Ahri had no time to think, she looked around in a hurry and saw a door to a closet. She hurriedly crawled to the room while leaving a trail of blood behind. She shut the door and locked it. At that moment an infected slammed against the door, there were like 5 infected attacking the door while the rest continued to run after the group of people ahead.

"Sniff sniff" Ahri began to cry knowing her situation and her leg's condition. She won't be walking or running for a while like this! Ahri ripped her clothes and tried to suppress her wound from bleeding so much. Fortunately, the bullet went right through instead of getting caught in her legs or else, it would have been much worse. Ahri wiped her tears and continued to suppress the wound. She clenched her fist just thinking about Edgar's evil expression when he passed her. She clearly knew he had used her as sacrificed so he could get away.

Outside the Motorhome building

Darius was finally done with everything and he was ready to leave this place. "How long until we leave this world? This has got to be the longest 2 days of my life and this is a summer vacation!" Darius complained. He felt like time was moving too slow. "System, show me the time I have left in this world," Darius said

"Nice, it's only 19 hours left, it doesn't give me the exact minutes or seconds, does it just round?" Darius wasn't sure but the amount of time remaining wasn't much, he had to pretty much wait for just under a day's time. He was glad that he wasn't a native of such a world because it would be hell trying to survive here.

At this time, Darius was inside the motorhome. He had just got done loading the heavy gas tank into the motorhome which was very hard for him to do. "Damn, what's taking them so long?" He recalled that Steve and Ahri went to check out a sound. "It was probably an infected, they should have just come back once they noticed that it was something like that, why would they stay?" Darius looked at the building, then he heard a ruckus, no, he heard a gunshot!

Suddenly, a series of notification sounds went off in Darius's head.

Darius was so shocked that he felt like time had stood still for a moment, he stood in place for some time. He read the missions again and his facial expression distorted, then it turned cold. The bold letters were an indication that the mission was serious and would provide a better reward. Darius saw that Ahri was in trouble, it was clear from the mission log that she was back stabbed by someone!

"Steve! You actually back stabbed Ahri and put her in such a situation, prepare to DIE!" Darius didn't care, he will just have to kill Steve, then save Ahri and leave. He knew that this wasn't going to be easy, this probably meant that there were several infected in that building and that she was trapped for sure. Ahri had saved him so many times during his time in this world, if he didn't save her then what would that make him? He was sure that he would have died several times without her, she was smart and a very trusting ally.

"You forced me!" Darius prepared himself by holding his assault rifle. He walked towards the building cautiously. At that moment, he could hear people running inside the building. Darius was still outside in the rain. He could shoot anyone he wanted to during this thunderstorm and the infected wouldn't hear it due to the thunder and rain. After some time, the door was forced open and three people came rushing out in a hurry. Soon, another person could be seen coming out, it was, of course, Edgar.

"Run Darius, they are right behind us!" Steve Hollard as he ran! Darius smiled and played along.

"We don't have to, it thunder storming out, we can kill them here and now!" Darius was fearless right now, they could spray the hell out of those infected now while it was thunderstorming, they didn't have to be all sneaky while this was going on.

Steve was reluctant but stood his ground. He was soon accompanied by Lara, Mendez, and Edgar. Steve looked around but soon noticed that Ahri was missing, he wanted to say something but at this time, the infected swarmed out of the door like ants in an anthill!

"Shoot them!" Darius took aim and fired, he had help from Steve but Edgar didn't bother using his bullets. He just stared at Darius coldly, he knew that this was the partner of Ahri that Steve was talking about. Many infected were shot dead but there were just too many and they had to load. There were about 7 infected left. Darius got some survival points from killing them.

"Run, it's too many and we have to load as well!" Even though Darius was upset seeing that Ahri was left behind, he had no choice but to run and come back for her later. Steve's family was already on the motorhome when they got to it.

Once they were on board, the infected slammed into the motorhome ruthlessly. They clawed against the motorhome but this wasn't going to do anything but hurt them instead. At this time, everyone took a seat. Darius's facial expression was cloudy, he wasn't happy in the least right now.

"Where is Ahri, did you just leave her behind?" Darius asked calmly; he may have asked nicely but he was ready to kill at this moment if he had to. He stared at Steve with a cold expression. To him, Steve and everyone else were just NPC's and nothing more, to be honest. If anything, they were mere pawns to aid him in his survival in each world he went to.

"I don't know, she was right behind us but suddenly she disappeared." Steve was just as confused and didn't know what had happened. Hearing Darius's question, Edgar gripped his gun tightly, and he stared at Darius with killing intent, but Darius couldn't feel such a thing as he was now. Once he went back to upgrade his strength then he would be aware of things like killing intent, as of now, he was just a regular human.

"You don't know? When did she disappear, wasn't she with you guys the whole time?" Darius asked

"She was right behind us when we made our escape from the room, there is no way she could have just disappeared like that!" Steve said honestly. Darius did see that Steve was in the front of everyone, so how could he stumble Ahri while leading the group out?

Lara seemed to recall something. Ahri was right behind her when they made their escape. "When we were running, I heard a gunshot go off behind us, then I heard someone scr....." Lara stopped, it seemed that she had just figured out something! Edgar's face turned sinister and he flexed his gun towards Darius but before he could do anything, he was hit in the head from behind!

Edgar still managed to fire his gun and the bullet hit Mendez right in the c.h.e.s.t and into his heart. The life drained from Mendez's eye as he took a deep breath before he dropped dead, just like that!

"AH~~! Lara screamed in terror seeing Mendez's dead corpse on the floor, it all happened so fast! Lara ran the bathroom and began to vomit the snacks she ate recently. Edgar got sneak attacked by Steve's wife, Sarah! She noticed the change in his movements and facial expression. On top of that, he was too quiet, she first thought it was Mendez but when she looked at Edgar who was holding a gun, she began to speculate something. Lara had said she heard guns shot then a scr.. obviously, she knew what she wanted to say.

Edgar didn't get knocked out but he fell to the floor and Steve immediately disarmed him by stepping on his hand and kicking the gun away. Steve was pissed, the one who sent Ahri to her death was Edgar! Darius was even more angry, but suddenly Mendez's body started to spaz out, Steve moved away, Mendez had turned into an infected and bit Edgar's leg!

"AHHHH!" Edgar piercing screams echo throughout the motorhome. Steve aimed his shotgun toward Mendez's head and pulled the trigger, ending him once and for all. Steve wanted to kill Edgar as well but Darius was much faster than him and shot him in the head two times with his pistol!

Darius heard a notification go off in his head. He was almost killed by this Fatman, if it wasn't for Sarah, he would have been shot already, but Mendez paid the price with his life instead. With the sound of the notification, he knew he had completed the mission. This mission wasn't easy since he was almost killed and even blamed the wrong person in his mind.

"It seems that Edgar has put Ahri in a terrible situation. How are we going to save her?" Steve asked Darius who sat silently. Darius seemed to be in deep thought but came back to himself after some thinking.

"We'll have to kill the infected outside first. I'll go out the top of the motorhome and kill them from up there, then we can go save her." At that moment, he heard his walky-talky going off.

Dari-usu!" The voice of Ahri could be heard from the Walky Talky! Darius immediately grabbed it and spoke.

"Ahri, where are you? I am coming to get you out of there!" Darius said

"Scared, bleeding!" Darius could understand that she was feeling scared and was apparently bleeding. Darius knew what that gunshot was for when he heard it earlier, she had been shot! He didn't know the seriousness of her wound, where was she shot!?

"Ahri, where were you shot?" Darius asked slowly, he wanted her to understand so he spoke calmly and slowly. This would also keep her calm from possibly panicking and maybe doing something she would regret.

"Leg Shotto," Ahri spoke in her typical broken English, he could hear her sobbing over the walky-talky. This world was indeed scary, who would want to turn into an infect or die in a world that isn't even yours? She was shot too, most people don't get shot in japan, no, you don't get shot in japan, she was never supposed to experience getting shot.

Author Note: No one should be shot, I'm just saying!

"I'll be there soon to pick you up, just wait for me!" Darius didn't understand what the mission meant. Did it mean that she would die from her wound or would she be killed by an infected? He wished it was clear so he could understand.

"Okay," Ahri said in relief and stopped talking, she was tending to her wound as best as she could. Darius put the walky-talky on low and marched to the top of the motorhome through the top part that opened up. It was kinda like a sun window from the hummer. Much to Darius's delight, it was still raining and thunder storming out, so he could still utilize his guns without worry.

The infected were still beating on the door with no let-up. There were about seven of them, which would be quite a headache to deal with on a regular basis. Darius took aim and shot all of them dead with ease. They couldn't get to him unless they did their crazy sugar rush technique, where they started climbing on each other. Once he killed all of them, he scanned the area for anymore infected, there were none.

Darius went back down and alerted everyone that the coast was clear. Lara was still in the bathroom with a pale expression on her face from the recent events. "Sarah, you take these bodies out and dump them, also, be careful." Steve said. Sarah scratched her head and did so afterward. Darius put the motorhome keys in his pocket for security purposes, he didn't want anyone leaving with his ride and all the things he had gotten so far.

"Okay, let's go!" Darius spoke and Steve followed, the rest stayed back. This time, Steve had a submachine gun, to be exact, it was Ahri's weapon from before. Steve still kept his shotgun with him, it was on his back as a secondary while he had a pistol on his side.

Darius was also loaded up and ready to go with his typical Ar-556 as his primary weapon. "Don't worry, I won't allow my friend to die!" Darius swore in his heart.
