Chapter 232 Supplementing

TL: Kyous

After Bucky’s awkward laughter subsided, Leo spoke again, “You can go look for this similar serum but make sure to be careful. Besides the possibility of the Wakandan king discovering you, Wakanda’s technology is also highly advanced. They just didn’t expect tiny ant-sized people to sneak in, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have the ability to detect you.”

“Of course, I’ll be careful.” Bucky nodded, but his expression suddenly became strange. “Is Wakanda’s technology really that advanced? Sure, those drones and invisibility shields are very high-tech but why do I see their warriors often armed with curved swords and spears around their waists? Armed combat has been obsolete for almost two hundred years. Shouldn’t the armies of technologically advanced countries all be equipped with firearms, cannons, and other modern weapons?”

“Although they’re still using cold weapons, you still can’t underestimate them. Their swords and spears can fire energy blasts that are more powerful than ordinary sniper rifles!” Leo cautioned.

“What? Their spears and swords can fire energy blasts?” Bucky was stunned.

“That’s right and that’s where their technology is amazing!” Leo nodded solemnly, dispelling any doubts Bucky might have about underestimating Wakanda.

By now, the two had finished eating. Leo threw down his chopsticks and said, “Bucky, you clean up the garbage, remember to sort it, wash the dishes, wipe the table. I’ve to go out for a bit. If you want to nap, the bedroom on the right is yours.”

Bucky was surprised by Leo’s sudden words, and asked with confusion, “What are you going to do?”

“To get more Vibranium, of course!” Leo’s voice involuntarily rose a few notches.

“Aren’t they being guarded and not easily obtainable?” Bucky asked puzzledly. Did Leo really make up such a clumsy lie just to avoid taking out the trash?

“Not easily obtainable doesn’t mean it’s impossible to get,” Leo explained. “The newly extracted Vibranium isn’t weighed and packaged yet, so it’s possible to take some.”

“How much can we get?” Bucky asked.

Leo thought for a moment, considering the multiple mines in the area, and said, “We can probably get a dozen or so tubes of Vibranium per day.”

“I’ll take care of the trash, you got get the Vibranium!” Bucky waved his hand.

Finally, he muttered under his breath, “Making billions of dollars a day. If only I could fly like you, I’d be willing to stay here for a whole year.”

Leo smiled and summoned the nearby Viper. Once he suited up, he left the Capsule Houses and shrank his size, slipping out through the cracks in the tree bark.

The moon was still high in the sky outside and of course, he wasn’t going to waste precious time to collect the puny amount of Vibranium. He needed to continue studying at the research facility.

Before long, he flew to the mine and followed his familiar route to the lab. However, this time, upon arriving at the lab, he didn’t rush blindly into studying.

Although it seemed the system and Leo’s brain had no storage limit, seemingly endless blueprints and technologies could be stored in it. But learning had to be selective!

Purposeful and planned learning would be much more useful to Leo than randomly learning a bit of everything. So he began to ponder, what should he be studying at the lab now. After pondering for a while, he finally had some plans in his mind which were learning whatever he lacked and supplementing his knowledge accordingly.

He already noticed that his communicator couldn’t transmit messages from inside the mine, making communication with Bucky very difficult. Therefore, the first thing he needed to do was to figure out a solution to this problem.

Naturally, he immediately thought of the Kimoyo Beads he had analyzed before. According to the blueprints he obtained, the communication principle of the Kimoyo Beads was fundamentally the same as that of his communicator. Both utilized multi-frequency electromagnetic signals to transmit information. Nonetheless, because of the unique characteristics of Vibranium, Kimoyo Beads employed a higher frequency range with a stronger penetrating ability and longer transmission distance.

If it were only this, based on Leo’s knowledge of Vibranium’s properties, Kimoyo Beads should also have been unable to penetrate the mine. However, it remained a fact that the Kimoyo Beads could transmit signals inside the mine.

The reason behind it was simple. There was a signal relay station built into the mine, connecting the inside and outside of the mine through a wired connection.

With this in mind, Leo knew what he needed to learn first.

It didn’t take him long to find the so-called signal relay station once he had a goal in mind. The relay station in the mine wasn’t just one device, but rather a combination of a signal relay tower on the surface and multiple signal transponders inside the mine.

Fortunately, all the signal relays had the same model and the signal relay tower wasn’t too bulky once the useless iron frame was removed. He quickly learned the blueprints of both the transponder and the tower.

Now it was for Leo to showcase his intelligence and creativity. Since obtaining the Mechanic System, his intellectual abilities had been enhanced passively in all aspects, and he was naturally a quick learner.

According to the blueprints in his mind, he easily combined the blueprints for the communication device, transponder, and relay tower, designing a set of external relay stations that could theoretically transmit signals secretly through the mine.

Next, all he had to do was to build the set of external relay stations according to the blueprints and install them in a suitable location.

Having this thought, he left the mine and returned to the vicinity of the Capsule House.

He searched for a large tree near the base, creating a makeshift hole following the tree’s natural contours. Then, he pulled out a ten-room, two-story building from his Storage Belt before stuffing it into the hole and camouflaging it.

This two-story lab was entirely constructed of metal plates and reinforced steel, coated with Vibranium protective film on the outside, and powered independently by a large Arc Reactor. It was a portable lab that he specifically built which he named Sumeru Lab.

Sumeru Lab was equipped with every piece of equipment, facility, and material that Erwin Research Center had except for Steam’s assistance.

It was a lab he built for emergency situations and it proved to be just what he needed in Wakanda.

Entering the lab, he began building the external station. But before he started, he took a brief one-hour rest in the lounge and worked tirelessly until 6:30 a.m. the next, finally completing the station.

Consisting of two parts, one on the surface and one underground. Each part was no bigger than a matchstick when viewed at a normal scale because they were built in Sumeru Lab. If they were to be enlarged to normal size, they would be two meters tall.

This was the amazing effect of Pym Particles. Leo could create many powerful instruments, but their size could be reduced to an unimaginable degree.

Carrying a sense of anticipation, Leo flew back to the mine and installed the external station on both the signal relay tower and the signal transponder. Then, he began to call for Bucky inside the research facility.

“Bucky, Bucky. This is Leo, do you copy?”
