The Commoner Consort: The Country's Respected Empress

Maya looks at Sarah in disbelief.

'Is she smiling about this fact?! Such an idiot! What does she think?! If she didn't believe in Curse that doesn't mean it doesn't exist!! I swear I will smack this girl till she ...Forget it... Let's lock this door...again.. She might not believe...But I know more about these chores..'.

Maya holds the lock to lock it again. She frowns feeling something and looks at her hand.

Ah!!

Maya falls back while trying to step back. She shook her hand again and again as if something cold held her hand.

Sarah immediately helps Maya "What happened?!".

Maya holds her palms close against her c.h.e.s.t and stares at the door strangely.

'It can't be... Did I..do something....dangerous?!'.

Maya feels the coldness on her hand still and gulps hard.

She remembers something and stands immediately. She holds Sarah's hand and orders "Bring me a new lock! Now! Hurry!".

Sarah blinks but nods before running from the place.

'May be she is scared and want to lock it back?'.

Without wasting even a second Maya places her palm on the door. She tries to keep the broken lock in place and hold it locked till Sarah comes with a new lock.

She starts reciting random words in fear 'This door should not be opened!'. She was frowning as if it was hard for her to hold the door. Even though it looked lock Maya felt some overwhelming force under her hand.

She felt something firmly holding her hand as if it pulled her towards the door yet an another strong force pushing her.

SLAM! SLAM! SLAM!

Suddenly loud banging sounds pierced into the silent surroundings.

Maya shivers hearing the sudden sound yet didn't dare to let the door get opened.

Maya places her other hand against the door and bites her lip in shame.

'You are such a stupid! You fell for your temptation again!!'.

Maya felt her feet slipping back as the door was moving towards her. Maya stomps her foot hard on the ground to hold strong. She couldn't process what's happening around her and did not even notice some other thing.

A fog of mist was watching everything from far away. She doesn't know she was being watched ever since she stepped out from her chamber.

Maya creases her eyebrows hard as she could feel herself going week in the process of withholding such a strong energy "You are all bloodthirsty, aren't you?! I will never allow you to come back!".

A hurl of wind surrounds the place to make it worse and Maya is determined to not leave the door to get unlocked. No matter what happens. She does not want to fall in any trouble again. As if she didn't do before.

'I have heard many scary tales about these Spirits who died unjustly. I don't want to create anything dangerous now! I have created enough already!'.

Maya again feels the chilly feeling in her hand again which made her to freeze in shock and disgust!.

She never likes cold...cold things..cold climate..even cold person! And this touch was really making her blood chilled.

Maya knows that she can't bear this for long. She would have handled anything when it could be seen. How can someone fight with a thing they can't see?!.

Maya kneels down suddenly but still holding the broken lock in place.

"Maya!".

Hearing Sarah's voice, Maya closes her eyes in relief.

"Finally!".

Sarah kneel to help Maya as she didn't expect Maya to be kneeling weakly. 

Maya pushes her lightly and gasps "L-Lock it!".

Sarah does whatever she was asked to do. She locks the door and yells holding Maya "Why is it suddenly so windy here?".

SILENCE!

Immediately the surroundings turned normal as if nothing happened before. 

Sarah gets astonished and whispers in shock "How could this be possible?! Just now...It was-".

Maya shakes her head and sighs "Let's leave from here. You were right. This place is not suitable for children".

Seeing Maya covered in cold sweats, Sarah helps Maya to get back to her chamber.

Maya was still in deep thoughts or she was disturbed by whatever happened outside  the secret room.

Sarah remains silent till Maya gets bath and has her breakfast. She didn't want to worry her. She feels guilty seeing her so silent.

'I should have told her before taking her to that horrific place! What if she punishes me?!'.

She patiently waits for a peaceful moment to talk about that incident with Maya.

The Entrance of the Countryside Pavilion.

"The Official of The Imperial Court has arrived! Open the gates!".

The guard of the Pavilion gets startled by the sudden announcement and immediately bows "Forgive this servant Sire. We are ordered to not allow anyone inside the Pavilion! It's Emperor's personal edict! It mentioned to ensure Our Queen's safety! At any cost!".

A man climbs down from his horse languidly and stands before the servant strictly. As if challenging him to block his way for even few more seconds.

"Very well then! Ask your Queen to invite her guest personally!".

GASP!

The servant gasps 'Asking A Queen to invite An Official?! Coming from her place to the Entrance?!'.

The man smirks "She is a mere commoner refugee, isn't she?! Ask her to welcome her guests personally! ".

HA HA HAAA!

Several people who accompanied the Official starts laughing in disdain.

"Ma'am! The Officials from Imperial Court has arrived and seeking for Your Highness's presence to welcome them!".

Maya w.h.i.n.es mentally staring at Robin who stood still after informing the news.

'They won't allow me sit in peace for few minutes! Now what they are upto?!'.

She looks at Sarah and asks "Can anyone search my room? Without my consent? ".

Sarah shakes her head "No Ma'am. No one can't enter even inside your Pavilion without your consent ".

Maya frowns 'Then why can't I just chase them away without even allowing them to enter?! But that would hit their 'ego'! I should handle this in a peaceful way. I will allow them now but won't allow them into my chamber!'.
