The Commoner Consort: The Country's Respected Empress

Xavier sat before a man who looked almost in his 50's.

The man bows slightly "My sincere apologies Your Highness!".

Xavier smirks "Is this your stand in this war Your Highness?'.

The man remains silent for a minute and speaks "I beg your mercy Your Highness! We can't even think against The Crown Prince! He has been quite brutal in the recent wars and I just want to be in his good side. You should remember this too.. instead of asking to wage a war against The Crown Prince Kalki!".

Xavier frowns in disgust and stands slowly. He smirks "Hope you chose the right side Sir. Now please don't hang your head down before this Prince. Save it for the future Emperor!".

Xavier makes the man to stand. He holds the man's shoulder and pats lightly "I wish to see your beautiful country real soon!".

Xavier leaves the place at once after throwing those words. He walks out of the Palace leaving the startled man shiver in Xavier's cold voice.

Xavier hops on Charles and fled out fast wasting no time.

CHARLES NEIGHS LOUDLY.

The sound of horse's w.h.i.n.e made everyone watch the event curiously.

The old man looks at Xavier "Is this happening for real?".

Xavier's face was cold after having the conversation with the man.

He rides through the streets of The Southern Country. The man he just met before was the King of the country.

Xavier crosses the dense cities as fast as wind and slows down after the forests starts to appear.

He pats Charles and lets him to walk slowly as he rode very fast. He starts to play the conversation again in his mind.

"Long live Prince Xavier!".

Out of nowhere Victor appears from the forest. But Xavier isn't surprised by his appearance as if he was aware of his presence already.

Victor asks "What was their response Your Highness?".

Xavier just nods and speaks sternly "They didn't agree Victor. But keep an eye on them. May be they were aware of the trap".

Victor nods "I understand Your Highness. I received a message that Lady Maya has returned the Countryside Pavilion".

Xavier notices Victor thinking something seriously and asks "What is it Victor?".

Victor speaks "The servants mistook Lady Maya as a servant and locked her in the Penalty Room".

Xavier raises his eyebrows surprised and waits for Victor to continue.

Victor speaks "When they found and went to release her, The General Stephen was found dead and Lady Maya unconscious".

Xavier looks at Victor and tilts his head suspiciously "So..Did she?".

Victor frowns thinking "I ordered not to question Lady Maya for time being. She has been treated by the doctors. Everyone is watching her moves closely. I even heard she had fought with Christopher".

Xavier chuckles "I just received the news about her return to the Pavilion but why were the details missed out for me? I think I should change the person who informs me!".

Victor bows "I beg your forgiveness. I would ensure this won't happen in future".

Xavier nods "Good".

Victor asks "Where were you this afternoon Your Highness? I heard the King of the Southern Country waited for you for few hours".

Xavier's eyes turned warm remembering the girl he met this morning.

He smiles "I had an emergency situation" to send the beautiful lady far from me....

He sighs 'I wish....'.

He lets the sentence incomplete as he knows that she would have left his country already.

Victor bows "Then this servant will be leaving".

Xavier nods and Victor fled into the forest in his horse.

The Royal Palace.

The Emperor looks at the message received from the Countryside Pavilion.

He was so glad that Maya was alive and alright. If he was fine, he would have visited her personally instead of calling her back to The Imperial City.

A personal servant reads the message.

'I pray for Emperor's good health and long life. I was informed that Emperor has some health problems. I wish the Father of this nation gets fine and takes care of the situation. I am aware of the draught in the country and request the Emperor to be rest assured of my situation. If Father is worried about me, then I am recovering now. I was informed that Father has issued an edict to bring me at once. I request Father to let me be here for few more days. Please allow this daughter to recuperate mentally.

I hope Father understands this daughter who is new to this place. I also wanted to tell everything about the incidents happened. I request Father to release the woman and the children who are innocents as they are commoners brought by me personally. I promised to give them a better place and life in the name of the Emperor. As far as the night, I saw someone entering my chamber. I don't remember anything after that. Next day I was in a village and some woman warrior of Father helped me to get back to The Pavilion. About the Stephen..I again saw someone entering the Penalty Room before losing my conscious. I request Father to find the right person behind this conspiracy instead of punishing the innocents. Underestimating an innocent can stir some storm at this moment Father. No one can understand better than Father. Revolts can be unstoppable in the absence of The Crown Prince if commoners are punished unreasonably. Long live Emperor!'.

The Emperor looks at the servant and asks in shock "Did she write those lines?!".

The servant bows "Some servant has written the for Madam Your Highness. There is the sign that a servant wrote for Madam".

The Emperor smirks "This child is witty.. Exactly like her father..".

He waves his hand and speaks "Do as she mentioned. Ask Victor to appoint someone to find who is the real person behind this conspiracy!".

Maya stands before the small brook which she saw before. She left Celina behind so that she handles the 'situation' for her in the Countryside Pavilion.

She smirks 'If you don't want them to know the truth..... Just confuse them!'.
