The Boundaries Beyond: Omni Realm's

One of the Velociraptors discarded all caution and pounced toward Darius. Darius was all by himself, so what was there to be afraid of? However, it was suddenly pierced through the eye by an arrow.

Zip!

"Euugg!!" The Velociraptor fell to the ground mid-flight and started squirming about. It put its head on the ground and used his long arms to pull the arrow out. The rest of the Velociraptors looked around for a second but couldn't detect where the shot came from.

Bang!

Bang!

Darius started shooting the wounded Raptor to finish it off. It screamed and hissed, then it fell to the ground dead in a puddle of its own blood. Darius once again received another notification with the death of the raptor.

This time, Ahri grabbed three arrows from her quiver. The Raptors started to spread out to attack Darius this time. The Raptors couldn't figure out where the hidden enemy was because Ahri would duck back into cover to hide from them.

He was worried about two things, the first was this attack pattern. The second was the fact that more Raptors could show up, but gunfire was still going on in the jungle, so this may not happen.

He had a few bullets left in his gun before he would need to reload, so this could be considered a third problem. He had enough to kill one more Raptor before he needed to load his pistol. Ahri didn't care at this point about the reveal of her position.

Ahri popped out and used her passive ability, Sleight of hand. She fired two quick arrows off in a flash, one hit a raptor in the eye while the other hit a Raptor in the leg. She managed to fire off the third one, but she wasn't fast enough.

The Raptor in the middle which seemed to be the leader had noticed her, so he was able to dodge the arrow. Darius had two bullets left in the chamber, he carefully took aim at the Raptor. He was targeting the raptor that was shot in the leg.

With that, he fired two shots into the raptor, killing it!

The Raptors weren't stupid, they obviously wouldn't give Darius time to finish what he wanted to do, like reloading. They had seen what the item in his hand could do, so they wouldn't give him a chance to use it if they could help it.

Fortunately, they were now distracted by Ahri when she popped out, so he used this opportunity to pull out his Pp-sh. Darius grinned and flashed his gun toward the raptors, he sprayed the last remaining raptors in one go!

It took a bit more to take them out, but he did the job in a quick and unexpected manner. With that, all 5 raptors were killed off. Smoke fumes could be seen coming out of the mouth of the PP-Sh after shooting so much.

Darius looked around and sighed in relief after seeing the dead Raptors. They both shared the kill for this mission, but if someone assisted in killing a Dinosaur, it would count as a kill for them. The system could detect if you were allied with someone so it would naturally share with them despite it being an individual mission.

Ahri quickly came down this time while Darius loaded both his weapons. Nick had given them quite a bit of ammunition when they last visited him.

Boom!

Just when Darius wanted to say something, another explosion took place. They were shocked, not because of the explosion but because of how close it was! "We have to go, we'll kill some velociraptors slowly but surely!" They couldn't relax in a danger zone, so it was best to talk afterward.

They quickly took off in the jungle, they could still hear screams of horror. So many people were going to die in this world for sure! Ahri had good stamina so she wasn't getting tired like Darius was right now.

'I need to update my Stamina next time!' Darius thought to himself.

He still kept running, after running for an unknown amount of time, they came across a flowing river. It was a chaotic and fast stream of water, so it wasn't anything to swim across without getting swept away.

"Maybe we should follow the river flow and see where it leads, it should lead us to somewhere safe."

Ahri suggested, she looked around cautiously, she obviously witnessed the sneak attack of the Velociraptor from earlier.

"Hmm, that would sound good and all, but remember that this is still nature. Where do you think most animal stick close to? They like to hang around watering holes to hunt and have access to water." Darius didn't think this was such a good idea, water meant other predators.

Darius remembered Jp3 and the main antagonist of the movie, the Spinosaurus! Its persistence was so annoying as it managed to pop up just about everywhere the cast went. What shocked Darius the most was its ability to sneak up on people for its size.

"We can't go back, so what do we do then?" Ahri thought about what he said and knew he was right.

"You're right, we can't go back, so we'll follow the river for a little bit for now." They couldn't go back, so they had to try following the river, it was the only way right now. Who knows, they might not run into any predators.

Darius was always nervous but he was the type that could think fast in close and dangerous situations like this, for some reason. It was like his brain was sending him red alerts on what to do and not to do!

"Keep watch and don't let your guard down one bit!" He looked at Ahri following behind him. She nodded and followed, maybe she should invest in a machine gun later. Bows were good but when it was multiple targets, it was a pain to use when guns were best in that situation.

This was Ahri's thoughts, but she liked bows so much.

The two continued to walk with no signs of trouble revealing itself. The crazy amount of gunshots had died down since then. Despite it being 'peaceful' so far, they didn't let their guard down. Ahri stuck close to Darius which freaked him out a bit, wasn't she a little too scared!?

Darius was feeling cool despite wearing his black ops suit, it had a cooling system installed inside the suit. This was a tropical and hot climate so most would look at him like an idiot if they saw him wearing this.

They continued on with no problems, they soon saw that the river was turning off into another direction. It was no longer going in a straight line, they also saw another forest but it wasn't as thick as the one before.

Suddenly, they heard loud and shaky footsteps coming their way. Both of their expressions weren't looking so good as they both went on defense without thinking. If they had to, they wouldn't hesitate to jump into the wild and chaotic river. This was definitely so if a carnivore like an allosaurus popped up.

Soon, 3 people came out of the jungle, there were 2 men and 1 woman. They were gasping for air, but this only made Darius frown. One of the men looked at Darius with a cold grin on his face, he was wearing a Camo Blue outfit.

"You two, you better run, it's right behind us!" The woman yelled over at Darius and Ahri!

Darius's expression changed greatly, he had heard the footsteps and was worried about that the most. The man in blue glared at the woman for a second before turning to run.

Darius and Ahri didn't sit around and started to run as well. Suddenly, a Dinosaur that resembled a T-rex ran out of the thicket. Ahri and Darius didn't want to look back to study it, they just kept running! All Darius knew was that the dinosaur had two horns on its head, before running away.

The Dinosaur's roar resounded throughout the area as it ran after the group!

"These bastards led a Dinosaur like this our way!" Darius was visibly angry under his helmet, he was tempted to jump into the raging river, but the group spotted an abandoned research facility up ahead!

"There! Let's take refuge in there!" The man in Green, who was in the lead pointed and called out. They quickly ran to the Giant Doors and through the entrance. The man in blue from before stared at Darius and Ahri, he was about to shut them out!

"Hey, what are you doing!?" Just as he wanted to, the woman stopped him from doing what he wanted to do. She quickly allowed Darius and Ahri passage through.

Afterward, they quickly shut the giant twin doors and locked them. At that moment, a loud slam could be heard at the twin doors, the Dinosaur gave a loud roar and kept slamming at the doors.

Too bad though, the doors were just too sturdy. So, it walked away but it didn't leave, it was waiting outside!

Darius looked out to see what type of dinosaur it was, he wanted to scan and see its status. There were small windows in this place, so it was possible.

Darius sighed, it wasn't that big compared to the T-Rex but it was just as aggressive as them. Everyone was catching their breaths except Ahri and Darius, they weren't running that long and Ahri has pretty good stamina.

Ahri was staring at the man in blue with an indifferent expression on her face, but this wasn't so in her head. She knew what this guy was trying to do not too long ago, she was pretty pissed about it but didn't show it.

"Damn! What kind of dinosaur was that!? It was reddish with horns, was it a devil type dinosaur?" The Indian man in green had never seen Jurassic Park before. In fact, he could care less about dinosaurs in general, so how could he know?

"It was a Carnotaurus, it's small compared to the T-Rex. Its arms are really small so it can't do much but rely on its mouth!" Darius walked over and said.

"Carnotaurus? Why would they name a dinosaur that? Are they out of names or something, or do they want it to sound intimidating?" The Indian man shook his head, it didn't make sense, were people out of names for dinosaurs?

Honestly, Darius could care less about the name of it as it didn't matter. To him, it was a threat they had to kill or stay away from.

"Its name just means Meat-eating Bull, so it's a logical name that goes along with its features." Darius shrugged and slowly looked over at the man in blue. The man was glaring at him, he was studying Darius by looking him up and down. He couldn't see Darius's face but he could tell that Darius viewed him as a hostile.

Ahri wouldn't hesitate to kill this man if Darius gave her the green light, people like this was a problem! At that moment, in a blink of an eye, Darius aimed his pistol at the man, but the man was the same and aimed back.

Ahri also took aim at the man in blue with her Magnum!

"Wow, Wow, wait a minute!" The woman was shocked and so was the Indian man in green. He hadn't been paying attention to any of the events but the woman knew what was going on.

"This guy tried to get me and my partner killed, he was about to lock the door if you didn't say anything! I could be considered a dead person with that, this is attempted murder from what I can see!"

Darius, for the first time, wanted to kill someone, this guy was bad news. If he couldn't kill him, it was best to stay away from him. This is what Darius was so cautious and worried about, this type of behavior from people, he didn't have to shut them out, this was murder at this point!

"I don't know what you're talking about, how about you leave and let the s.e.xy chick stay!" The man l.u.s.tfully scanned Ahri's body until his eyes stopped on her c.h.e.s.t, so big!

Suddenly, he was smacked over the head by the Indian man and knocked out!

Darius, Ahri, and the woman were surprised, he hit him over the head from the back.

"He's one of yours, why would you knock him out?" Darius asked.

"One of mine? Nope! We met on a whim when everyone was separated from each other's original groups." The Indian man didn't see this man as a comrade but he didn't want him to die.

"Maybe we should throw him to the dinosaur and escape while he's being eaten!" Darius nodded and suggested.

"N-No way, I know you hate him for trying to lock you out but have some mercy, do you still have any humanity?" The woman couldn't believe what Darius wanted to do, was he still human.

"Oh? I have my humanity but this guy doesn't have any of that, did you see what he was trying to do? He'll only do it to others to survive, he has no loyalty to no one and if you keep hanging around him, you'll be next on the chopping block for his list of victims!" Darius sneered, this guy probably doomed so many people already to make it to this point!

"..." The woman was silent because she knew it was true.

"We don't have to kill him but I want to split off from you guys soon." Darius said and continued "But first, we have to get rid of this Carnotaurus!" He walked up to the little window and saw that it was still waiting outside, it was laying down and waiting! Ahri was still aiming at the group to make sure they didn't try anything funny, he had always told her to be aware of everyone.

"We could just shoot it to death but there is no telling how many bullets it would take. But if we all unloaded into it, we should be able to do the job." Suddenly, Darius looked over and saw a stairway leading down to some unknown place.

Darius changed his plan, if he didn't have to be out in the wild then he could take cover here.

"Will we be forced to eat dinosaur meat?" Darius sighed.

"Lady, it would be nice if you didn't point your gun at us all the time." The Indian man frowned, why was she so hostile?

"Relax, we're just cautious, who knows, right?" Darius quickly said.

He wasn't taking any chances.

"Let's check that stairway and see what we find."
