Samantha closed her eyes and fell asleep. Alex glanced at her before putting the car in self-driving mode and set the location of their destination.

He looked at Samantha's innocent face and put his left hand on her right cheek. He remembered the time he got this close to her face was when they were in high school, and Alex witnessed her sleeping under a tree.

Samantha was crying before and fell asleep. Around her eyes were evidence of crying. Alex clenched his fists when he saw the frail-looking girl and swore to himself that he would protect her, and that was when Samantha started to take place in his heart.

Alex removed the hair from Samantha's face and moved his face nearer to Samantha's face. He was about to kiss her lips when suddenly.

"Mmhm." Samantha yawned and opened her eyes. Alex, for the first time in his life, felt panicked. He quickly disabled the self-driving mode and acted naturally. He took a glance at Samantha and saw that her eyes closed, and she fell asleep again.

Alex sighed in relief and drove to the destination without any more hassle. When they were nearing the destination, Alex opened his phone and texted his younger brother, Jason.

[Is it ready?] he texted without even looking at his phone. After a few seconds, his phone vibrated, and Alex put the car in self-driving mode again.

[Yes, I already booked the whole restaurant and made the entire restaurant look like a cinema. Fighting!!!]

Alex did not know what that means, but he did not ask. He did not want to be laughed at by his siblings for not knowing his own generation's term. He then parked the car at the front of a restaurant. Samantha felt the car stop and opened her eyes. She yawned and stretched her hands when her hand touched something.

She was still muddleheaded and checked at what she touched and saw a face covered by her hand. Samantha took a few seconds to dig in the new information before she pulled her hand and panicked.

'I put my hand on Alex's face,' Samantha said to herself.

'I'm so dead.' Samantha wanted to cry.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Walton," Samantha said to Alex. Samantha felt a tense atmosphere and had a hard time breathing.

"Call me Alex." then all the tense atmosphere vanished. Alex got out of the car and opened the door for Samantha. He put out his hand, signaling Samantha to put out her hand. Samantha put her hand in Alex's hand, and she felt warm and safe, like all her problems are gone.

Alex took out a blindfold from her pocket and made Samantha ptr it on. Samantha felt her heart beating wildly. She put on the blindfold and wondered what will Alex surprise her. She was wondering if it was dinner first or the movie first.

Then, while walking, Samantha was thinking about certain things that make her heart beat faster and faster.

Is this still the same Devil who was once reported to be straightforward, serious, and boring?

Is Alex really in love with me?
