The Daring CEO's Innocent Wife

Samantha chatted with Irene while eating. They finished when Irene is about to pick up Samuel from school. Samantha and Alex played games again. It was when it was so dark outside that Alex stood up, ready to leave.

"Umm, can you stay here with me?" Samantha's voice rang behind him. He looked behind him and saw Samantha covering her face. She was scared of the dark, and although there is light inside, the outside is pure darkness.

"Okay." Alex went towards the wardrobe. Samantha has not yet opened the closet, and she was greeted with clothes of men and women. It looks like Alex came prepared for this.

Samantha's face became red when she thought about it. She focused on the T.V and started to play again. She vented her embarrassment in the game by killing orcs, and goblins.

Alex took a shirt and some shorts to use and wore it right there on the spot. He doesn't mind if Samantha takes a peek. After dressing, he sat beside Samantha and took a controller.

Samantha did not look at Alex anymore and just continued playing. They played until Samantha felt sleepy. Samantha stood up and yawned before rushing towards the bathroom. The biting cold penetrated her skin.

After going to the bathroom, she ran again towards the bubble house while gritting her teeth

'Too cold.' Samantha thought.

Samantha entered the house and saw Alex in bed. She gritted her teeth and laid down beside him. Samantha's clothes were still from the airplane because wearing a nightie at a cold place like this and at a house which anyone can see from the outside is inappropriate.

Alex was on his phone and Samantha took the comforter and covered her body with it since even though the house has a heater, it was still somewhat cold.

Samantha was looking at the sky and saw the Aurora Borealis. It was never in her dream to go here, but when she saw the aurora, it feels like everything was worth it. This was the only time in her life where there was no one nagging or hurting her.

There were times when Ronald was drunk that when he was smoking, he will release the smoke on her face. There were even times that Jessica would splash her face with water just to wake her up.

Samantha closed her eyes and felt the peacefulness and fell asleep. Alex looked at her face and closed his eyes too.

After one hour, Samantha opened her eyes and heard her phone ringing nonstop. She looked at her phone and saw that it was midnight here. Samantha picked up the phone and asked sleepily: "Yes?"

Irene's sobbing voice sounded: "Samantha, Samuel is missing."

Those three words made Samantha completely awake. She started to panic: "Is he not in school?"

Irene's sobbing voice sounded again: "No, the teacher said that Samuel was taken by a man. They introduced themselves as his uncle."

Samantha started to break down. She cried and woke Alex up. When he saw her crying, he stood up and patted Samantha's back: "What's wrong?"

Samantha looked at Alex and said: "Can we postpone the five days? My baby is missing."
