The God's Throne

Sun was hovering in the sky, shimmering light upon every being. To the individuals of the spirit realm, the sun was not only a source of light and heat but also an incredible resource for training. It also benefited beasts, similar to the one Eria was currently spying on.

It was a Solar Ape - a second rank magical beast. It was brazenly standing outside of its cave, facing the sun with its red skin. Absorbing the sunlight was the path to advance its strength and intelligence, so it stayed there for a sunbath with a relaxed expression.

However, it was peculiar that it looked around with intelligence glimpse, showing that it was aware of its environment. Most of the second rank beast wouldn't show intelligence at its level.

Although the solar ape had recently entered the second rank, it was still a Rank A magical beast. However, this was an opportunity; if he were to bring its body parts, it would provide him with immense resources.

Eria was currently underneath a leafy bush, entangled with numerous vines, and scrubs. Although moving his body was difficult, it satisfied the purpose of hiding him, so he hid there with conviction.

"Thump, Thump"

Although he tried to calm himself, he wasn't able to do a good job. It wasn't because of fear instead of excitement. Without noticing any notion of danger, Eria sheathed his sword and used speed dash.

As he was about to use Fire Arrow, the Solar Ape's flushed eyes suddenly flashed right before Eria. Detecting a sense of death, Eria retreated. The solar Ape knew about his presence but waited for Eria to make a move; he felt like he was trick into a trap.

Golden fire suddenly surged through the beast's eyes and towered towards Eria. With a flash of a movement, Eria disappeared from his original spot and appeared hundreds of meters away, which was filled with vines and trees. In terms of speed, Eria was faster than any elite knights or second rank magical beast.

His comprehension of mana had allowed him to use the god level technique- Speed dash.

"Solar Ape king!" Eria couldn't help but grunt in disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e. How come he was always so unlucky? Did the world hate him or something? Encountering king of a beast race was, without a doubt, unfortunate.

Although Eria could run away, he didn't do so. Although it was dangerous, he decided to test his newfound power against this beast. Slashing the deadly vines blocking his view, he saw the creature rushed towards him unparallel madness. Result of its anger, golden flame surrounded the beast; burning anything in contact with it.

"Come!" Without caring for his life, Eria chopped his sword towards the ape. A burst of fire injected out of the sword; however, once it came in contact with the golden flame, it disappeared. It couldn't even scratch the surface of the ape's skin.

"lightning buzz!"

Surrounding himself in lightning, Eria disappeared from his spot. He reappeared behind the ape and thrust his sword towards the ape.

"Friendly lightning!"

Fire and lightning danced across the sword and penetrated through the golden flame. The swords went further towards the heart, but it stopped as soon as it came in contact with the ribs.

The ape let out a furious howl and punched Eria in the torso. Eria soared the air and was stopped by a large mountain. Fresh blood leaked from his mouth, but he paid no heed.

He clashed against it with more brute power, but all that resulted in was more wounds. However, his body was quick to recover as it only took a few seconds to heal external wounds. As more hot blood splashed across his face, the more excited he became.

If a mage were to see him in such a situation, they would think of him as a lunatic. No mage would fight with a sword against a magical beast; they would instead use staff and focus on mid-range attack. It was because that was the mage fought from ancient times.

Nevertheless, Eria was a special breed. After a few minutes, the fight left him exhausted.

"It's not sharp enough!" Eria realized the problem as the fight was about to end. He had to use a sword technique rather than a fire technique. Sword attacks mostly used spiritual energy controlled by the knights, but Eria was able to use mana for a similar effect.

Mana was gentle, and spiritual energy was berserk, but he could alter their properties with his origin cultivation technique. This raised the power of his attack and gave him the confidence to face the beast head-on.

"Sword art- Thousand qi, one true king" Eria decided to use a Rank S sword art; he had bought it in the academy.

"Rowr"

Both individuals: one beast, one human, used their final attack. Thousands of sword beam charged towards the violent golden flames. The small beams slid past the blaze of fire and collided with the red skin; however, most of them stopped.

"Swoosh!"

However, one sword ray grouped all the mana around the sword qi. The sword ray shot past the skin, punctured through the ribs and pierced through the heart of the creature.

Although its heart was pierced, the beast used its flame to engulfed Eria's in a dangerous situation. Soon after, the ape let out its final roar, and finally lost the color of its face.

Although the danger was gone, Eria wasn't in good condition. His outer body was permeated with black skin of his own. If it were an average person, screaming in pain would be the only action he or she would take. However, Eria wasn't a normal person.

While the scorned skin tensed entire muscles, he didn't let out a sound. He took out the golden lightning crystal and absorbed it. The energy turned into a gentle stream of mana and healed his body bit by bit.

However, it couldn't heal him entirely, so he brought the beast's corpse inside its cave to store it. HE plundered the cave soon after. He was sure that the attention of the magical creatures would soon drift towards his way, so he ran away with delight.

However, as he was heading towards the outer edge of the forest, a childish voice suddenly entered his ear. " Brother, do I kill him in one shot or do you wanna have fun."

Eria looked around to find the owner but there was none.

"Who is there?" Eria yelled while looking at the ground. However, to answer him, a playful voice sounded, " Mia, it seems that this is no ordinary human. Let's have fun with him."

"Imps!" Raising his head, Eria glanced upon the sky. Although he couldn't see anything, he was sure that some creature was there.

"If you wanna have fun, why don't I enjoy your company?" Eria snickered while firing a sword attack towards the sky.
