The Commoner Consort: The Country's Respected Empress

Sarah shakes her head hearing Maya's confident squeal and sits on a chair bedside her tiredly. She holds her head in worry "Jesus Christ! Look at her! She is so over confident! ".

Maya rolls her eyes and pats Sarah's shoulder ensuring "As long as I am alive, I can defeat anyone, Sarah. You just have to worry about the person who will be opposing me. Because there is nothing truly matters for me when it comes to my life ".

Sarah looks at Maya's confident face blankly and lets out a sigh. She tries to persuade her "I know you have some skills in defending yourself,  Maya. But you can't fight several people alone and you know that! Didn't you get that harsh cut in your hand just because of your over confidence?!"

Maya corrects her "Self esteem-".

Sarah cries inaudibly "You could have told who you are! But no! What did you do?! Fought with him and got imprisoned and was almost killed by that General Stephen! Why can't you just acknowledge your status and lead a peaceful life?! Just like today! I heard about your words in the Imperial Court.  Don't you think everything is destined? !".

Maya closes her ears and declares "I do not want to hear an another word about this matter, Sarah. Stop manipulating my clear mind!".

Sarah looks at her darkly "Jesus Christ!  Look at your face! As if I am the one instigating you... you are the one instigating against yourself! I am just pointing that for you".

After helping Maya to dress , Sarah smiles satisfied. Finally she makes Maya to wear her gloves and claps her hands excitedly "You are ready to go!".

Maya smiles amused  noticing Sarah "You clapped exactly like that Princess girl!".

Sarah smiles "It's one of our etiquettes or way of doing things elegantly. You will be used to all of this in no time with your learning speed".

Maya shrugs and frowns seeing her gown "Why is it...weighing lesser than the normal ones?".

Sarah rolls her eyes "At last you noticed! You are not coming with us".

Maya diverts her attention from the gown to her "What?".

Sarah shakes her head carelessly "As if she is scared".

She smirks thinking 'Weren't you talking smugly? See how I make you scare!'.

Maya walks in front of Sarah and asks in alert "Why would you not accompany me?".

Sarah answers with a sweet smile "His Highness will escort you personally to the Pavilion, Your Highness".

Maya looks at Sarah dumbfounded and she starts getting frightened hear 'His Highness'.

'His Highness?! Is she referring Prince Xavier or Him? Prince Xavier himself told me that he would be escorting me back! Now why is confusing me? What if that man purposely escorting me? Would he truly be escorting me?'.

She gulps at the thought and asks with a worried smile finding some hope "He would be Prince Xavier, wouldn't he? The person escorting me?".

Sarah walks towards the c.h.e.s.t to keep the folded clothes back and asks "Why would Prince Xavier escort Madam when Her husband is in The Royal Palace?"

Maya opens her mouth but goes speechless for a moment and asks frowning "Why are you suddenly calling me as Madam? Will you not help me? I do not want to go with him!".

Sarah almost laughed hearing Maya's panic filled voice and clears her throat carelessly "This servant will leave now. I will be waiting outside till Madam arrives".

Maya looks at Sarah who already walked to the door, in disbelief "Seriously?!".

THUD

Seeing the closed door Maya exhales a frustrated breath. She recalls the incident happened last night and bites her lip 'He would not leave me this time! Is he a human? He did not care about the fact that I almost lost my life! Instead he asked why I am still alive!! I have never seen someone heartless like him! Both siblings are heartless for sure'.

She clutches her fist hard and looks outside the window of her chamber. She purses her lips worriedly 'Even I escape from here, how long I could go? This is The Imperial City! I wonder …would I even able to sneak out of the Palace successfully? If it were the Countryside Pavilion, it's still doubt that I could escape without knowing anyone…Maya! Stop fearing that human!'.

She opens her eyes wide in sudden 'enlightenment' and laughs "Why am I fearing a mere human?! It's strange that he intimidates me! Maya… If he tries to harm you this time, just do not think of anything and kill that man! Wait! Why am I turning into a murderer?! I did kill that Stephen man but it was not on purpose.. I couldn't control my powers. Now I cannot believe that I am planning to kill a person in prior as if I am a conspirator! Is it because of my fear?! Just why do I fear him so much?!'.

"His Highness has arrived and requests Madam's permission to enter the chamber".

Maya turns instantly in horror and looks at Sarah smiling after announcing.

Sarah opens the door broadly and bows respectfully.

Maya's heart leaps in ecstasy seeing Xavier at the doorstep.

PHEW!!!

She lets out an audible sigh in relief without minding anything. She looks at Sarah darkly.

'The nerve of this girl!. She did this on sole purpose to scare me, didn't she?!'.

"My Lady?".

Xavier's voice reminded Maya that someone is waiting for her at doorstep and she walks towards him happily.

The Royal Stable.

Xavier made Maya to wait outside the barn and went inside to find a suitable horse for her to ride.

"You can enter now, My Lady".

Hearing his distant sound from the stable, Maya enters only to get speechless seeing the number horses have been raised by the Royal Palace.

She looks Xavier in wonder as he was c.a.r.e.s.sing and feeding a black horse which looked gigantic. Fear creeped in Maya's heart as she has never seen a horse this close.

Maya "...".

'This horse is not cute like Charles! I only want my Charlie!'.

It's weird and surely audacious that she suddenly claimed Charles as Her Charlie!
