"Won't you tell Xi Ana about this?"

"Not now. Once I've settled the matter about my Eldest Uncle I would bring her to meet Samantha, right now is a critical time for Samantha and I don't want other people to use her against me."

It is not rare for powerful families to have their fair share of internal conflicts, despite the facade they are showing the public in reality they are surely at each others' throats and the Lim's are not an exemption to that.

His eldest uncle has always been eyeing the position of CEO for a long period of time, since he is the eldest child of Elder Lim he believed that someday everything will fall into his hands. Lim Qiming waited patiently but what shocked him was when his father suddenly announced on the 20th birthday of his younger brother that he will be taking over the company.

This thing infuriated Lim Qiming and ever since then he had always harbored ill intentions towards his brother, Lim Yi Bai which is the father of Lim Yi Sheng and Lim Shinyi. He was a very cunning and ruthless businessman, he never showed any emotion. Not in front of his wife, nor his children much more to other people. Everyone is afraid of even talking to him. Although his life was short lived, the legacy he left in the company was very remarkable.

When Lim Yi Sheng was 10 years old his father died of helicopter crash, which crashed in the middle of Pacific Ocean and unfortunately his body was never found. Lim Qiming was the only one happy of this tragic incident and Lim Yi Sheng suspected that he has put his hand on it but until now there was never a lead that indicates his assumption as true.

"I heard your Lim Qiming seems to be making his moves now, his connection to the dirtiest part of the underground society is so deep that even us cannot fully reach."

There are three layers of the underground society: the Crust, Mantle, and the Core. The two of them were very well known in this world but they never tried to enter the Core not because they don't have the capabilities but because it is too dirty that they cannot stomach being a part of it.

"I know. He's becoming more and more aggressive these past few weeks that I have to double the guards protecting mother, Shinyi, and Ana."

"His frustrations must have reached his limits after all he was robbed of the position of being the head of Lim Group twice. By the way, I noticed that aside from your body guards there are still more people protecting Xi Ana on the sidelines ever since she got into an accident."

Lim Yi Sheng also noticed it and also based from the reports that his subordinates submitted. "They are Li Jingli's subordinates." they were all wearing the Li Family crest that is why he knew and aside from Li Jingli who would be so daring as to send their subordinates in a different city to keep guard of someone if not for him.

"Li Jingli? Isn't that the famous happy-go-lucky young master of City M? How was she related to him?" it is the first time that Lu Nai He heard that Xi Ana was connected to that playful young master.

Li Jingli was very well known because of his personality, what common folks knew about him is that he is only playing around and there was no one who knew exactly what he really does since he's not inheriting their company.

"I don't know the specifics but they seem to know each other from overseas and they've been friends from then on, I tried to investigate to know more about it but to no avail. Though, I wasn't surprised at all."

The moment he married Xi Ana he's been constantly doubting his capabilities because it's very hard to attain information about her and her friends, he's always meeting a dead end whenever he tries to do anything.

But because of the restrictions on information about them he knew that there is something more about them, something that cannot be known to the world as for it is, he doesn't have any clue. When he realized this, he stopped investigating. He would just patiently wait for the time when she's ready enough to tell him about everything just as he is to her.

"Oh, is that so." he didn't bother asking anymore before he continued, "Well, if my goddess befriended him it must only mean that there is more than what meets the eye about him."

The man also felt the same way, and upon interacting with Li Jingli a couple of times he can say that he's not even half of what they claim him to be. Happy go lucky? That might just be a facade, an ordinary person might be fooled but he would not, all the guards he has were extremely well-trained and that fact alone is something not an ordinary person can do.

Since they've been talking about serious matter for quite some time now he decided to change the subject, "Lu Nai He, don't you think its time for you to address Xi Ana as your sister-in-law and not your goddess."

"Your so stingy, she is indeed my sister-in-law but can't I at least call him my goddess whenever she's not around? Why do you have to be so cruel to me?" aside from doing this on purpose he also wanted to call her that way, he needs to take advantage of his good relationship with Lim Yi Sheng because he knows that if he is someone else, the mere fact that another person is calling Xi Ana his goddess would certainly mean trouble.

Meanwhile inside a certain high end bar in City M, Xi Ana would be meeting Li Jingli and Fang Wenna for the first time since arriving in the city three days ago.

On the sidelines a certain young woman was fuming in rage because of what happened to her earlier, so right now she's using this poor attendant to vent everything up, "Took you long enough, do you think you're on a vacation that you can just dilly-dally? I'm not paying so you can take your sweet little time you know. Don't you know who I am?" the woman shouted at the girl who came holding a bottle of wine almost running.

"I..I'm so..sorry, Ma'am. I really didn't mean to take longer time it's just that I couldn't find the wine you were asking for." her voice was cracked and at any moment she will about to cry. She is also stuttering while trying to explain herself.

"So are you saying its my fault?" she crossed her legs and picked up the glass of wine in front of her.

On the other hand, her sets of friends can't help but shrug their head towards her. If it was not because of this woman's status they would have long left her because of her nasty personality.

"It's not like that, Young Miss Mo." on her first day of work she was very unfortunate to be picked by the evil princess of City M, who would not be so nervous right?

"Quit it. Just scram!" In an instant the woman, threw a the wine glass she was holding still with its content, the young attendant was surprised as the contents were splashed all over her.

As a reflex she used her other hand to keep the glass from hitting her, the glass hit someone else before it finally landed on the floor, smashed.
