After walking around for some time, he came to a stop and sighed.

“Why can’t I find just one?”

Since killing his second Monstrous fox, he had yet to kill another. He had searched everywhere, and indeed found some Monstrous foxes, but the problem was that they were always in groups of 3 or more, and always in some open area.

“If there were just two of them I should be able to handle it.”

If he were to come across a group of two, he could quickly take out the first with a single blow and deal with the other one on one, but three would be too much. As soon as a single one of their tails landed, then he could be chain CC’d and unable to break free.

As time went by, he could only sigh helplessly and take a look at his stats.

“I’d probably lose to 3 Monstrous foxes right?”

Thinking about his previous fight, he felt that even 2 Monstrous foxes might pose quite a challenge.

“Do I really have to settle for just hunting the Great Fox Kings?”

Although he regretted wasting so much time, he couldn’t keep dwelling on it so he began moving towards a new hunting ground.

Snore!

“…!”

He peered through the bushes and attempted to keep calm.

‘Two of them!’

There were two Monstrous foxes sleeping in the clearing.

Badump! Badump!

His heart pounded but he kept his cool as he scanned the area for any additional foxes. He smiled as he failed to spot any and began to stealthily close the distance.

The two Monstrous foxes continued to sleep, oblivious to the approaching danger as Myeonghu loomed over the first and punched down hard.

“Strike!”

Bang!

Grrrr

The first victim succumbed to a single blow, resulting in a slew of level up messages. Myeonghu however didn’t waste any time as he proceeded towards the second.

Grrr?

It cried out lazily as it had just opened its eyes and was unaware of its predicament. It only slashed out half-heartedly with its front paws, almost on instinct. Myeonghu smiled seeing that it wasn’t taking him seriously.

Pak!

He allowed the claws to land as he instead focused on his own punch.

“Strike!”

Bang!

[Level Up!]

It once again collapsed immediately, resulting in another bunch of level ups. He then looked back at the first monster’s corpse.

“Was it because I caught them sleeping?”

The hunt had gone much easier than he had expected, even easier than when he had fought them one on one.

Myeonghu then proceeded to pick up the items.

-You have obtained the Monstrous Fox’s Pelt

-You have obtained the Monstrous Fox’s Steel Claws

-You have obtained the Monstrous Fox’s Steel Tail

“Oh?”

Myeonghu who had thought he had gotten all the items spotted a small metallic object.

“A ring!”

He instantly reached out to it, ignoring the other drops.

-You have obtained the Ring of Fainting

<Ring of Fainting [Unique]>

Restrictions: NA

Magic Defense: 100

Stun resistance + 50%

When struck, you have a 50% chance to inflict a 5 seconds stun on the opponent.

Created by an ancient wizard, its artistic value is also appealing.

“Huh…?”

Myeonghu checked the items properties once more to make sure he wasn’t seeing things.

As he rubbed his eyes and held a look of incredulity, his mouth practically began to drool.

“Jackpot!”

Not only did it give a significant stun resistance, it also had a 50% chance to stun the attacker, and that for a full 5 seconds. It went without saying that he immediately chose to equip it.

“With this I no longer need to worry about that dreaded tail.”

The most dangerous part of the Monstrous fox wasn’t its attack damage, but rather its tail which could stun him. However now that he had a 50% increase to his stun resistance, all previous stuns of seconds would only now last one second, meaning it would be much harder to chain.

“There’s even the second option. ”

This Unique ring even had the ability to counterattack, with a chance of a 5 seconds stun. Naturally the actual duration would depend on the opponents own stun resistance, but it was unlikely to be 100%.

“With this taking on three or four of them shouldn’t be a problem.”

It was certainly possible, but he would first have to figure out what their stun resistance was.

“I’ll need to experiment a bit, hopefully their resistance is low….”

Having made up his mind to first test it out before engaging a large group, he then moved on to his character page.

“….”

He was left speechless, and for once it had nothing to do with his Strength which was over 7000.

“16 levels… it feels almost too fast.”

At a point where other players had to group up and grind for a single level, he was leaving them all in the dust. Still, leveling up quickly could never be considered a bad thing, so he simply smiled and invested it all once more into Strength.

“At this rate it won’t be long before I break past 10,000.”

He then closed his window and set off.

As he trudged along, he looked down at his hand admiring the Ring of Fainting which now complemented his Icy Knuckle Braces.

“To start off I shouldn’t face a group of more than three.”

He figured that three would be a safe number since he could easily kill off one of them with a single blow, and then use the other two to experiment. He kept wandering through the woods, searching for a suitable group.

Rustle

‘…!’

As he was searching through the forest, he heard a sound from the bushes behind him, forcing him to stop and turn around.

Seeing a Monstrous fox step out, Myeonghu couldn’t help but smile as this was the ideal situation. The fox quickly rushed him and slashed with its front paw.

Pak!

However Myeonghu didn’t react, allowing the fox to strike out once more. Afterall, the goal here was to figure out its stun resistance.

Pak!

The fox struck out with its other paw, but immediately after its body froze, as if time itself had stopped. The stun had triggered, and Myeonghu began to count in his head.
