Chapter 106 Kidnapping

Evening, it was time to get off work. One by one, employees started leaving El Tech Company.

As everyone knows, in a big company, different departments have different leaving times. El Tech Company’s Sales Department had an earlier leaving time.

El Gen-1 had superior performance and there’s a lack of competitors on the market. So, there wasn’t any need to worry about sales.

Heather, the Chief of the Sales Department, was idling around every day as massive amounts of information came surging like a tidal wave. Without spending much effort, the Sales Department’s daily performance would be great.

Unworried about the sales, Heather’s daily life in the company was comfortable. Besides, every day she was able to have dinner with her lover, Matt. It was akin to a double harvest of relationship and career.

Presently, Heather had gotten off from work and was exiting El Building. She was going to the nearby law firm to meet up with Matt.

It was Friday and the last working day of the week. This day generally was the most relaxing day. She had an upcoming steak dinner date with Matt and was preparing to have a night full of the joys of spring.

Hanging a smile on her lips, Heather was expectant for tonight and subconsciously hastened her footsteps.

“Hi, Heather.” All of a sudden, a familiar lady’s voice called her. “Over here!”

As Heather turned her head, she saw a cyan car parked by the roadside. In the car was Mary Jane with a smile while waving.

The two girls had tons in common and they were very familiar with each other after several business partnerships.

Therefore, Heather naturally stopped and headed toward the car instead, having a casual chat with Mary Jane. “Jane, you’re off quite early! Are you picking up Mr. Parker?”

“That’s right, I’m here for Peter. We agreed on having dinner together. Have you seen Peter?” Mary Jane exited the car. Her tight journalist uniform on her was looking smart.

“You and Mr. Parker are too sweet!” Heather complimented first. “When I was leaving, Mr. Parker was still in the company. Maybe his leaving time was later than I did, you probably need to wait for a while. How about I lead you into the company’s parlor first?”

“Thanks, Heather but no thanks. I’ll just wait in the car.” Mary Jane suddenly revealed a cheeky smile as her dimple appeared. Pointing at Nelson-Murdock Law Firm, she said, “I saw you walking quite fast, heading to that firm just now. Do you have some plans with Mr. Murdock tonight?” As a journalist, Mary Jane was observant.

“Haha, Mary, You’re keen. In fact, I’m going to have dinner with Matt.”

Just as the ladies were casually chatting, neither of them noticed two black vans silently creeping toward them from behind.

Within the car, one of the passengers spoke to a walkie-talkie softly, “Mr. Nordril, target found, it’s El Tech Company’s Chief of Sales, Heather. Next to the target is an unknown female. The two of them are conversing, please give your order, sir.”

“Capture both of them. Team Alpha returns after capturing. Team Beta searches for an opportunity to capture that Ol’ Tom.”

“Copy that!”

One of the black vans slowly parked in front of Mary Jane’s car. The next moment, two buff men came out of the car and speedily rushed to Heather and Mary Jane.  One for each, they were taping the ladies’ mouths and picking the ladies up like a sack.

How could two weak ladies be a match against two muscular men? Coupled with being ambushed, the ladies managed to shout part of their boyfriend’s name before being stuffed into the black van.

Moreover, Mary Jane’s car was driven away too. The car directly left along the road. The entire process happened swiftly and quietly.

“Arh… arh…”

Underneath El Building, various high or low-pitched screams echoed without pausing. Leo was testing Matt’s reaction to different frequencies and amplitude of the noise.

Due to a lack of advanced and audiovisual instruments to show Matt’s level of tolerance, Leo and Matt were forced to carry out the most primitive method.

After testing went on for a while, Matt’s super hearing was greatly affected and temporarily stopped functioning. This was also why the only one who could hear Heather and Mary Jane’s screaming, couldn’t discover anything.

“Boss Bucky, where should we eat?”

“Anywhere will do.”

Ol’ Tom followed behind Bucky to exit El Building.

“How about we go to Peace Diner for steak? It was quite good the first few times we ate it.”

“Sure.”

As Leo was acting like a phantom while Ol’ Tom would return home every night and Bucky needed to sleep for half a night, unless it was an unexpected situation, every evening Bucky and Ol’ would have dinner together. It wasn’t the first time they went to Peace Diner.

Leaving the bustling main street in front of the company since it was leaving time, they entered a slightly empty alley.

“Ol’ Tom, there’s a black van following us.” When in the crowded place just now, the black van didn’t stand out of place. Right now, the alley was somewhat empty and the black van was equivalent to a black horse in the middle of the field. It was extremely eye-catching.

“Boss Bucky, what should we do now? Wipe them off?” This was Ol’ Tom’s subconscious suggestion. He had never once seen anyone get off easy after messing with Bucky.

“Relax, let’s wait and see who they are first.” As pedestrians gradually decreased, the black horse was becoming braver.

The black van accelerated before stopping before Bucky and Ol’ Tom. Two muscular men, who were larger than the ones who kidnapped Heather and Mary Jane, rushed out of the van. The same business, they wanted to drag Bucky and Ol’ Tom into the van.

The van originally consisted of seven seats, but right now, the last row’s seats were removed, leaving a space behind.

After the guns on Bucky and Ol’ Tom’s waists were swept off, their hands were bound behind their back. Currently, both of them were on their knees. Despite showing a panicked expression, the duo was calm internally. As if the shadow of some famous actor enveloped them, both of them wanted to probe for more information.

Hard work indeed does pay off. The black van’s driver immediately revealed his identity when speaking to the walkie-talkie. “Mr. Nordril, Ol’ Tom has been captured. There’s another white male too.”

The signal was mildly poor. Followed by static noises, a male’s voice came out. “Why’s there another one again? Have you searched both of them?”

“Yes sir, they had guns on them.”

“Search carefully. Remove their shirt too, especially the extra one. Double-check him, make sure every metal item is removed.”
