The Master of Strength

Grrr!

After about 4 seconds, the fox managed to break free and roared angrily. Still, it didn’t immediately attack and instead leaped back cautiously as Myeonghu stared at it with a wide smile.

“About a 20% resistance.”

It was lower than he had expected for the Monstrous fox, 4 seconds gave him plenty of time to kill one off.

He took a step towards it and panic settled in the fox’s eyes. It was uncertain whether to follow a fight or flight response, no doubt due to the lengthy stun period it had just suffered.

As Myeonghu arrived before it, it finally spun around and lashed out with its tail, choosing to fight.

“I guess I’ll be stunned for a second or so.”

Swoosh!

[1 second stun.]

The message appeared following the tail strike, as Myeonghu watched the Monstrous fox  likewise become stunned.

‘Oh….’

It seemed like the ring’s option also worked on the Tail’s Spin.

“Shall I try something out?”

Myonghu muttered to himself as he approached the stunned fox. Now that his Strength had increased significantly, he was wondering what a regular attack of his would result in.

Surprisingly, he was able to bring it down with a single punch.

“This should be plenty.”

Having concluded that hunting Monstrous foxes would no longer be a problem from here on out, he opened up his character page.

Myeonghu frowned as he muttered to himself.

“The Incredible leveling speed and ability to kill a Monstrous fox with single punch, it was so gobsmacking that if others were to learn of this there would certainly be public outrage.”

Monstrous foxes weren’t common monsters, which was why the experience was so generous. And yet, he was able to kill them with a single blow. If other players were to learn of this, just what sort of outrage would occur. Naturally he wasn’t doing anything illegal like exploiting some kind of bug or cheat, but there would still certainly be some backlash at the imbalance.

“I hadn’t thought of that at that time.”

Myeonghu thought back to what happened a little while ago, and the surprise on Fabian’s face when he one shotted the Great Fox King before his party.

“I’ll have to be a bit more careful in the future.”

He was not one to dwell on the past, so going forward he would just take care not to demonstrate his ability to one shot Monstrous foxes in front of any players. He then poured all his Bonus Stats into Strength and had a look.

He thought to himself as he bent down to pick up the loot.

He shouted as he kept searching for more foxes.

Myeonghu smiled as the Monstrous fox which had just struck him with its tail, also entered a stunned state.

“Buh-bye!”

Being the first of the two to exit from their stun, he struck down with his first.

Bang!

He looked down at the fallen Monstrous fox, and and moved his gaze to the other four corpses in the area.

“I wonder just what kind of items I’ll receive this time around.”

Myeonghu said expectantly. He started with the fox he had just killed, but received only the regular loot.

He sent them into his inventory and then moved on to the next corpse, at which point a smile formed on his face.

“What are these Boots of Arrogance?”

This one had dropped a pair of boots along with the Pelt and Tail, which was quite a lot for a single Monstrous Fox.

With a casual smile he placed it in his inventory as he continued to collect the rest of the loot.

The third one didn’t have anything special, so he simply moved on to the fourth.

Although it dropped one more, there weren’t any of the desired equipments so he moved on to the last corpse.

“Are equipment drops really that rare?”

Myeonghu complained half heartedly, however the reality was that he was already quite fortunate to have received the amount of equips that he had. After arriving at the fifth and last fox, he finally found something which caught his attention.

“…?”

He found a pair of gloves which he immediately reached out to grab

When defending, 5% chance to increase Dodge rate by 20% for the next 20 seconds (can’t stack)

“…OMG”

He was left speechless by its incredible options. Naturally he was unable to use them due to the restrictions, but they would be a godly item for any Assassin at this stage.

The amount of Bonus Stats available was so absurd that if any other person were to see his page this would certainly call him out for cheating.

“It’s been too easy….”

After finding the Ring of Fainting it had become far too simple to hunt Monstrous Foxes. Although it almost felt wrong to slaughter them so easily, the rewards were too rich to pass up, which resulted in the 580 Bonus Stats.

“Should I assign them now?”

He was wondering whether or not to finally use up his points.

“No need, I’ll just gather up some more first.”

He then closed his character page and opened up his inventory. He had been accumulating so many drops that he was beginning to run low on inventory space, so he had no choice but to throw out old loot like the Bear Pelts.

“It feels bad to just toss them out.”

He had no choice but to leave them behind, but it pained his heart to do so. He then took the time to take stock of his current inventory.
