The Hunter Academy

Chapter 6 - Light and Shadow

Atalanta took the Class D students to the auditorium where the first event of the school year was going to take place.

They entered a large building. Atalanta spoke with the supervisor and he took them to their position on the chairs.

The chairs were distributed in rows of 20 chairs, with each class occupying two rows. There was a hallway in the middle that separated the rows into 10 chairs on the left and another 10 chairs on the right.

The new students had reserved seats in the first 4 rows on each side. Class A occupied the first two rows on the left side and class B occupied the rows on the right side, class C occupied the two rows behind class A and class D was behind class B.

When Class D arrived, all the chairs except Class A had been occupied. The rest of the courses had not arrived either. When class D arrived it received the attention of the other two classes.

Class C members muttered to each other as they watched between Ryan and Sahazel, probably talking about the incident at the airport.

Class B, on the other hand, had looks of disdain and mocked Class D out loud. Some boys turned their attention to Fleur.

"Girl, if you come to bed with me tonight, I'll give you Lv 2 monster meat," said a class B boy boldly.

Fleur did not pay attention to him and went to her place. The boy, seeing that Fleur did not pay attention to him, only laughed l.e.w.dly as he looked around her body. All his female companions gave him looks of disgust but they did not pay more attention to him, apparently they were already accustomed.

Fleur sat in her place in the second row and clenched her fists as she bit her lips.

"You have to put up with it, Fleur" She muttered underneath.

"They are only flies, they have arrived there only because their parents are rich" Fleur heard a flat voice on her right.

She turned her head in surprise and saw Sahazel sitting next to her with his eyes closed. She frowned and asked in a cold voice.

"What are you doing here?"

"I have nowhere else to stand, the rest of the boys evade us" This time Setanta replied that he was on the other side of Sahazel.

She raised her head and saw that all the boys had been placed in the other end of the second row or in the first row. It was obvious that they were avoiding Setanta and Sahazel.

Her lips curled and she mocked them "It looks like you made a place for yourselves on the first day".

Setanta only shrugged and Sahazel did not react as usual.

Fleur was irritated when she saw his lack of reaction.

"Aren't you afraid not to make friends?" She asked curiously.

"Friends are not funny, it is too easy to see when they are going to betray you" Sahazel replied with a flat voice "Brothers are better, you can have a lot of fun with them"

"For us there are no friends" explained Setanta "They are only people with whom you ally because you share the same goal or because you have something in common".

"What's the difference with brothers?" Fleur asked.

"The brothers don't necessarily have the same goal or a common hobby, maybe at some point you are totally against it for their actions or even hate it to the bone" Setanta gave Sahazel a quick glance before looking at the ceiling as if remembering something "But when you're at your worst and you're in the darkness, a little light appears"

"A little light?"

"Yes, and when that light becomes clear what you find is your brother" Setanta smiled "That brother that you hate, that brother that you swore to kill with your own hands, is that brother that appears when you have lost everything and when all your `friends´ have abandoned you".

A tear fell down Setanta's cheek.

"It is that brother who gives you his hand and takes you out of the darkness to return to the light and when you ask him `Why? ´ he answers `You would do the same for me´'"

Setanta looked at Fleur "Light and shadow, that's a brother."

Fleur's face was covered with tears when she heard Setanta's story. She thought that this animated boy and the silent boy had suffered greatly before arriving here.

"So you two are brothers?" Fleur asked, even knowing the obvious answer.

"Yes," replied Sahazel. "But there's something Setanta has been wrong about."

Setanta sighed, he already knew what he was going to say and it was one of the things that pissed him off most about Sahazel.

"What is it?" Fleur asked curiously.

"Brothers are not always light and shadow" Sahazel opened his eyes and looked at Fleur " Sometimes a brother is only darkness".

Fleur was lost in Sahazel's lifeless black eyes. Though the eyes soon returned to their previous green, Fleur was still stunned.

She whispered unconsciously, "How beautiful"

Sahazel shook slightly and gave her a strange look before closing his eyes again. Setanta was in shock at Fleur's words, he thought the girl was going to be scared like all the normal people looking into Sahazel's dark eyes.

"This is more fun than I thought," Sahazel said with a little excitement in his flat tone.

"Yes, it looks like these years are going to be more interesting than I thought"

Fleur did not understand the strange conversation between the two brothers, but for some reason she felt that it had something to do with her.

"What are you talking about?" she asked with irritation.

Sahazel did not answer but his lips were slightly curved.

Setanta had a big smile on her face.

"Few people say Sahazel's eyes are pretty."

Fleur blushed and looked away. She glanced sidelong at Sahazel but was filled with disappointment when she saw him with his eyes closed.

Setanta shook his head and sighed.

(Once you see Sahazel's eyes and don't feel terror, you have fallen for him completely, aah another flower stolen by this demon)
