Alex furrowed his brows. He never thought that her answer would be so different from what he thought.

'Her son?'

Alex became serious when he heard that. He immediately texted an unknown number.

[Need your help finding someone.]

After a few seconds, there was a reply: [I never thought that the great Alex would need my help.]

[Shut up and help me find a boy.]

[name?]

[Samuel Brooks.]

[Give me five minutes.]

Irene came out and invited the two of them in the house. Irene served Alex some water which he gratefully accepted.

Irene told them about what Samuel's teacher told them, and Samantha listened carefully. Alex was distracted, and his thoughts were in other places. His phone rang and looked at the message.

[Found him. His in a house beside the playground 1 kilometer from his school. I'll text you the address.]

[Thanks, Z. I will send you the money shortly.]

[No need, A. That kid and her mother have some relations with me.]

Alex did not know what that meant, but he was grateful. He cut off Irene, who was talking and said: "Found him."

Samantha and Irene looked at Alex with shocked expressions. They never thought that Alex would be so fast as to find Samuel in less than five minutes.

"Where is he?!?" Samantha asked Alex hurriedly.

"Come with me," Alex said before leaving the house and heading towards the car. Irene and Samantha hurriedly followed. Irene was not worried about being robbed because the whole block was under her parents' company, and she was the only one living there yet.

They entered Alex's car, and the assistant drove towards the house, and Samantha hurriedly went towards the door and knocked on it forcefully. The door opened, and it was a boy with blue eyes and blonde hair. It looked like he was having fun. The boy looked at Samantha and said excitedly: "Mommy."

Samantha hugged the boy and cried: "My baby, I thought you were gonna leave me."

The boy looked cute, but his expression was m.a.t.u.r.e. He c.a.r.e.s.sed Samantha's face and hugged her before saying: "I am never gonna leave you, Mommy. I'm sorry that I did not ask for permission. It's just that uncle said I can play in his house. Auntie Irene only let me play kids' game."

'Uncle?' Samantha thought. She asked: "Who's the uncle your talking about?"

"Uncle Jason. He said he's my uncle and I should go with him. His hair is the same as mine, and we have been playing games. He let me play the games you play when you were in Auntie's house. He gave me some food and clothes." Samuel acted like a kid again when talking about Jason.

'Jason?!?' Alex was standing behind Samantha and wondered who it was when he heard the name. It was like thunder in his head.

A blonde man was on the other side of the door. He was crying inside.

'Nephew, please don't kill me.'

He wanted to answer the door, but he saw the car model and knew for sure that he was not gonna go home alive.

Alex entered the house and saw Jason standing behind the door. He calmly said: "Tomorrow, report to me in the office."

Jason was crying on the inside. He wanted to spend some time with his nephew and forgot to ask Irene or Samantha, and now, his two months of leave vanished like a flame in the wind.

"Yes, boss," Jason said. Samantha went inside the house and saw Alex talking to Jason. She saw Jason's legs were about to give in and become jelly. She felt like she deserved it.

Then, a childish voice rang in front of Alex: "Please don't hurt Uncle Jason."

Alex looked down and saw Samuel looking at him with a pleading look. He just couldn't say no with that cute expression. He bent down and patted the kid's head and said gently: "Your Uncle Jason forgot to ask permission and should be punished."
