempt to attract customers.

[Selling Magic swords at a low price. Payment in Gold]

“Good…”

After completing his preparations, he looked around the place observing the other players which were likewise peddling their wares.

In his current spot there weren’t any customers, just other sellers like him. It might take some time, but they would eventually be some who were drawn in, so far now he needed only wait.

“Excuse me.”

The player next to him which also was waiting by his stall spoke out to Myeonghu.

“Yes?”

Could you please tell me the properties of your best sword?”

Since the player was asking for his very best one, Myeonghu picked the Shiny Steel Sword.

“Restriction is, 250 Strength, 150 stamina , 50 Wisdom, Physical Damage: 140 ~ 150

Attack Speed +5%, Movement Speed +5%.”

“Whoa, wait up I’m coming”

The player quickly got up and put away his own stall, before coming over. He then proceeded to examine each sword on display one by one.

“…what a big score.”

The player was pleasantly surprised upon seeing their properties.

“Could you please tell me how much your selling the Shiny Steel Sword for?”

To which Myeonghu replied.

“How much are you willing to pay?”

“Well…”

After a short moment of indecision the player continued.

“Since you claim to be selling them cheap… would 90 gold do?”

‘…!’

Naturally he didn’t express any surprise as he kept his poker face while examining this potential customer.

‘I bought it for 25 gold, and now he wants it for 90. Thats a 65 gold profit, or rather 650,000 won!”

“Is it not enough?”

Seeing that Myeonghu had yet to agree he began to fidget.

“Then…”

“I’ll pay 5 gold more!”

Before Myeonghu could even finish, the player sweetened the deal. Naturally Myeonghu gladly obliged.

“Okay”

“Thank you!”

The player quickly grabbed the sword from the display, at which point a message appeared before him.

[Do you wish to sell the Shiny Steel Sword. for 95 gold?]

Myeong simply pressed OK to accept. After which he took out another sword from his inventory to replace the now empty spot.

“Huh?”

Seeing Myeonghu simply replace the sword he had bought with another of his kind, the player could only look up at Myeonghu with a stupefied expression and ask.

“Do you have more of such swords?”

“Yes”

The player’s excitement began to grow as he could barely control himself.

“Could you tell me how many of them you have?”

Hearing the question Myeonghu opened up his inventory to confirm the number.

“I have 10 swords on display and 39 in my inventory for a total of 49.”

“OMG! Please wait here, I’ll be right back.”

THe player dashed away towards the Central plaza and Myeonghu simply watched him go as he ran excitedly. It was then that someone else spoke up.

“Excuse me, but do you truly have 49 swords?”

Myeonghu simply nodded back.

“Wow I want to see them.”

Another player who was next Myeonghu folded his own stall and headed over to see him. In fact it wasn’t only him, as other players which had originally been sellers came over to have a look.
