Eric did not retort. If it wasn't for him leaving, then none of this could have happened. After the conversation, the atmosphere got warmer, and they talked like the old times.

They already finished eating but did not leave their seat. Eric talked about his life overseas and how he missed her. He told her that he regretted refusing her offer back then and that he will make it up to her.

They left the restaurant and was just about to go to the car when Samantha spotted a familiar figure. Samantha saw Alex leaning on the glass of the restaurant. There were guards behind him that prevent the people from coming any closer.
