The Heiress

Wearing a red, cold shoulder knee-high dress and a pair of black high-laced heels, Hui Yin trudged down the stairs beautifully. Her hair was now in a messy bun, which she was thankful didn't fall off and expose her when Lyd styled it, that showed her beautiful nape and neckline. The dress made her skin look more alluring to the eyes that it seemed to glow under the light of the chandelier.

"Woah a fairy!"

"that's not a fairy, idiot, it's a princess!!"

"amazinggg!!! she's turned from a pauper to a princess like the story mommy Lyd keeps telling us!"

Comment's made by the children made her blush shamefully. Her clothes were formal enough but it was still a costume in the end.

Finally, she reached the last step and noticed a piercing gaze directed toward her. Meeting it with her own, she came to realize it was Cheng Ming-hua looking at her intently..

She cleared her throat which seemed to swell from embarrassment "I'm sorry Mr. Cheng...these were the only ones available that looked...formal enough for the meeting."

"mmm" he only nodded then directed his gaze elsewhere. Only he knew his thoughts at the moment.

"shall we go to the company now Mr. Cheng?"

They bid their farewells to the family of three they left behind at the orphanage and everybody else. Although Hui Yin never was the type to help out people on the streets, this happening would leave an etch on her heart that would make her do so years later..

It seems that she was the cold-hearted one in reality while Cheng Ming-hua was a man with the facade of coldness.

They arrived at the office by noon and as the owner of the company, Mr. Cheng didn't bother apologizing for making the shareholders wait for a whopping 4 hours. Nevertheless, nobody could voice out their complaints personally...it was very hard to do so in his presence. But seeing a very fairy-like Hui Yin in tow, they tried to butter up to her

"yes indeed! I would date you if not for the fact I have a wife"

"Truly beautiful"

They spewed out comments like drinking water, not noticing that the CEO who was once peacefully quiet now slowly but surely gazed at them coldly.

"Let's start"

The vice-president immediately stood up and took over the presentation. It can be said that once he did, the room was filled with silence, admiring his confidence in front of the CEO.

"And concerning Miss Anna's transfer to another country, all matters have been settled.."

These words rang in Hui Yin's ears like a wake up call

Right...I'm transferring...

Not one person could be seen leaving the room for a potty break, not that they were even permitted to.

"That concludes everything, Mr. Cheng"

Finally a conclusion was made abling the vice-president to state last remarks.

Like a rat scurrying away from a cat, everyone bolted from their seats to the door. No one wants to stay even one more second in the room! Only Cheng Ming-hùa and Hui Yin was left behind...

Endless praise for the vice president reverbrated in the hallways as they walked back to their offices. It was truly a job well done! They still couldn't get over the peircing gaze their CEO gave...ughhh... the thought sent shivers down their spine

The person who'm the praises were directed to, couldn't help but smile proudly. Today, his reverred idol focused on what he said without getting mad! Those peircing gaze of his that they were talking about....ohhh.he felt so great seeing them!

Yes, this person was an undeniable fan of Cheng Ming-hùa.

Throughout the years when he was still an intern, he looked up to this devilish CEO, admiring his wits and intelligence and striving to be like his idol.
