The Hunter Academy

Chapter 5 - The tutorial boss is a little better than trash

Atalanta was surprised and quickly stowed the bow.

(What a monster! I pointed my bow at him and his only reaction was a smile. As I thought, these two boys aren´t simple.)

The rest of the students were surprised by Atalanta's actions. The pressure of her bow was no joke, they did not understand how Setanta could smile at this moment.

A strange gleam passed through Fleur's eyes as she saw Setanta's smiling face and Sahazel's expressionless face beside him.

The boys went to the building on the left and the girls went to the building on the right.

The boys went up to the second floor and discovered that there were 5 rooms.

"I´m going to say it now" Ryan started talking once they got to the second floor.

"Everyone from now on is going to call me boss, in return I will treat you well as my subordinates"

The boys were hesitant to listen to Ryan. After all, they were talented young men who had worked hard to get into the Hunter Academy, but Ryan had managed to get to Hunter Academy thanks to the resources his father had given him.

"You should be thankful that the young master is offering to work for him" Austin added wood to the fire.

"That's right, ordinary people like you aren't going to get very far without someone to back you up," Ryan spoke arrogantly.

"Trash" Sahazel said with a flat voice.

"What did you say!" Ryan's face looked dark.

"He only told the truth." Setanta mocked Ryan.

"You-you-you" Ryan lifted his finger and pointed to both boys.

"Come on" Sahazel gestured with his hand and Setanta followed him to the room at the end of the hall.

"Wait!" Austin shouted.

Sahazel stopped but didn't turn around, Austin took it as if he was scared and smiled evilly.

"What right do you have to insult the boss? But it's okay, the boss will forgive you if you kneel before him," Austin said maliciously.

Sahazel didn't move but turned his head a little and looked at Austin through the corner of his eye.

"I will never kneel before anyone, not even God can make me kneel" Sahazel's flat voice reached everyone's ears.

Everyone thought he was bragging, but Austin who had received Sahazel's gaze had his legs shaking. He thought he had entered the last layer of hell just by looking into Sahazel's lifeless eyes.

Setanta sighed, no one knew what he was thinking.

Sahazel withdrew his gaze and resumed his journey to the last room. He spoke as he walked

"A person who's only in the middle phase of level 1 coming from a family with resources, if that's not trash then trash doesn't exist in the world."

Sahazel and Setanta entered the room and disappeared from view. In the corridor there was an uncomfortable silence.

Austin fell to the floor, cold sweat ran down his back.

"I thought I was going to die," Austin sighed.

No one dared look at Ryan's face. Red from anger, he grabbed Austin and dragged him into the first room.

The rest breathed a sigh of relief as they didn't want to offend Ryan and didn't want to join him either. At first they hesitated, but upon hearing Sahazel's words they realized he was right and thanked him mentally.

In the first room.

Ryan threw his suitcase on the floor and started hitting a bed.

"That bastard" Ryan was furious.

He started hitting the bed thinking it was Sahazel's face.

"I'll kill him, I'll kill him, I'll kill him"

After entering the depths of hell, Austin was more cautious toward Sahazel.

"I think we should be careful with those two, we can't make use of our family here."

"Don't worry, there's always a way to deal with him." Ryan smiled cruelly. "You just have to find it."

Inside the last room.

The room was very simple. It had two beds and two wardrobes, each wardrobe and bed was for one person.

Setanta was tidying the clothes in his closets, Sahazel was lying in his bed with his eyes closed.

"Did you really have to scare the little guy like that?" Setanta asked.

"You know how s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e I am to that words," Sahazel answered without emotion.

"But even so, if you had looked at him for another half a second you would have destroyed his mind" Setanta looked him in the face "I'm sure you don't want to attract the attention of those old council members, it wouldn't be fun then"

Sahazel revealed a rare smile " It wouldn't be."

Setanta finished fixing all his clothes in the closet and looked at Sahazel's still closed suitcase.

"Aren't you going to put your clothes in the closet?"

Sahazel didn´t open his eyes and simply made a movement with his hands. The suitcase opened and the clothes flew into the closet.

Inside the closet there were clothes of two different sizes. Sahazel then relaxed his hand.

"Happy?"

A smile appeared on Setanta's face "Of course"

Setanta sat on his bed and didn't say anything. Silence covered the room but it wasn't uncomfortable, it was a strangely warm silence that they were both enjoying. Neither could remember how long it had been since they had had a carefree moment.

Sahazel opened his eyes five minutes later.

"She is coming," he said in a flat voice.

Sahazel and Setanta got up, a gust of wind passed through their uniforms undoing the remaining wrinkles.

Both came out and saw Atalanta leave the elevator. She was surprised to see them coming out but she didn´t think too much about it.

"Come on guys, the girls are waiting for you downstairs" She called the rest of the rooms.

The boys left their rooms. Ryan was furious when he saw Sahazel and Setanta again. He calmed down and a cruel glow went through his eyes.

Setanta raised his eyebrows in amazement.

"It seems that the tutorial boss is a little better than trash, how long do you think it will last before he die?" He didn't bother to suppress his voice and his words were heard by everyone.

"The longer it lasts the better, it may be able to entertain me a bit," answered Sahazel, he also didn't bother to suppress his voice.

Although no one knew they were talking, everyone turned their gaze to Ryan. Ryan had a dark face as he felt he was being mocked.

Atalanta gave them a strange look as she didn't know what was going on. She clapped her hands and cleared her throat.

"Well, less games and more going down the stairs" She headed for the stairs.

She had gone up the elevator because she was wearing high heels and it was uncomfortable to use the stairs, but being in front of her students she had to set an example and go down the stairs.

The rest followed, all except Sahazel and Setanta who went to the elevator. Ryan and Austin quickly followed her, and the others who were already halfway to the stairs gave them an incredulous look.

"The tutor is going down the stairs but you are going to use the elevator, you have little respect for the elders" Ryan took the opportunity to add wood to the fire.

Setanta and Sahazel stopped and looked at them. Setanta wanted to talk but Sahazel stepped forward.

"Are you dumb?" The flat tone made it a serious question instead of a mockery. "If Miss Atalanta committed suicide, would you commit suicide?"

Ryan was furious with the first question but was stunned when he heard the second "No, but...".

"If the tutor had eaten Lv 1 monstrous meat and you could eat Lv 2 meat, would you eat Lv1 meat?"

The question was so obvious that Ryan unconsciously answered again "Lv 2, but..."

The rest also felt that the answer was obvious, Atalanta watched the conversation with interest.

"So, now that you can go up the elevator instead of using the stairs and save energy, are you going down the stairs because the tutor does the same thing? Isn't that what a fool would do?"

Ryan's face turned black and Austin's face turned red. They both wanted to open a hole and bury themselves in it.

"Bast-"Ryan wanted to curse Sahazel, but he was interrupted again.

"Besides, Miss Atalanta looks like she's only 20 years old. Aren't you calling her old when you treat her like she' s an elder?" Sahazel's flat voice made what he was saying was a fact.

Ryan felt a chill when he turned his head and saw Atalanta's dark face.

"Miss Atalanta, I swear it's a misunderstanding!" Ryan tried desperately to justify himself.

"It seems that the punishment I had decided to give you has to be revised," Atalanta said coldly.

"Tut-"

"The girls are waiting for us, you two can go down the stairs" Atalanta interrupted him "Since if I go down with you it would be the same as saying that you are fools, I will go down in the elevator".

Ryan almost threw up blood on hearing Atalanta, Austin on the other hand wanted to cry but had no tears.

(I don't want to use the stairs either!)
