The Heiress

Chapter 3 - The Fateful Meeting

They arrived at a what looked like a large mosoleum. There were pillars surrounding the large building supporting its large walls, sculptures of two lions guarded the entrance of the gates. The exterior design was great but what made Hui Yin's day greater was the interior design of the library. Although it looked grandoise and old in the outside, the high-tech way of transporting the books collectively were amazing. The seats were so soft and comfortable, Hui Yin almost squealed in joy.

After quite some time, she stopped reading and looked at her watch. It was already half past lunch time and she was getting hungry. Indicating that it was time to leave, she stood up and made her was out of the library, knowing that Nanny Zhang will follow her right away.

"Young miss, where do you want to dine for lunch?"

"Hmmm Nanny, let's go to th--oof!" Hui Yin gently wiped off the tears that threatened her eyes as her nose stung from the pain of colliding with someone. The person was wearing a plain white longsleeve paired with a pale yellow vest and tie.

'Who could have been so blind as to not watch where they were going?'

looking up, she faced the accused of her now red nose

Her eyes were met with a cold glare which would send chills to people who saw it.

"what are you glaring at me for?" she frowned while fixing her glasses in place.

Stunned, the boy just looked at her but didn't speak a word. The boy was a sight to behold. He had a jet black hair, a sharp pair of eyebrows which were made to look beautiful with his facial contours. He had deep grey eyes and a lovely chiseled face.

What a beauty..Chao ge-ge, if you were here, you wouldn't even be considered an adonis in front of him..'what am I thinking? I should be angry'

"aiish what a waste of beauty" she muttered

"hmm?"

"shouldn't you be apologizing for bumping into me when clearly, I was walking on the right lane?" she said, her demeanor changed and she emitted an aura of coldness, just like how her dad did when facing other people

"don't wanna?" he countered

"hmmm" both of the glared at each other before Hui Yin gave up. She was really hungry

"okay. Well then, excuse me"

with that Hui Yin calmly left while thinking 'how childish'

Although she walked away, the boy she met stood in place, looking at her with a small smile plastered on his face.

"Young master Cheng, Old master said to hurry"

-end of flashback-

"young miss, we've arrived"

"oh, okay grandpa Mark."

"will you be staying here, young miss?"

"No,I'm just here to get some stuff. I'll be staying at my house there at Golden Heights. It's more convenient since it's nearer."

'And it wouldn't be suspicious that way since I'm using another identity while working.' she thought.

The villa didn't change at all too, huh

"Welcome back, young Miss" all the servants in the villa welcomed her in while helping her with her things.

"Toby, do you have what I asked you to prepare last time? " Hui Yin called out to one of the servants while fluently speaking the english accent

"yes, young Miss Hui" Toby answered while passing her an envelope

"Thank you" she took the envelope and went inside her room. The envelope opened and inside it were her fake credentials, at least some were. Everything was real except her name and her hair color. Her ID now stated:

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Works as: Secretary to the CEO

Company: Cheng Corp.

I guess for now it's good bye Hui Yin, hello Anna Lin.

she smiled at the thought.
