Maya continues enjoying the man's panicking face "And about the evidence... Wouldn't the final edict enough to prove your betrayal?".

Everyone looks at each other in astonishment and Xavier looks at the edict in his hand strangely now.

'Evidence?! How could this edict be an evidence? Would she ever talk straight?!'.

Maya is in ecstasy creating this drama, until she caught a glimpse of Kalki glaring back at her.

She averts her eyes instantly and clears her throat inaudibly 'If I keep on continuing this drama, then this man would imprison me! Enough of your play Maya!'.

Bhommi giggles "He hee! Look at you Sister Maya! You are still afraid of that man!!".

Maya frowns 'Do not appear in front of me till I end this!'.

SWOOSH!

She sighs seeing Bhommi disappeared and raises her eyebrows enlightened 'That's how I could control her presence?!'.

She gets astonished at herself proudly and blinks looking around 'Huh..Where was I-'.

She gulps seeing everyone watching her in anticipation. She looks at Xavier too frowning and purses her lips.

The man walks from the crowd stumbling and laughs suddenly mocking her "Ha! Look at her! She is definitely gone insane!" and speaks looking at Kalki "I beg your mercy, Your Highness! But I can't take this anymore! A mere commoner! How can she instigate against me? What does she know about our country?!".

Xavier grunts grabbing his sword  "Mind your words, Sir!".

Kalki raises his hand towards Xavier and looks at Maya sternly.

Xavier gets irked by Kalki's gesture and stomps his foot frustrated in helplessness.

The man smiles seeing Kalki's reaction and encourages himself as if Kalki too is on his side. He announces looking around the crowd "Everyone! Did you see this commoner?! A mere girl from other land is accusing me as if I am a betrayer! Don't you think we have to teach her a lesson-".

Maya smiles sweetly "How about I teach you something, Brainless man?".

'Now you took the bait by those audacious sentences! Why would I drag this drama for this long?! Unless I wanted you to spill out those words from your heart!'.

The man grunts "How audacious! How dare you!".

Maya raises her right eyebrow in complete authority "Now you are accused for disrespecting your Queen, Sir! And I demand an explanation for your plan in misleading the people to revolt against the reign!".

The man stands dumbfounded and gulps looking at Kalki.

'How did I end up here?! Why did I lose my mind?! What would happen to me now?!'. 

Maya smirks 'If you think you are good at manipulating, then I am The Empress of Manipulation! Poor thing! I wish he won't be dead for this crime!'

She is well aware of the punishment for disrespecting her by now.

'If you have even a little knowledge about something and you are confident on yourself, then take advantage of it completely!'.

THUD!!

The man kneels before Maya and shivers "Madam! I beg your forgiveness!-".

Maya takes a deep breath and mocks "Not before my explanation, Sir! It would be unjust if you are punished before knowing the 'proper' reason!".

She stresses the words proper deliberately.

The man opens his eyes in enlighten 'That-That was my mistake! The word I used! She is deliberately doing this just because I asked her the PROPER reason!! She is...'.

He looks at Maya in horror as he never imagined a commoner would be so witty and even manipulative!

Maya bows in front of everyone and starts speaking "The edict says that the land from the people would be used to build the dam and in return they would get employed under Royal as servants?!".

After taking a look at Xavier for a second, she looks at the man kneeling before her and asks pitifully "You are a Royal member, representing the Countryside Village. Despite having so much privileges , do you like kneeling in front of me like a servant?".

The man went speechless seeing her sudden kindness filled voice and look.

'Who would like to be a servant-?'.

He gasps in astonishment finally understanding her words and it's hidden meaning.

Xavier is still confused about her words. He felt like he started to understand something at first but everything went over his head later.

Kalki smirks 'This girl is not an illiterate, is she?'.

Maya forwards her hand towards the man "A representative should represent the thoughts of the people, instead of acting on his own".

DEAD SILENCE IN THE IMPERIAL COURT!

The entire place is filled with silence as if the world would end in few moments. Subconsciously everyone already stood in shock.

The man looks at Maya's hand in trance 'No Queen has ever offered her hand to any person even if they belong to Royalty! Is it because the Royal Princes never married a commoner before?! Would our other Queens have been this kind for us, if they were commoners?! Is she unaware of the etiquettes or is she really kind?!'.

Kalki clutches his fist seeing her forwarding her hand towards a stranger.

Maya kneels down and holds his hand.

Today ever since Maya started speaking, no one could believe that these were happening in front their eyes.

They couldn't help wonder suspiciously whether she is really a commoner. Looking at her charisma and audacity, she looked no less than a Queen!.

Maya helps the man to stand and asks looking around everyone "Everyone in the room belong to Royalty. You have everything you ever needed. But the people of the village only have their land for their survival".

She smiles recalling something and speaks slowly "Once I talked to an old man in the Countryside Village. Despite the famine and the draught killing him in that old age, he was very proud to say that he has a small piece of land belonged to him! Would that old man who paid taxes to the Royalty for his entire life be happy if you snatch his own land and make him your servant?!".
