The Awakening Unknown

Ryuji stood before me with fear within his eyes as I stand with a sword lodged into my lower intestines. My body spews up blood which causes Anja to turn away from me. Ambrocio seems to have both an expression of being shocked and satisfaction written.

「Fate Manipulation Or Predestination.

- To activate you or person the ability is directed to carry intense emotions until personal level reaches 200.

- The user of this ability is able to alter or even reshape the future, alter destiny, fate, or just rearrange future events.」

The blood which drips from the abdomen falls slowly to the ground. Their voice mutter out as the ability comes into effect. I become very calm, the pain wipes away from me and my blinks thumps.

「Completed」

"What just happened?" Ryuji asked.

As I look around the room is the same... but instead of the sword being lodged into my stomach... it's Ryuji with the blade piercing through him. He falls to the ground, groaning in pain.

He slowly dies as his face is planted into the ground. The blood spewing from his body covers a small portion of his body and becomes a small puddle on the ground.

"What the hell did you do to my accomplice?" Ambrocio shouted.

Accomplice? really... I thought to myself.

This ability allowed me to rewrite history... ...even though it was a current event I was still able to rewrite it.

Meaning... I turn to see the ropes holding Anja on the ground and Anja standing straight without any noticeable bruises.

"What was that ability just now?" Anja asked.

"Sigh..."

"HEY! you do know that I am still here, right!" Ambrocio exclaimed.

His speed increased compared to a few moments ago as he appears in front of us. I grabbed Anja and dashed into the shadows.

「Shadow Travel」

We appear outside just inches away from the building Anja was trapped in. When I first came here, I noticed Anja's spear and put it into my inventory. So, I reach into my inventory and hands over to her. She seems to have been fl.u.s.tered over her spear since leaving the chair she sat in.

"Thanks."

Ambrocio most likely sensed us as he came bursting out the building yelling.

「Camoflauge」

He stops in his tracks as me and Anja disappeared. "Where the hell did they go?!" He said scratching his head. If he was smarter he would calm down and use his sense to track our footsteps.

Huh?

He appeared directly in front of me with a menacing smile. "Tricked you!" He whispered. A sudden burst of laughter emerges from him as he grabs me by the neck. I can't breathe...

Out of nowhere, Anja kicks him meters away from me. "You're just a shameless excuse of a man." She told him.

"Bitch!... ...You're gonna regret that..."

As he said that Anja ran in punching him in the nose making it bleed instantly. I cough into my arm as I fall to my knees with a lack of oxygen. My wheezing must've distracted him as Anja closes in the gap between the two and swings her spear at his c.h.e.s.t. He somehow turned the spear towards her puncturing her in the c.h.e.s.t.

"Hahaha... you can't win bitch!"

「Fate Manipulation」

In a quick turn of events, the spear became lodged into Ambrocio's c.h.e.s.t instead of Anja's. He turns to me and curses my name. But... this sadly won't be enough.

Retreat Anja!

She turns to me and returned. This won't be enough to kill him... but it's enough to put him into custody. Can that bracelet work on him as well? ...

"No... sadly it's only formed to fit me and work on me."

'sigh.' I see...

We appear back in Athens where we came to turn Ambrocio into the world government. He still seems to be unconscious but his body is extremely heavy.

Without that new ability, I would've been dead. He's seemed, dunce but he was smarter than I originally thought. He had already noticed me and tracked me down even in camouflage. And his speed was incredible, along with his strength I was out powered in nearly every category I thought I had dominated.

We turn Ambrocio into the world government and Anja makes me follow her into her main office. But there was already a man in a panic sitting there.

"Miss Anja... you're okay." He said on his knees.

"I'm so sorry miss Anja. I... I was too weak." He said.

Anja seemed to have been in shock. Her reaction was slower than but than she put her hand on his shoulder, "It's okay, he was an S rank... even I had difficulty fighting him." This calmed him down and he stood from the ground and glance to me.

He inches towards me with his eyes narrowly squinch. "Oh, your Abis Uzun right!" He said excitedly. I nod my head yes and he grabbed my hands in happiness. "Did you help miss Anja escape."

Yeah... I guess.

Anja smiles, "Could you leave us be, for now, I need to speak to Mr. Uzun in privately!" He nods his head and bows then takes his leave.

"Do you know why I brought you here?"

I look at her for a while and analyzed her.

No, not at all. I told her.

"It's because the organization is hosting a tournament."

"Yes... it's something that we do once every four years. Every country will partake in this contest. And you happen to be our newest recruit so you are obligated to join us. You, however, can choose your own squad. An A rank, B rank, or even F any rank you want or face will be in this competition."

I take a while to take it in but sadly I am forced to go.

Where and when will it take place?

"...Pireas! two months from now. We will try to be in contact as the exact date is still being determined."

I agree and walk out of the office with my contact number left on Anja's desk.

... ...And head towards the prison cells.
