The Awakening Unknown

Tuesday August, 20XX

Time: Death

-Flashback-

They surrounded me, my heart beating out of my c.h.e.s.t. They tied my arms together and the woman kicked me in the face. I started to lose consciousness but the pain keeps me intact, I felt a sharp pain  in my left t.h.i.g.h. The goblins began to stab me all at once; they purposely missed my vital spots so they could torture me for a longer period of time. I scream in pain, hearing my screams return to me by echoes. 

One of the goblins walked up towards me and slit my throat, I could no longer scream but somehow I was still alive. Two other goblins grabbed my arms and cut the tendons from them.

I felt a burning sensation from my leg, they're sawing through the bones so it could be unattached. They're laughing, enjoyment from my pain.

"You're about to die," the woman said.

I gaze over to her and can tell that enjoyed seeing me die. Why I thought, is Ivy okay, I wondered. I cannot move my arms, and my legs cut off I no longer wished to live with my body the way it was.

A bright light flashed right before my eyes, I could only stare at it as it was the only thing that I could focus on. It was loading for some random reason.

I answered yes, and a light flashed making my eyes close. 

-Present Day-

I have just awakened from my nap, the television is on playing a cartoon that I never seen before. The sunlight blind me as it creeps past the blinds. I remember some of my memories from the event but cannot remember passed the system opening for the first time. This came to me quite randomly,I get up from the couch and to get a drink of water. I wobbled and almost fell over, this is my first time having to deal with intense drowsiness since I was discharged from the hospital. I open the cabinet with glassware and picked up a tall glass. I poured me a glass of water, and chugged it down. I try to walk out the kitchen but stopped at the entrance, I hear wiggling from the front door and here the door open.

*Clack Clack* 

Someone's walking up the stairs, a warm breeze enters the house and all I hear is the sound of keys clinking together. They sit the keys down by the bookshelf and walk past the kitchen. I gather my strength and stand tall. I see the dim faded shadow of a girl, the sun shining past the curtains I see her walking closer to me. 

"Bubba", she said. 

It's my sister Ivy, she returned after her long week or two at work. She's an A rank healer, so she works as a doctor, and raid healer as a part-time gig. We earn lots of money, and the only reason we lived in a small house before the accident was because she was saving up enough to build us homes, open her own clinic, get a mobile vehicle and have money after all of that. But after I became a hunter they most-likely knew that I was going to be a high rank soldier, and gave a no rent multi million dollar house. We got the house built as long as I promise to become a hunter.

"Oh, your home for once."

"Haha, how funny I bought us some food go get it."

I grabbed my slippers and brought in all of the groceries. "Woman you said food, not groceries." She's taking off her work clothes and putting on her house clothes. "Same thing," she shouted. I shook my head in disagreement and laid back down on the couch. She walked out in her usual gray sweater and black yoga pants. She sit across from me in the chair and asks what I'm watching. I shrugged and told her I never heard of it before, it was just on when I woke up. She grabbed the remote and started scrolling through channels. "What have you been eating,"  she asks. I answered with whatever was microwaveable. She shook her head and mumbled boy's to herself.

She told me to get dressed we're leaving. I put my shoes on and changed shirts, then got in the car she just bought. When she looks at me she look shocked.

"You do look different, never noticed," she said. When I asked what that meant she responded with the people at work brought the fact that you got more attractive and I didn't notice until now.
