Firstly, I would like your help in finding the person who awakened me. I have a feeling that she, by awakening me prematurely, has had an impact on my abilities. I possess certain memories and in my blurred recollections, I remember coming from an immensely large planet. On that planet, there were others like me, and they were all very friendly…”

As she spoke, she suddenly grew conflicted, “But I also have another set of memories regarding my origin. I also come from an extremely vast and vibrant planet where my kind existed, but they were hostile toward me. I was banished from there.”

“Ah! I can’t remember clearly!” the girl in black shook her head vigorously. “Anyway, Leo, can you please help me?”

Right now, Leo was utterly dumbfounded. He had an overwhelming urge to retort.

‘For crying out loud, my entire existence doesn’t even add up to fifty years, and you’re asking me to find some ancient figure from fifty thousand years ago? Where on earth am I supposed to look?’ 

The first request seemed somewhat plausible. If that person truly lived for fifty thousand years and by some stroke of luck, still resided on Earth, Leo might stumble upon them someday, provided he lived long enough.

But what about the second request?

‘Excuse me, goddess, which eye of yours spotted me as a space explorer? Asking me to find two planets right off the bat, why don’t you just ask me to build a new planet for you to rule over? These two requests of yours are getting more absurd by the minute. I genuinely want to help, but I have no idea how to assist with such tasks!’

With this realization, Leo decided to play along for a while, intending to exploit the situation. He would feign cooperation, reap the benefits, and then make a swift getaway. It felt like an exhilarating scheme.

“I wasn’t aware that Bast carried that meaning. I haven’t heard of any Egyptian legend about the cat goddess Bast.” The girl in black looked innocently at him and said, “Actually, I don’t have a name. No one has ever spoken to me before. If you ask me for a name, I can only go by Bast.”

A sudden idea struck Leo, and he said, “How about I give you a name?”

“Sure,” the girl in black replied without hesitation.

Glancing at the girl in black, he admired her impressive figure, “How about Lilith?”

“Lilith? Lilith,” the girl repeated the name, savoring it. “Does this name match my style?”

“It’s a perfect match,” Leo nodded right away.

“Well then, I’ll be called Lilith. I finally have a name,” the girl expressed her delight.

Once Lilith’s excitement calmed down, Leo began to showcase his top-tier acting skills. “Um, Lilith, it’s not that I don’t want to fulfill your request, but it’s genuinely challenging for me to do so.”

This move is called ‘feigning reluctance.’

As expected, Lilith’s face showed an expression of “Please continue.”

“You see, the average lifespan of Earthlings is only around seventy to eighty years. So, the Earthling you met fifty thousand years ago is highly likely to have reached the end of its natural lifespan. But imagine, while I’m running around, someone else could simply close their eyes and take a nap in a cave for a couple of centuries. How would I find them? If I can’t even find that person on Earth, how could I possibly find your home planet in the vastness of the universe? How big is the universe and how big is Earth? I might wander through the universe until I die, yet not be able to find a single inhabited planet. So, I really want to help you, but I’m truly powerless!”
