Nie Lan finished concocting her pills using formulas that the Alchemy Association does not have. She went to find Yang Xin for appraisal and to help her sell them.

Yang Xin's room was nearby and with her token Nie Lan was granted access to it. She saw that Yang Xin was concocting so she stood to the side waiting for her to finish.

Yang Xin was concentrating so hard she did not notice new presences in her room. She was in the midst of concocting a pill that would signify her advancement as an alchemist by a minor stage.

Yang Xin was getting close to the fusion stage but the pill suddenly lost it's stability and it burnt up into charcoal. A batch of herbs failed, Yang Xin had a downcast face as she paused her alchemy. She sensed a person besides her assistant in the room and turned to look at the peerless face of Nie Lan.

"Lan'er! What are you doing here? Miss elder sis already?" Yang Xin asked with a slight snicker.

Nie Lan's face blushed as she explained "I j-just made a pill and I wanted alchemist Yan-"

"Elder sis" Yang Xin insisted.

"I wanted elder sis to help me appraise them and sell them for me." Nie Lan took out the pills she just concocted and passed them over.

Yang Xin with the pills in hand felt that some had residual heat and understood that they must've been fresh pills. She took another glance at them and understood they were definitely pills but she was puzzled because she did not know what they were.

"These are...?" Yang Xin questioned Nie Lan as she truly did not understand the significance of these pills.

"For now, I have concocted the soul tempering pill as it is useful for demon spiritualists" Nie Lan said.

Yang Xin thought long and hard on this because she was not too familiar with these "new" pills that Nie Lan had concocted. Yang Xin could have sworn she heard of them from somewhere but it was on the tip of her tongue.

"What are the effects?" Yang Xin asked as she could not remember the pills by their names she resorted to understanding their value.

"The soul tempering pill is useful for demon spiritualists as I said, they are comparable to the spirit nurturing pills but has 100 times the effects of it."

Yang Xin was amazed, 100 time the effect of a spirit nurturing pill, one has to understand that the price of a spirit nurturing pill wasn't cheap and if this pill really had such effects then it would be an amount that most noble families could not afford depending on the materials to create such a pill.

"Wait... soul tempering... it can't be! The ancient pills that were lost in the past era!?" Yang Xin was surprised as she came to this conclusion.

"Yup, I wish to sell these, can you help me?" Nie Lan asked with upturned eyes towards Yang Xin giving her a throb in her heart.

"Of course dear." Yang Xin lost, she felt like such a look was cheating how could she reject the eyes of a beauty, even if she was a female she had already lost the moment such a person came to this world. Yang Xin was lost with a look of contemplation if she should just take her home and lock up such a cute creature...

Nie Lan feeling she won felt a chill creeping up her spine and immediately made a dash remembering what Yang Xin did to her before...

Nie Lan with her accomplishment wanted to spend some time in peace and quiet headed for the library. She had read some books but soon she heard a small ruckus and saw a crowd of people.

She recognized some people in the group, the most prominent in the middle of it all was Chen Linjian. Thinking of the time she matched it up with the news in her past life that the group Chen Linjian took with him went on an expedition with unexpected gains.
