The Boundaries Beyond: Omni Realm's

Chapter 17 - The Omni Realm Part 4 Last Part!!

...................

Darius stepped onto the Mini platform to begin his status boosting. He had a total of 43.5 attribute points ready for use. He didn't need to think too much about his investment and put 15 points into his strength stat by cl.i.c.k.i.n.g the Red button and inputting the number he wanted to invest. Next was his speed, he put 12 points into speed and 10 into Dexterity. Darius now has 6.5 attribute points left for use. He looked at the Ability Power stat but couldn't figure out what it meant so he just put the remaining points into health.

"Wow, this feels great!" Darius could immediately feel the change, he felt much lighter and flexible. He couldn't help but punch outward to test his speed, which even surprised him a bit. Once he was done, he descended the stand platform with a satisfied feeling. Once he was done many others went to boost their stats as well. Darius simply waited until Ahri was done to continue, over time she finally was.

Ahri descended and looked super excited like most people who were done boost their status. But who wouldn't, this was the easiest way to get stronger. Darius was a bit curious about what stats she had upgraded but didn't ask since this was sort of a private matter, one doesn't simply show off their stats to people.

"Alright, now that we're done with our stats, I think we should go home, maybe?" Darius wasn't sure at this point, how long has he been here for? Ahri didn't seem to be in a rush to go home, in fact, she wanted to complete another world!

Darius didn't know what to say to this statement but they decided to head to the post they emerged from to get here. After about five minutes of walking, they arrived at the post. The post wasn't far from the attribute platform, so anyone who wanted to boost their stats right away could go do so swiftly. Once they were there, they spotted the same old man that gave them an introduction when they first got here. The old man wore a green and white suit that was hard to ignore since it was so bright, this was lime green so how could he not stand out?

"Excuse me, old man, we have some questions we'd like to ask." Seeing Darius' reluctant face, Ahri spoke first. The old man who was standing in place like a statue near the Boundaries Beyond Gate, suddenly opened his eyes.

"Yes, what questions might you have Outlander?" The old man asked flatly

"Uh..." Ahri paused and looked at Darius and back at the man and continued "We both want to know how time works here and for the worlds we enter and ours." They wanted to know exactly how time was perceived here so they didn't lose track. They didn't want to be out for weeks on end if the time difference was that same in their world as here.

"Oh, I see. Each world you enter is an hour lost in your world. So if you were to enter into another world for a mission then that's another hour. You wouldn't be wasting much time unless you tired to do 24 worlds a day which is, well, 24 hours." The old man shrugged and said flatly.

"This is perfect, I like the way time works here!" Ahri was happy to hear that only an hour would pass for each world they did in their world. This would make things much easier for them knowing this information and with the fact that time wasn't wasted so much was even better, it was only an hour after all.

"So how do we start another world mission?" Darius was relieved to hear this confirmation from the old man and he agreed with the idea of starting another world mission. His parents won't be home in like 4 hours after he got home from school so there was no big deal.

"Simple, you go back toward the cube room and it will assign you your next world mission." The man said, "You will also be assigned with random new people during your search so don't be too surprised." The Old Man basically said that if they searched for another mission they would be grouped with more people, but new people just like they once were.

Darius and Ahri didn't think too much about it, maybe the next group of people would be idiots again and go to their own deaths. "Thank you, sir! We'll be off now." Ahri turned to Darius and they both walked away. Darius needed to learn basic things like hand to hand combat skills and shooting skills or something. This place had all of that, so why not go buy it while he was here, then they would head out. They both still had all of their survival points since the beginning and hadn't spent any yet.

Before going to the next world he wanted to buy some basic combat skills. Ahri and Darius both looked at the map on the side of the streets. The streets were packed with people going in and out of stores and back and forth to their next destination. Every now and then, some new people would come out of the Boundary Beyond Gate. There was a limit to how many people would be called to this world, to be exact, a number limit, it was unknown what number would stop this flow of people.

After looking at the map, they both saw a store that said Combat Training and Weaponry. They learned where it was from the map and proceeded to head there. From what Darius could see, this place known as Unit 1 seemed to consist of standard weapons and basic learning abilities. Things like call of duty and things like this where they sold guns and no powers for people to use, of course, Marvel, Naruto and some more things were in this unit but mostly standard modern weapons and skills.

After doing some more walking towards their next destination, Darius was starting to get a little annoyed with all this walking but he saw no other means for transportation other than that. Soon, they came to a store and said Combat Training Skills and Weaponry. This was their last stop, then they would head to their next missionary world.

Both Ahri and Darius walked into the shop which was filled with modern-day weapons such as Guns, Grenades, Rocket Launchers etc. There were Kartana, Swords, Machetes and many more things hanging around on display. There were roughly 10 to 20 people walking around browsing the weapons and checking them out.

Soon, a voice came over towards both of them. "My friends, can I help you with anything? Is there anything you're particularly looking for?" The man who asked was wearing an army camo outfit; he had bulging muscle with blonde hair. The man carried a pistol and knife on his side with several grenades scr.a.p.ed to his belt. There was a tattoo of an eagle on his arm that looked fierce.

"Ah, yes, we are looking for Combat Skills and some close combat weapons like a good knife or sword." Ahri said, "However, for me, I prefer a katana if you have a really good one." They had ranged weapons already but lacked close-quarters combat weapons like stabbing weapons. If they were to run out of ammo or had to load then they would be in trouble to some degree. Darius was however stunned with the appearance of the shopkeeper, he looked quite intimidating but Ahri spoke to him like it was nothing, did this girl know no fear!?

"Hoho, young traveler, we have many weapons that you would like, we even have special weapons that can freeze, set ablaze, and electrocute things when they hit a foe." The man spoke with pride and said: "Also, my name is Nick Zeal, it's a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to me you guys." The man stuck out his hand towards Ahri and she happily shook it. Darius did the same with some reluctance.

"Thank you and it's nice to meet you, please show us what you got," Ahri said with a grin. Unknowingly, she had taken the lead here since Darius was so silent.

"This way, please. The best weapons are over in this area." Nick Said, "If you really wanna get really technical, then you'll have to go next door, he sells weapons from a movie called The Predator or something." Nick somehow made friends with the man next door and decided to put his business out there for them to know.

Darius was stunned to hear this, weapons from the predator movie, the predator's weaponry! He took note of this in his mind for a later date, for now, he wanted some items from here. Darius was sure that the weapons next door would probably cost much more than here.

"Alright, here we are. Feel free to look around and check and see what you like." Nick smiled and took a seat behind a desk once he was done speaking. Ahir's eye sparkled as she looked at the weapons all around, they were definitely an upgrade from the last room they were in. Darius looked around in amazement as well, but the main thing he wanted was explosives and some close combat weapons.

They began to check out the weapons from each row one at a time and each wall one at a time. Darius remembered the ability he had recently received, which was the ability called Scan that allowed him to check the stats of items around him.

"Scan!" After he said that, many stats started to appear.

Darius skimmed through the weapons in amazement, this Glacial Buck Knife was pretty long for a knife. The strange steel was light blue in color with strange designs on it that Darius couldn't describe. Yes, he wanted this weapon, this was too good to pass up.

Darius saw a few grenades and put them into the shopping basket he was carrying around. He had a machine gun such as the PPSh-41 but he needed something simpler, like a pistol. This brought him to another wall full of different weapons on it, particularly pistols like weapons.

Darius saw many sidearm pistols and decided to grab the BloodDrip Pistol for his sidearm. He didn't see any price on these weapons, strangely. Darius also put 10 throwing knives in his basket before heading towards the counter where Nick was waiting with a smile on his face.

Ahri was also picking up some weapons, she had found a nice Katana that caught her eye the minute she walked in. She didn't forget to buy a bow and a common magnum that probably didn't cost much.

"Ah, I see you guys are done shopping." Nick said "Alright young lady, I'll check you out first. The bullets for this Magnum are free when you first purchase it. I'll give you 64 bullet for free with this magnum and 50 arrows for free with the bow for starters." The magnum could hold 8 bullets in its chamber which was pretty decent, Darius decided to scan the bow and the magnum to check their capabilities.

[Can evolve]

Darius nodded toward Ahri's taste, these weapons weren't bad at all. "The Bow and Magnum will equal a total of 7,000 Survival Points!" Nick said: "But, since you two are the first to buy from this area, I'll give you a 50% discount, this is how all the stores around here are for you beginners, it won't be like this in Unit 2 and up. I'll give you the Katana for free for good faith." Hearing what Nick said both Ahri and Darius were stunned but were immediately happy afterward. Such weapons were nothing compared to the true power they would be able to get in the future, these weapons would become nonexistent once that time came. Ahri immediately put the Katana into her storage bag

Ahri immediately put the Katana into her storage bag but After Ahri heard more, she decided to ask if he sold some skill cards, which he did. She bought the skill 『Shooting』and 『Knife Throwing』 Which cost 1,500 survival points altogether but with the discount, that was different. She paid 4,250 Survival Points which left her with 4,330 Survival Points remaining. Feeling happy with her purchase, she put them into her storage bag which was starting to get a little too full at the moment.

"Alrighty, Next is your turn young man, what are you buying?" Once Nick was done asking his question, Darius put all the items on the counter 1 by 1. Darius had 10 Throwing Knives, 5 Grenades, The Glacial BuckKnife, and the BloodDrip Pistol.

"Wow, no bad, you're getting serious now!" Nick was enthusiastic about Darius' items, he could tell he wasn't joking. The Gracial BuckKnife cost the most of the items he was buying, it was 5,500 survival points but with the discount that would change. Nick began to add everything up, the throwing knives were 250 each, the Grenades were 500 each, and the BloodDrip Pistol was 4,000! In total, he would be Paying 14,500 Survival Points!

"I also want the 『Shooting』 Skill Card and the 『Knife Throwing』 Skill Card." Darius said, "And if you have the Hand to Hand Skill Card as well or any other close-quarters combat skills like that, it would be nice." Darius wanted to be ready for the next world, he was sure it would be harder than World War Z.

"Ah, I see. I have 『Knife Combat』 and 『Hand To Hand』. This skill hand to hand has a chance to evolve to Pugilist in the future but you would have to go through many different levels before it reaches that, like a boxer for example, that's one of them." Nick gave Darius a little run down about the skill and how it could be upgraded through fighting.

"Wow, I didn't know that, I'll take them both!" Darius was a bit excited to hear such news, he was going all out since he had a discount, why not take advantage of it? At this time, Ahri went back to get some throwing knives to purchase. Darius would have to pay 20,000 survival points but only paid 10,000 due to the discount. He crushed the 4 cards immediately as he could hear multiple Dings go off in his head. His mind also started to fill up with information as his muscle began to change a bit, it was kind of painful so he held his head for about 2 minutes before the minor headache was over.

Once Ahri was done with her purchase they left the store as they thanked Nick. Nick just told them to come back next time and that he'll probably have better stuff to show and sell them. With them being fully ready, they rushed back to the Beyond Gate where they saw the same old man standing there. Ahri and Darius nodded as they passed him and walked through the Boundary Beyond Gate.

What greeted them was darkness for a second before another door opened and revealed the cube room. "We're back, we should be able to start another mission through the cube, I wonder what the next world will be?" Ahri said curiously. They both walked to the center of the room and saw a green portal that said "Way Back Home" above it.

"Hmm, it seems like that is the way back home." Darius said, "There is a button next to the portal with a sign next to it, what does it say?" Darius noticed the button and sign and asked. All these things weren't here when they arrived from the World War Z world.

"I'll check and see, it should be something important." Ahri said as she went to check it out. The sign had a simple question on it, which asked.

[Would you like to continue to the next world?]

Ahri told Darius what it said and he told her to push the button to confirm it. Ahri didn't waste any time and pushed the button! The green portal disappeared and the area around them shook and started distorting. The Boundaries Beyond Door also disappeared, and suddenly.

Soon, many fainted figures began to appear out of nowhere. This was the same scenario they both were met with when they first got here. Looking at the number of people lying on the floor this time, it was less in number.

Darius and Ahri both made a decision and put their equipment on. After doing so, time quickly passed which was about 5 minutes, that was when people started waking up. "Ah, shit, where the hell am I?" One man stood up holding his head as he gazed all around him. There were several other people getting up as well with annoyed and confused expressions.

"Where is this, I was in the middle of filling out a survey until I heard a voice!" Some Caucasian Woman with red-dyed hair said with shock. Many people began to look at each other cautiously as if they were looking for an explanation.

"There are a total of 20 of us, were we kidnapped by someone? That voice from earlier said I was getting transferred." Some girl who looked about 16 or 17 said. Many people started to speculate but when they saw Darius and Ahri's strange clothing they grew very concerned.

"Hey, you two! Did you guys kidnap us and bring us here!?" One big bulky man with several tattoos spoke in a threatening and demeaning voice, it was obvious that he was ready to use force!

"No, you idiot, you were brought here by the voice! You better watch yourself or someone's going to get hurt and it ain't me!" Darius was not generous at all towards people like this, how dare he threaten him!?

"Oh, and who's going to hurt me, you? Do you think just because you're dressed up as some special operative that you can do and talk to me any way you want!?" The man said, "I think we all should beat these guys and get an answer from them, this seems to be the most ideal thing to do!" The man tried to turn the crowd against Darius and Ahri, they were way too suspicious with their dress code.

Everyone was starting to get swayed until suddenly the cube descended downward for all to see. "What the hell is that Cube, how was it floating in the air like that?" One man exclaimed in shock. Everyone backed away as far as they could from the cube, however, the cube did its thing and suddenly shot a laser towards everyone but Darius and Ahri.

"Oh, f.u.c.k, Dodge!" Everyone panicked and tried to dodge the laser, but how could they? The laser penetrated their heads but obviously didn't kill them, it only loaded information into their head that they'll get piece by piece over time and gave them the ability to see their status.

"I-I can see strange information in my head, what is a status?" Soon everyone brought up their status page much to their surprise.

"It's like a video game, and shows everyone their stats, this is too amazing!" The nerdy boy was excited about this development. However, at that moment, two portals opened up again, with the number 10 above both of them. Like always, both portals were red and blue like last time.

Darius and Ahri had already decided to go into the same colored portal as last time, Red! Both of them sprinted towards the red portal and dove into it without hesitation. Everyone was stunned and stood in place for a second, but a voice suddenly went off in their heads.

[Choose a portal in 10 seconds or Die!]

Everyone was shocked to hear the threatening voice and immediately ran toward the portal of their choosing.

After about 2 minutes, Darius, Ahri, and the people who chose this portal appeared in an elevator that was ascending somewhere.

"And so it begins!" Darius said to himself
