Chapter 258 Leo’s Grand Plan

The space life support system chosen by Leo naturally originated from Wakanda’s technology as it was ahead of its time and cutting-edge.

Its blueprints were already presented in Wakanda’s spaceship designs, requiring him to make some thoughtful modifications to integrate it seamlessly into Viper.

Gesturing at the holographic simulation screen, he swiftly designed a complete set of space life support systems that flawlessly merged with the Viper.

“Buzz! Importing the space life support system. Please continue with manual adjustments, master!”

Subsequently, with Steam’s assistance, Leo reprogrammed the intelligent processing chips within various components of Viper, enabling it to synergize more effectively with his “Mechanical Force – Relay” skill.

As the fully formed 3D model of the armor rotated slowly in midair, Leo stroked his chin, carefully examining the armor while pondering if there were any further areas for improvement.

Compared to Mark VIII, Viper Mark IX had removed numerous space-consuming Intracranial Transmitter modules, allowing for the potential inclusion of more weapons. In his earlier design, he already incorporated various advanced energy weapons derived from Wakanda into the armor.

Moreover, unlike conventional firearms, energy weapons didn’t have the limitation of ammunition consumption. Taking advantage of the Pym Particles, he managed to make the energy weapons rather compact.

However, there was still room for improvement in the offensive capabilities of the Viper.

“What weapons does Iron Man’s armor have?” Leo contemplated silently.

Suddenly, he shook his head and muttered to himself.

“Don’t restrict yourself to Iron Man’s armor. Don’t let Iron Man limit your imagination. Your technology surpassed Iron Man’s decades ago. Explore the strengths of this armor. Unleash your potential.”

With that in mind, he began to enumerate the differences between Viper and Iron Man. The greatest distinction was that the Viper was incredibly lightweight, thanks to the support of the Pym Particles. Its agility rivaled that of the Black Panther Suit, and its maneuverability was on par with a fighter jet, granting it impressive close-quarters combat capabilities.

Besides, his body had undergone various enhancements, making him no less formidable than Captain America. His combat skills were at the level of Bucky Barnes, far surpassing the abilities of the ordinary Tony Stark.

Therefore, equipping Viper with a few melee weapons could yield destructive power comparable to firearms. On top of that, they could be miniaturized using the Pym Particles and…

Out of the blue, a stroke of inspiration struck Leo.

Whether it was a cold weapon or a hot weapon that fired energy beams, they weren’t disposable items. So they could be shrunk using the Pym Particles and stored in a dedicated weapon compartment.

For example, a wristguard.

Its design wouldn’t only be portable but also allow for carrying a variety of weapons, catering to different combat needs.

Of course, this design wasn’t intended for him as he already held the Storage Belt that served a similar purpose. It also could be designed as a smart device, utilizing voice recognition and buttons for activation.

That way, when Bucky or Natasha faced an enemy, they could simply shout, ‘Sword! Come!’ and a three-foot blade would pop into their unarmed hand, seemingly out of thin air. Wouldn’t this scare the enemies’ pants off? Shouting “Energy cannon! Come!” probably would be even more intimidating.

Regardless, that was the gist of the idea. With this concept in mind, he set it aside for now and focused on perfecting his Viper. Without completing it, he wouldn’t spend his time creating suits for others.

But inspired by the wristguard concept and coupled with his “Mechanical Force – Relay”, he abruptly had an even better idea.

“Steam, create a new project. Smart Utility Belt.”

“Buzz! Project created.”

Next, it was time to fully unleash his intelligence and wit.

The Smart Utility Belt would be crafted with Vibranium, extremely resilient to prevent it from damaging or losing functionality. Compared to the original Storage Belt, it featured additional modules for power supply and intelligent chip processing, removing the need for external slots.

Its interior was redesigned in a honeycomb pattern, composed of small and compact hexagonal cells, instead of a single large compartment.

Each hexagonal cell served as an independent storage unit, capable of holding only one item or a specific category of items. They were also equipped with a Forwarding Box, allowing for the item to be ejected from the belt via a specialized track.

The specific contents of each hexagonal cell in the honeycomb structure, as well as future storage items, would be handled by the intelligent core of the belt, following a pre-set allocation program.

From now on, Leo would only need to communicate with the intelligent core of the belt using his “Mechanical Force – Relay” and the belt would eject the desired item through the Forwarding Box or store the item he wanted to put in.

And this virtually achieved zero delays in accessing stored items.

His previous Storage Belt required him to rely on his extraordinary memory to memorize where each item was placed.

However, as he accumulated more and more items in the belt, he found that apart from commonly used or larger items, there were often instances where he mistakenly retrieved the wrong materials, small weapons, or other rarely used items.

Even his enhanced memory couldn’t keep track of everything.

Hence, a Smart Utility Belt became essential. It would greatly free up Leo’s brain, allowing him to concentrate on other more important tasks.

Apart from that, he would also include the cold weapons he envisioned earlier in the Smart Utility Belt and allocate dedicated storage space for Viper. Possessing the ability to control objects with his Mechanical Force, he achieved full automation when putting on or taking off the Viper.

Thanks to the Pym Particles, Leo had achieved a unique form of nanotechnology, surpassing the technological level of Earth in the Marvel Universe by more than two decades.

Besides, he was certain that he wasn’t far from obtaining true nanotechnology.

On Earth, the “most advanced and cutting-edge” nanotechnology was only developed and researched twenty years later, but that was not the case in the universe.

It could be said that nanotechnology had long been prevalent in the universe.

As shown in the Captain Marvel movie, the Kree soldiers used nanotechnology for their helmet deployment.

With the arrival of Captain Marvel, Leo not only had the chance and hope to obtain the Tesseract but much more. And more importantly, he could use this as a stepping stone to delve into nanotechnology, exploring warp engines and accessing star charts to officially embark on his journey into the universe.

Then, he could lock onto the Orb, also known as the Power Stone, locked away on the Planet Morag.

This was his grand plan.

That was why he generously wanted to share the Heart-shaped Herb with Bucky, Natasha, Matt, and others, and even provide them with a powerful suit free of charge. Because they might be the first batch of allies that he would bring along when venturing into the universe.

One’s allies naturally had to be armed to the teeth.

Even a bunch of fools like the Guardian of the Galaxy could thrive in the universe. Leo believed that the elite team he led would also make a name for themselves in the universe.

Returning back to the main topic. After designing the models for Viper Mark IX and the Smart Utility Belt, he started the actual manufacturing.

Viper Mark IX was a direct modification of Viper Mark VIII. Combined with the “Vibranium Rapid Precision Processor” he obtained from Wakanda, the manufacturing process wouldn’t take too long.

According to his estimation, it would take two nights and a day to complete all the production processes.

However, when Leo’s work reached the halfway point, the latest model of the Daimi phone on the workbench began ringing.

Ding-a-ling~

Utterly engrossed in his work, Leo didn’t notice the ringing of the phone. But with Steam around, he wouldn’t miss any calls.

“Buzz! Master! An unknown call from 212-XXXX.”
